I always find it fascinating how when the same model is used by another person, the amount of expression shown can changed greatly. Like how Vedal is able to show off so much cuteness while Camila can show off so much happiness.
I remember Shylily talked about how in order to control the model and make it look good you have to exaggerate your expressions and movements a lot to make the model look more "alive". I think this is such a good demonstration of that because vedal is obviously fairly calm and stoic so his model never moves, compared to Camila whos way more high energy and you can see that when she uses his model.
Plus, you have to fine tune it. Recall at the beginning with the ear flap thing... "smile bigger". Tuning would make it a more natural big smile from Vedal, not to mention the webcam stuff.
Definitely down to the energy of the movement I think, Vedal barely moves but you can see his eyes moving around really well (like at 8:09 when he leans forward to look at the screen, you can see his eyes moving back and forth) while Cam’s body language is a lot more pronounced and expressive

I think Vedal is just normally someone with somewhat more flat expressions, I know I'm a very heavy case of such, when I try to make my smiles noticeable from even a slight distance, my face tends to either grimace or do a Cyberdyne T-800 smile and when I use my model the expressions are rather flat and with the auto expression stuff it tends to put a sad face on because my eyes are always lidded and tired, I've got bags under my eyes fit to go on a mall crawl
