Great tour; nice to see a record store like i remember as a kids. Lots of full bins with more then one or two records I miss that kind of selections that made hunting for records a true adventure. Cheers! Shawn.
I agree. I felt like a kid taking the train to NYC/Greenwich Village to record shop for the day. I was floored by this one store. The posters and ephemera on the walls were incredible.
My goodness. What a wonderful shop. For me, it's not just about enjoying records but also seeing how they are merchandised. Thanks so much for sharing this visit.
I'm of the same mind. The stores are fascinating visually. And the older they are, the more interesting they are for me. i have a video posting later this month that is a record store in Tokyo that's been in operation since 1930, in the same neighborhood.
A few things: 1. Thank you for being a consistent and constant thoughtful commenter on my videos. 2. I promised the owner I would mask pricing and missed that one Mint entry you cited. It’s been corrected. 3. Be-In is a rarity specialist. Plenty of ¥500 - ¥3000 records in the bins. But the quality is NM to M for the rarest things and yes, stores will ask the equivalent of $125 USD to $3000 for a rare record. It may sit on the shelves longer... ¥158 to $1USD as of today....the Western vinyl shoppers are here buying now 🙂

Looks like another great store!
It's really special and you'll need a guide to help you get there, so cash in those S&H Green Stamps and consider any May or September....
@@ricefieldrecords Oh, goodie! I knew those would come in handy!
Hi Michael I appreciate your kind words!
My pleasure, Martin.
Another great store
Thank you Arnie. Much appreciated.

What a gorgeous looking record store, can't wait to visit it! Thank you for the video
Have fun! Let me know how your visit goes.
Lots of rarities in there. Great store. Thanks fo sharing.
My pleasure! Thanks for viewing and a lot more to come from Koenji in the coming weeks. It's a fantastic area in Tokyo for record shopping.
That's a fine looking record store & excellently maintained. So many sections of specialty records. Nuggets are definitely within.
There were so many. A real UK specialist. A section for Lesley Duncan who wrote with Elton John. Where would I ever come across that again?
What a fantastically curated store Michael. Cheers.
My pleasure! Thanks always for watching and commenting, Jack. Always appreciated. You should visit Japan someday!
This the prices these days? $125 for Aretha on Columbia? Or considers this store their business a high end?
