Was just at the Hershey RV show myself. I go every year. My motto is, Never Give up! Lost my better half camping guy to cancer and have continued on as a solo rv traveler, as well. Have a fiver, a vintage 77 Serro Scotty front kitchen as well as a Napier truck tent for my Ford F350 that I love. I can pack everything up including my electric trike I have and my mini beloved dachshund named Karma. I’m not full time yet but will eventually buy something that is practical for my safe and well being as I’m wanting to head west. I follow many nomads and rvers on here. Keep hoping a reasonable in bed truck camper fully boon docked capable becomes available soon. Your channel is informative and take those with criticism with a grain of salt. This is your life not theirs. Carry forward strong. Safe travels and may we meet somewhere on the road!!

I'm looking forward to seeing you "out there"! You've got great travel options, the west is calling us both. I hope to make a ride that way early next year. Thanks for your kind words and safe travels.

A few years ago I found a decent Winnebago View on EBay and, after looking at trailers, I would try the same again.

There are definitely some good ones there, of course doing some homework helps to find them. All the best for your search!

Thanks for the tour. Sorry I missed running into you. I was at the show Thursday afternoon until closing. Mainly to check out the T@B 360 again.

I should also pick your brains at some point about your experience towing with the Cayenne. I need to upgrade my TV before I can upgrade to the 360. The Cayenne is an intriguing option

It was a huge show, I'm always amazed anyone can find each other there. I did see a couple of viewers along the way. We'll definitely catch up at some point.

And yes, I'm happy to chat about the Cayenne. It's worked out well so far for me.

I’ve been looking forward to this video. I went to Hershey with an idea of what I wanted and still found myself overwhelmed by the sheer number of trailers and people at the show.

Thank you, I hope it is of some help. Overwhelming Hershey is, I feel that every year just walking through the show. I will also be posting more on GPS2, mostly units that weren't in the main video.

I am thinking Trailer under 24’, totally fiberglass, with a shower/toilet. Burrito/ Casita, Escape and anyone else who pops up.

    • @Great_Places_Seen_GPS
      @Great_Places_Seen_GPS  Месяц назад

Those are good ones. I also saw nuCamp's Barefoot and Cortes at Hershey. Fiberglass is definitely durable.

@@Great_Places_Seen_GPS ...but you have to treat it like a boat, so outside/exterior maintenance means yearly polishing/buffing and waxing, which can end up being some serious work or expense if your have it professionally done, especially if the fiberglass RV (or boat!) is stored outside in the weather where the sun is on it 24/7. Not quite the "haul out" service boats need, but like boats you DO need to care for the fiberglass/gel-coating. One solution: Store a fiberglass RV inside (as I'm trying to do)!

They are not taking the time to actually make these shower enclosures. You can find the same ones at Home Depot and Lowes already to go. Your just cut to fit.

I find it disappointing and a missed opportunity. They're 'functional' but simple changes could make RV showers so much better. I think a specialty manufacturer could own the market, without affecting retail prices.

You did not stick with your search criteria.👎

What I was aiming to show was not fully available at Hershey, even though it touts itself as "America's Largest." Perhaps they mean rig size, because the vast majority there were huge. The video description goes into more detail.

You said solo and all your showing is bunk houses. You also said 20 ft and under and most are over 20. This is why I gave a thumbs down. Good luck on your RUclips journey

    • @Great_Places_Seen_GPS

You get thumbs up for watching and commenting, thanks! First, I said (before starting) “mostly under 20 feet.” You can see in the wide shots, small trailers were few. I had four of 16 at 21, one at 24, the rest at 20 and inches or less. Keep in mind tongue length takes about two feet off living space.
Bunks - no trailer is made just for solos. All model configurations were not present. I have learned some solos prefer bunks. The top is a fixed single bed, the bottom convenient for long term storage more than cramped cubbies, compartments and drawers in small units.
I hope that clarifies, again, thanks for watching!

@chadkoller7809 I greatly appreciate your comments and those like them - they help me review, think and refine for next time. I certainly had room to clarify better. I did make some additions to the description. Thanks.

@@Great_Places_Seen_GPS ...but YOU said in the title "solo rv travel." If it's not MOSTLY focused on solo RVers, then change the title.
chadkoller7809 has a point but folded like a wet noodle -- don't fold (or apologize) when you're right.
Stick to the video's title or change it.

I travel solo. I looked at trailers I'd consider. If you'd like to see others, I have another video of nine more.
