If the backwards compatibility for games and accesories is true, the next Switch/Nintendo console is an instant sell for me.

It sounded like bluetooth accesories are backwards compatible, but joycons might not be, right? Or did I interpret that wrongly?

A different leak claimed the new Switch would be called the Switch Attach. This makes way more sense with the new magnetic joy cons.

Has anyone considered that magnetic joycons could eliminate the need for the joycon grip all together? They could orient the magnets in such a way that the rails only attract the corresponding joycons AND the joycon themselves are attracted to one another. For example -

I really wished they would bring back analoge triggers... Mario Sunshine was so good with it, Shooters would benefit from it and Splatoon could have so much more creativity. Also Sony proved with the Ps5 controller that resistive analogue triggers are no gimmick. Astro's Playroom has shown me this would be amazing for gaming and I wish Nintendo would implement that too.
Bring back System OS music even today Wii (u) (3)DS music is still used in internet culture. Because it's so iconic. The OS sucks, no theme's no folders, no iconic music. Eshop still laggy after 7 years.
Miiverse was a amazing thing people didn't give Nintendo credit for. I hope they can bring it back too, having little subs where people can draw, write and share pics about a specific game was so fun! Sending messages to each other. Nintendo's way of having friends communicate was so fun. It's sad they were forced to "mature" and drop these things. I would love it to be something again with the next switch. And just their fun little things like maybe show the weather, have lite mii's showing the time, interacting etc. That's Nintendo. ❤

I just HOPE they do something to PERMANENTLY fix the joy-con drift that switch owners are STILL having to this day.
I've seen 3rd party ones with magnets that get NO drift at all, did to my original joy-cons, STILL works perfectly!
I still have my original N64/Wii/WiiU controllers, those STILL have no drift, why not use that technology (or something like them) instead?
I think since the SL and SR buttons are Metalic and Magenetic; that means that they will lock in via the SL and SR buttons AND also magnetically for extra stabilty. Plus we should be able to use them more comfortably as buttons without the straps.
I agree SO MUCH with not wanting a "next" console, I too just want the "Pro" version of the Switch. They did hit the nail on the head as you've said, totally. If it ain't broke don't fix it! It's nearly perfect as-is, just update it! Refine it! Gimme that Pro Switch (and give it to me with an OLED screen please as well, thank you).

The fact this also aligns with recent manufacturing "leaks" means this is probably all true.
I reckon the cartridges will be shorter, in the same way the gameboy advanced was to the gameboy. You can still play gameboy games in the gameboy advanced, they just stick out a whole bunch to remind you to get the new version of the game! They will play it someway.
Seperate note, oled would be the best, but i prefer playing my switch lite in bed rather than the switch oled as its so much more handheld. I hope the sort cloud saves this generation too..
Yeah they'll do something similar for sure! Yeah that's true the lite is really compact! I hope they improve the saves too and sort out the annoying account issue if you have multiple consoles

I don't know about them calling it swtich something. It was a bad Idea with Wii U, imo they gonna call it something else completely.
It's still going to be within the "Switch family" since it's more of a pro model than a true console successor, if that makes sense. So, super likely it will be a Switch "something" to tie it in with the other systems/family.
It worked for the 3DS/New 3DS.

Probably overthinking the screen issue TBH. Even at 7.4ish they should be able to use an older flagship cell phone screen. Nintendo is notorious for using this tactic for parts because it gets their costs down. A partnership with Samsung for the display would be ideal, their tablet and phone screens have been top notch for years.

I am pretty sure i am gonna buy a switch 2 and i live 4-5 minutes away from a techstore so i am going to be there day 1 probbably but i am sure i am not the only one lol so i think i would get a switch 2 like 2-5 months after release cause i cant get one cause they all are sold out

@@128KB I'll be sad if the rails are magnets instead though! as wobbly as switch rails are I rather have that then magnetic pins also that means for handheld id need different controllers!
@@128KBbtw I just got the m6HD! It’s nice but the tightness of the rails are crazy! Do they get looser? Because it’s almost a dealbreaker for me since I switch allot from handheld to docked back and forth!
I love my mobapad g6 hd, but mobapad isn't even licensed by nintendo.... why would they have info to leak? You sure this isnt just a pathetic stunt to make people feel better about buying new accs this late in to the switchs run? Not wanting to buy new joycons this late into the swtichs life cycle is easily the most common and practical excuse all over youtube and reddit for not wanting to invest in the mobapad 6 hd lol. Since they aren't licensed by nintendo mobapad would be the only one to benefit from this "leak"
Only HORI is licensed by Nintendo for joycons (the split pads) and Mobapad isn't the only company saying this either. Since everything is made in China they very likely have hands on, which align with other companies supposedly having hands on according to other leaks popping up over the past couple days! However, you could be right!
i expect the Oled version of the Switch 2 to drop after, maybe 6months to a year after the Switch 2
I'm hoping they launched with at least QLED if they don't go OLED to start with. Hope they do an OLED some day like you said!
i was not be disappointed if the handheld screen is not oled it was be ok with that it doesn't matter to me if it's not oled as long it's mini led qled i would be down for that i also think graphics spces don't matter to me i think it doesn't need to be powerful as ps5 and xbox series x i think overpowered graphics spces are overrated to me to be honest i would embrace the next gen nintendo hardware for what it is that's just me i think it's a bad idea to make it more powerful as ps5 and xbox series x because it would be way too expensive that's not what i want i don't want it to be too expensive overprice i also don't want nintendo to be like sony and microsoft follow what they are doing with powerful spaces i love that nintendo is doing there own thing not competeing because i always hate it competetion so much i think competetion console wars are overrated

I think it would be a mistake to brand it as the “Switch 2”, very reminiscent of the issue with the Wii U. I could be wrong though, look how successful the 3ds was

People thought that the successor to the N64 would be called Dolphin, the successor to the Game Cube would be called Revolution. There were rumors that the successor to the GBA would be called Nintendo Nitro, and the successor to the 3DS would be called Nintendo NX.
If history is any indication, rumors regarding the name of next generation nintendo console usually turns out to be false.
No, if they release a successor to the switch oled, it probably won't be called Switch Attach like the rumors say.
Those aren't false exactly, those were just the internal code names of the systems.
