Your democracy was ruined long ago, military takeover, crackdown on opposition etc. these things never happen in functional democracy on daily basis. Look at Modi, he overturns farm bill passed by both houses parliament on facing backlash, protests, Indira Gandhi overturns her own changes made in constitution during emergency and lost, our military never interfere in internal matters different from yours long history of it.

How India is responsible for your internal and societal problems in Bangladesh? We have to do business with whoever is in power. India is worried about Bangladesh because any instability increases infiltration attempts to India. Also persecution of Minorities which is mainly Hindus is of concern to India as a responsibility of post partition. India always had only positive influence on its neighbours.
You guys need only countries like China which will totally destroy small countries through financing unsustainable projects and later taking over their Assets.

I think countries with said secular extremist politics are the exact examples that show how dangerous it is. Living in America, I'm quite spoiled, I know it. But I've also seen how our system has developed thacks to secular influences into a police state. But if the people from India are believing what your mainstream media said for the last 5/6 days are extremely lies & highest level of propaganda about Bangladesh. I am just shocked how they intentionally portrayed a student protest into a muslim fundamentalist/terrorists protest😂. They are creating interesting stories about how Hindus in Bangladesh are suffering & there is a mass genocide going on them bla bla. Yes to be honest there are some incidents where some hindus are being attacked. But interestingly they were also done by awamileague I mean Hasina's party. They were trying to prove to india thay "See without Awamileague Hindus are not safe in Bangladesh. All other opposition parties are muslim fundamentalists/ conservatives/terrorists bla bla. They will kill all the hindus 😂😂 bla bla. I can give you one example from India. In your country what does Modi say?
" Hindu khatre mai hai" Idhar bhi aisa hi hain. Hasina bhi religion card khelti hai. Wo isme mahir hai.
I saw all the indian news channel showing hindu cricket player Liton Das's house was burned by Muslims terrorists in bangladesh. But the truth is It was muslim cricketer's house named Mashrafee😂

India's policy have always been the person based, they need to remember it's the relationship among two countries. This has been done consistently and that's the reason that India is so much hated in it's neibotghr's countries. Maldives Bangladesh ,Nepal the same scenario , Now it's high time to ask the leaders to change the way it is.
If we work for and individual rather than the people the hatred is inevitable and that's what happening in Bangladesh.
Just because you are a big country doesn't mean u have the right to be unjust in every chance you get.

Finally, a sensible analysis by a respected Indian dignitary about the current situation in Bangladesh. Thank you Sir for the initiative.
There’s no denying of the reality; at this moment Bangladeshi people are unsure whether India is their best friend! However, I would suggest to leave the Hasina chapter behind and move on.
Yes, we’re ready as always, to continue the cooperation with India in the business sector and other areas. If, like an elder brother, India comes one step forward for a handshake; we’ll take two steps for doing so.
On matters of national interest; we must take into account the opinions of the peoples of the two countries before entering into an agreement. Nothing should be done without their consent. If, like in the past, one person’s opinion is counted as the concurrence of the whole country; that is never going to work.
Therefore, let’s work on win-win basis and only that can turn the common Bangladeshis into real friends of India. Friendship based on mutual respect and cooperation thrives for long by default.
    Thanks again.

As a democracy India's unconditional support for farce elections of 2014, 2018 and 2024 is the primary source of enmity from the people of Bangladesh. India's indifference to all the accusations of enforced disappearances, extra-judicial killings and all the human right abuses against the Hasina government has been aptly documented by Amnesty International, UNHCR, Human Rights Watch, etc. People's perception of India is primarily based on these factors. India blinded itself from the reality on the ground and sees Islamic ghosts everywhere. India has lost it as being a moral compass for the region.

When everyone says you're wrong and you're the only one who says you're right.
Historically Troubling Relationships Between India and Its Neighbors -
Pakistan: The relationship between India and Pakistan has been marked by long-standing political and territorial disputes, including the Kashmir conflict. Since their partition in 1947, the two countries have experienced periods of heightened tension and conflict.
China: India and China have had a complex relationship, often characterized by competition and mistrust. Border disputes, particularly in the regions of Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh, have led to several military standoffs and skirmishes over the years.
Nepal: While India and Nepal share a long history of cultural and economic ties, there have been periods of tension. Issues such as border disputes and Nepal’s concerns over Indian interference in its internal affairs have sometimes strained relations.
Sri Lanka: Relations between India and Sri Lanka have had ups and downs, particularly concerning the Sri Lankan civil war and the treatment of the Tamil minority. India’s involvement in the conflict and its stance on the post-war situation has occasionally caused friction.
Bangladesh: Although India and Bangladesh generally have a positive relationship, there have been issues related to border disputes, migration, and water-sharing agreements. Historical events, such as the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, have also influenced their relationship.
These relationships are complex and can evolve over time due to changes in leadership, policy.

Putting all eggs in one basket from India in not intentionally but it’s hasina who created things in such a controlled way that even people from Bangladesh didn’t know where to find a peace resulted this huge huge shame and incident of hasin fled country.
Bangladesh need India support without any doubt but the support from India must be without any bias mess for any pattivular person. Relationship with India Bangladesh will never try to hinder but if India still focused on that particular person believe me things will go very bad even worst as her reputation in Bangladesh right now in such an extent.
So requesting to keep ties with Bangladesh for the people of Bangladesh and peacefulness for the region. Forget the one who has detached herself from Bangladesh for her own lust for power and money and her boasting…

In my opinion, some analysts have greatly erred in their opinion that India should chose USA over China in respect of foothold in Bangladesh. With the USA and CIA firmly entrenched on the ground in Bangladesh, extreme jihadisation of all elements in Bangladeshi society will see the light of the day within a span of less than a year. The CIA and Mossad had planned vivisection of India by carving out Christian fundamentalist and Jewish theocratic countries on Indian soil, as early as the late 1980's. The horrendous ethnocide of Hindu Reangs (Bru) community in Mizoram is a case in point. The info and strategy of such analysts appear to be 30 years behind our current times. With the CIA at the helm, the supposedly brilliant strategy of India being able to forge eventual rapproachment with Bangladeshi civil society by trying to promote "Bengali" identity in Bangladesh, will become an elaborate joke. Using the modus operandi which Mossad and CIA had employed in the 1980's against the government in Afghanistan, donations will be sought from patrons in just about every shop and mosque of Arab Gulf puppet states, aimed at Arabisation of Bangladeshi Islam and cutting Bangladeshi society completely from its "heathen" Indic roots. Arab patrons are already more than too willing to shoulder this pious responsibility, notwithstanding superficial pretentions by MBS to move towards a modern and tolerant version of Islam. Bangladeshis will choose trucking with panIslamism as their national identity instead of Bengali any day, and as the CIA minion Mohammed Yunus has already announced from his mouth in an unguarded overconfident moment, this PA Islamism will spill over to Indian provinces. Sheikh Hasina had tried unsuccessfully to stem this imminent tide of Islamism. With covert blessings of the CIA, the ideologues guiding the current ruling dispensation in Bangladesh speaks of a united Islamic Bangladesh comprising of entire West Bengal and half of Assam, and certainly not of any "Bengal". Depending on what you prefer to call it, so called Bengali nation in Bangladeshi parlance is a cryptogram for a greater Bangladesh comprising of forcibly annexed Assam and West Bengal under an Islamic dispensation based in Dhaka. The Mossad has ample past experience in inciting and I flaming anti-India passions, especially during the founding of the ISIS when Mossad had preached sermons to its cadre saying they had been handpicked by their Maker to wage jihad on India for extermination of one billion heathens, but they must conquer Syria and Iran enroute for that ambition to fructify. The most recent example is the brainwashing of Bene Menashe Kuki militant recruits by Mossad during compulsory debriefing sessions in Israel which are ostensibly aimed at redeeming the unadulterated glory of Judaic belief in their hearts by weeding out heathen Indic influences as a precondition for Israeli nationality, but which in reality are indoctrination classes meant for transmogrifying the psyche of those converts into rabid India-haters who would wage insurgency for creation of Greater Israel in Manipur upon return from their sojourn of military service in Gaza.
The folly of follies for India now will be to squander Indian taxpayers' hard earned money on bailing out Bangladesh from its financial debacle, under delusions that doing so will keep Chinese influence at bay. Bangladesh will cunningly play China card to milk India to bankruptcy. You can't stave off Chinese influence by pampering Bangladesh with grants at the expense of wealth generators among the ordinary public in India. A case in point is Pakistan whom the USA is suspecting of having siphoned off a 400 million dollar loan from the west, for defence cooperation with China. India can ill afford the extravagance of throwing its money down the gutter where it will only serve to nurture jihadists, in the vain hope that such generosity will move the latters' heart into a soft corner for India. India must put its money where it is rightfully needed, in developing core and critical domestic technologies which alone can secure India's future in a weird world. The current regime in Dhaka, a vassal of the CIA, has prioritized the incitement of orange regime-change as its principal mandate, utilizing whatever funds it can lay its hands on for that goal.

You should support Bangladesh as a whole not a person. You should act like a big brother in order to get respect from Bangladeshi. It’s simple if you don’t take care your neighbors outside foreign forces may come in and that will be bad for both countries. I live in the west & I am a behavioral psychologist. Bangladeshi people are down to earth. I say don’t meddle with their affairs. If possible help them as good neighbors. It will beneficial for both parties.

This person is certainly living in delulu land. If you think leveraging economic ties will in any way garner you influence over Bangladesh is ludicrous. It will only further deteriorate the relationship between the two countries. Moreover Bangladesh is not a landlocked and isolated country like Nepal or Bhutan, We have the biggest port in the Bay of Bengal, We will replace you if you are unable to deliver. Sure it will harm us but it will harm you too. Bangladesh generates 25000 MW of power, the meager 2000MW is not going to affect us that much I can assure you lol. Even world hegemons like the USA are starting to lose their hegemony in this 21st century multipolar world. It's baffling that there are still people in India that think cold war era foreign policy will work now on a country of 170 million people. Rather than dominating its neighbours, india should try to create a shared cutural and philosophical identity which binds all country of the sub continent, something like the concept of 'the west'. To do that you have to build peace and friendship with all your neighboring countries. This is the only way India can have any sort of hegemony.

Look india is our biggest neighbor last 50 years india didn't act like a good neighbor, pls dont take my words for it pls do your research. 1972 Farakka was opened for testing few days which by now made Bangladesh a desert. We pay Adani 400 core per month regardless we use the electricity, only Taka 40 tariff per ton for tansit thru BD, we are 4th largest remittence, 3rd largest trade partner, #1 in tourism yet india supports Tyrants to advance their agenda who rubberstaps india's wishes. Few years back to balance trade we requested a list of 1600 items and only 6 was approved. Our boarders are more dangerous than Gaza/Israeli boarder, During covid we paid advance for vaccines but that wasn't delivered. We can list 1000 more such example. In 1971 india also gained by defusing tension from it's east. It is in our both interest to keep good relationships but India is just taking. If India and India's think the dony need Bangladesh, we will be happy if you shut down all tades and seal the boarder. Our minorities our brothers and we will protect them with out lives, yes during tension some ppl try to play race card but its under control. We dont talk about gross minority treatments that takes place within india.

It is a requirement in Islam to eat cow meat? What is the big deal if it is banned? Many countries have also banned pork, alcohol, and have halal rules. There are so many other foods and meats, why only eat cow meat to deliberately offend Hindus? Hindus in Bangladesh don’t deliberately insist on pork and hold secular pork festivals to make fun of Muslims. Also, not eating cow is about local cultures more than religion. In most of India, cattle herding was common so cattle are a cultural icon. And there are literally blasphemy laws in Bangladesh where people can be locked up for insulting Islam, even by accident. India declares itself a secular, socialist country in its constitution but Bangladesh declares Islam as the state religion and has a national mosque.
