I've always loved Dennis Chambers. I remember having drum lessons and one day I went to my teachers house and he said "right, today's lesson is to sit here and watch Dennis Chambers In The Pocket." It totally changed my playing. Not long after my teacher took me to Scotland to a Zildjian Day in I think 1994 and saw Vinnie, Tony Williams, Will Calhoun live and my life changed. Dennis, thank you for all your passion through the many years. You are a true blessing in the drumming community. In 2006, I was on a plane and met James Brown. We were flying from London to ATL. He was wearing a full purple suit and his hair slicked back. Stood right next to him and we locked eyes, I whispered to him "James Brown." He looked right in my eyes and said in a quite yet high pitched voice "hellooo". I was floored! Dennis, Drumeo, keep the passion Groovin'! Best, David Curtis
great stuff!! I've had the good fortune of hanging and talking with Dennis and he is an absolute great guy. And without question one of my all-time favorite drummers. Have seen him perform many times, with Niacin, Oz Noy, Mike Stern, John Scofield, and Scott Henderson. Thanks for the video!
I’ve also met Dennis he came right here to Wichita Kansas down in the wheat State to see us if I’m not mistaken I think he may have came to our premier drum store twice to do clinics, he’s cool and laid-back in real life as he is playing them drums , he’s got a very kind spirit and personality
He's a truly gentle man, never reject any requests, his autograph is very beautiful, write ✍️ very pretty words. Great attitude of drummer! Words from Hong Kong 💞
Damn, I know Ju Ju House. I made a drum kit for him way back when when I owned Mapleworks USA. I absolutely love that go-go sound of Sugar Bear and Ju Ju.
He had a liver transplant!!! Wow, I guess that's why he was looking kinda bad a few years ago. I saw his performance on the Zildjian live performances series and he looked awful. So glad he's healthy again!
