I have been a Dior Platinum member for the past several years as a loyal customer and yeah after this debacle, I emailed Dior and told them I am no longer interested in spending the limit to remain Platinum next year because of the way the situation was handled. Customer service was incredibly rude about the situation as well. The candle and soap are literally free gifts with beauty purchase; I've been around long enough to know that as a fact. If they would've replaced with the white cosmetic train case with the scrunchie cotton pads etc or perhaps even have offered full size of the soap and candle, that would've been a much more comparable replacement I feel. Last year, Dior also made everyone spend $400 just to get an EMPTY Dior Mooncake box; that actually had people feel insulted; they at least did issue an apology for that. I literally have zero tolerance for this type of business model. A lot of department stores offer 15-20% off on Dior beauty products multiple times a year; as a matter of fact, 1 department store I know is offering 15% off right now this week. I literally do not need to shop on Dior's website. Rant over lol
My loyalty to Dior isn't blind, but based on merit. Dior broke my trust with this replacement holiday gift. As many people have said, these items are free gifts with purchase. So now it's time for me to move on to other beauty brands. It's been nice knowing you, Dior, we've had some great times together. Thank you for this video. Dior should have 100% done better, the problem is multifold, first they should have never given the globe to influencers online, especially when most of them most likely do not have platinum status. Second, how do you not know how many of the item you will need? Third, IF it's a limited quantity or special edition Dior should have made that clear to the platinum members before the launch. I received the email logged in and it was gone. I reached out and I was literally told to sit down and wait. Dior needs to apologize and own their mistake; people are spending thousands of monies to get these gifts for them to be treated like this. @Dior do better.
To me it’s not about a snow globe. It’s about how a company treats its loyal customers who spend a lot of $$$$! The bait and switching, ignoring that they know the numbers of who is at which level, and fobbing off another gift worth $3, and customer service being rude when people are upset about the situation … that’s where I have an issue. You’re right, the perfume set would have made a lovely substitute! I would have liked it better than a snow globe, and definitely better than a tiny soap 😂

I was not happy I missed out on the Globe! I have been a Platinum Member for years and to get a replacement gift that is almost akin to a gift with purchase is nuts! I will be giving the set to a friend anyway (as I would have done the globe), but it is the lack of thought that is the problem! BUT what I would be really mad about is if I had been prompted to spend MORE money to become a Platinum, Member with the lure of the Globe only to not get it. That just seems so wrong! I am so sorry for all those people who fell for that con! I guess my money next year will go to YSL or Chanel!! The Chanel Globe is nicer anyway!

Totally agree. When I saw Privee discovery set, I was thinking the same (a Privee fragrance set that you can sample). I also agree the Privee Perfumer’s set would’ve been a nice replacement. Dior should’ve had a better ‘dazzling’ replacement for those who weren’t able to get a snow globe which would’ve resulted in less of an uproar. Glad you got yours! So pretty!! 😍
This snow globe has become a disaster for Dior. I missed the globe and I was totally fine with that because I prefer the Privee Discovery set. When I logged into my Dior account over the weekend, the snow globe was gone but I had an offer for the Discovery set. However, I wasn’t able to checkout as that wasn’t available. Yesterday morning, I logged into my account again and to my surprise, it was available. I immediately checked out. This morning, I received an email saying that my order was cancelled. I looked to see if the offer was reinstated and of course, it is not. I called the customer service number and spoke to a very nice associate who informed me that my platinum gift would be sent out to me. As of tonight, there’s no email or anything in my account that says I’m even receiving a gift. In my opinion, Dior has mishandled this and it has become a marketing nightmare for them. I’m curious to see what happens and if I will get my platinum gift. They expect us to buy more to retain our platinum status, they should do the same in ensuring that their more loyal clients are given what they’re being offered as part of the loyalty program. 😢 Thank you for making this video!

Yeah, I’m so miffed. I am so disappointed about the Snow Globe. The kicker is that they cancelled my order of the lackluster replacement without explanation.
They never notify anyone with cancelations and out of stock products. Dior's communication with their customers really bites. They canceled one of my orders yesterday with no explanation. My credit card has a credit for the order when the email I got for the cancelation said my credit card would not be credited. Very confusing.
They should have a cutoff date of when you need to be platinum to get the snowglobe. If they ran a reward system its easy to identify these king of things to cover valuable clients. If some received a replacement that says a lot from the brand.
Same with my account. Went to redeem the candle and soap and the next day it was cancelled. Call CS and was told about a glitch. The gift was nowhere to be found in my account. I feel like the new program is really not worth it
I got that pitiful soap and candle as a platinum welcome gift. Which is especially laughable, seems as the gold gift was a lovely hefty refillable perfume and shower bag. Really poor show by Dior. In the UK we don't even get a Holiday gift.

I'm just going to claim whatever gifts I can while I can. However, if they improve their system and make the better gifts available for EVERYONE eligible, I would definitely reconsider. I'm curious as to what your crisis management DH would have to say about this matter. Maybe tell us in a short?

Don't all of us who are Platinum already have tons of the little Prive fragrance bottles ... I have about 30 I think. I'm also waiting for an answer from Dior since I learned I received a Gold welcome gift though I have been Platinum for years and no Birthday gift at all. This is just ridiculous ...Chanel doesn't treat us this way.
