- I had so many requests for coconut custard pie, how could I leave it off the list? So today we have coconut custard pie with my own twist! Triple coconut custard pie with flake coconut, coconut milk and Torani coconut syrup! This is super boosted coconut flavor that is sure to please any coconut lover at your holiday table or celebration!
This recipe is old school custard pie! Baked in the oven until set then chilled before serving. It is creamy, thick and delicious. I also have a quick and easy coconut cream pie recipe on my channel that you can find here: bit.ly/2f6Nw6v
The difference between the two is that the coconut cream pie has the filling usually made on top of the stove, in my case I used instant pudding and folded in whipped cream and top with more whipped cream and chill till set. The coconut custard pie filling is mixed up using raw eggs and poured into a blind baked pastry shell and baked until set. They both need to be refrigerated all the time until served. This is one of our family favorites.
I started with a blind baked pastry shell using my cream cheese pie crust that you can find here: bit.ly/1y9m10O
I like to bake my shell in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes then remove it and turn the oven down to 325 to bake the pie.
I mixed up all the ingredients to make this super simple custard. Eggs, sugar, flour, milk, coconut milk, Torani coconut syrup and vanilla. Easy! Pop in the oven for an hour to an hour and 15 minutes and you're good to go.
You will want to allow this pie to come to room temperature before refrigerating so that the filling will not weep upon cooling. When you get ready to serve it, get some sweetened whipped cream and go to town! This pie is delicious and very easy to make! I think that some people may think that this is more difficult that this. It isn't! You are going to love this pie!
I hope you give this triple coconut custard pie a try and I hope you love it!
Happy Piesgiving!

I was eating a homemade frozen coconut bar when this video popped up in my feed! Definitely making this, as the only coconut pie recipe I've ever made was given to me by an Amish gal and although it's super yummy, I need to shake it up a bit. thank you!
Oh wow I love anything Coconut and especially coconut desserts. Looks amazing
Thank You. I've been waiting for someone I know cooks great and I trust to come out with a coconut custard pie. Just in time for my birthday, no cake for me this year!!! God Bless You and Yours

I love pie and I need to make this ! We have pie night every year and I try to add a new one to the table and I think this is it :)
Your hubby is so funny...stealing coconut, spilling it in the milk, then choking when he lies to you...so funny 😂 love your videos. Greetings from Ireland. 👍🏻
I started drooling when you started pouring lol
Definitely making this! You make it look so easy. I love the idea of subbing with some coconut milk, brilliant!

Delicious! I love this holiday! Pies Giving! You need your own calendar for this Holiday. To can put pics of these sexy pies you make. Torani is lucky to have you as a consumer. You have showed us so many ways to use it. I would never have thought of some of the uses you have shown.
A pie calendar! What a great idea! A year of pies! What an interesting idea.
This looks awesome btw. My grandmother makes a coconut pie with a meringue top also!!
omgoodness, i was watching your pineapple upside down cake video when i saw this on the side, yummmmo!! thank you for this recipe!

You can never make a pie too coconutty!! Nice!
thank you for sharing I definitely want to make this it looks soooo good xx
Thanks, Noreen! I am going to make this for myself and not share with anyone! I am the only one in the house that likes coconut anyway. Yum!
Looks amazing....would it be ok if it was made with half the sugar??
No.
this is one of my FAVORITE PIES OF ALL TIME!!! THANK YOU for sharing it!!!
oh my oh my mouth is watering:) love to try this recipe!:)
omg that looks amazingly yummy :-) will have to put it on to my bake list :-) thank u :-)
I started watching your video for fruitcake but had to answer the phone and it was gone when I returned!
How do I find it?
It looked delish!
Pie looks great.. How much Torani and Coconut did you use? Looks like a Pint of Coconut flakes, but don't know about the Torani Syrup.
Where do you buy pie shields. As I was watching the video and saw the crust edging was brown going in the oven, I figured ti would be burnt. But then I saw the pie shield. Interested in getting some.
You two are so funny. Love your videos.
Hello! I can't find the info for the Handy Stirrer. Thanks.
Looks delicious!!!! But I HAVE to ask. When you say coconut milk are you using canned coconut milk, or the coconut milk you can buy that's sold by the almond milk in the dairy aisle?!
THANKS!
capt.sandy Vagoo I wondered the same!
At first I'd guess canned, but you can never be too sure. I'd rather ask and make sure since I wouldn't want to just assume and then ruin the final product. But I always wonder why people never make sure it's known when now a days there's so many "different" versions of things called by the same name!
capt.sandy Vagoo Oh, she said "can" at the end during tasting!
I used almost a whole can of Trader Joe's coconut cream. You can use regular canned coconut milk. I find the canned coconut milk has a much more pronounced coconut flavor than the refrigerated versions which are only a substitute for regular milk.
Great, thanks! I know there's a difference, and I'd think the canned has a higher fat content, making for a better pie :)
Ok.... I am in charge of pies for the Thanksgiving meal, and I know I'll be making pumpkin (of course), but I've been trying to figure out what else. I think I found it!!
Do you have a source for the pie shield I have never seen one. Coconut is our favorite pie! Thanks or the recipe.
where is the link to the hand mixer that you are using i don't see it.
Noreen, could u plz explain the cream cheese crust to me, so I can use ur recipe, thanx PJ, blessings🙏
I have a video of the cream cheese pie crust. You can find it on my channel or by doing a search
Can you use freshly grated coconut?
What are the amounts of flaked coconut and coconut syrup? You didn't mention the quantities.
How much torani syrup did you use? and when you say instead of the syrup use sugar and extract is that additional to the 3/4 cup used before? Sorry for all the questions.. Would love to try and make this for my husband :) thanks for sharing :)
I will have the recipe posted on my website some time tomorrow. I am sorry for the delay. We had a death in our church family. This was just not a priority. You need 1/4 cup of the syrup. Yes, you use the sugar as well. You only need the coconut extract if you don't have the syrup.
Noreen's Kitchen Thanks you and sorry for your loss
Did you use a deep dish pie plate or one of the old fashioned skinny ones?
I only ever use 9 inch deep dish pie plates
Thank you
Can you please write the recipe? I can't find it..thank you
This is BBQ Ed 😂
You never said how much coconut syrup you used??
The fingers are back!!!!!! Watch those tricky digits Noreen!!!! They are pinching ingredients. We saw their sinister, slow stalking of the coconut shreds!!!
He knows the people love the fingers. He aims to please.
Noreen's Kitchen we love them! It's like watching an Animal Planet 🌎 show where the hiding predators are in the bushes and come and snatch the goodies!!! Hehheh
+Hacienda Homestead That Rick....what a cutie PIE,eh? :-)
thought you would use coconut in the crust also
No, I never do that for this pie. You really can't add coconut to a pastry crust. You can add it to a cookie or cracker crust. I don't really prefer those type of crusts.
you could use coconut oil in the crust, that would make it a quadruple coconut pie.
Lyla Schmooz no coconut oil is not something you should use in pie crust. This crust is a cream cheese pie crust. You really need a fat that is solid at room temp. Coconut oil is not.
That sneaky cameraman stole some coconut and then started coughing? I think they call that karma:)
Is the recipe available for this pie?
Can I use a raw pie crust like pumpkin pie?
Noope.
Walter H. White I have watched a few other videos of people that did.
Yes
Yes
You should not use a raw pie dough because it will not cook properly. YOu really do need to blind bake it. Other recipes may show a raw crust, but I promise you that it will not be the same.
Where can I get a printable version of the recipe? I can't find it on your website.
Belinda Everman I will have it on my website sometime tomorrow
how do I find the recipe. I am new to looking for recipes on youtube
Carolyn Perez there is a link in the information box below the video that will take you to the recipe on my website.
Oh you evil woman, you. Leading me into the world of coconut pie, my absolute favourite. But this one sounds interesting enough to give in to temptation, and the calories!
Noreen, that looks so good!! I was wandering if you have a chicken casserole with stuffing recipe?
💀💀😂😂😂😂 2:37 😂😂😂😂😂👌👌
Lmao he goes I dont know...
2:57 💀💀💀💀💀!!!
Please lovey could you not shout so much if I turn it down I miss bits your voice is quite harsh.
