    The rice came out real nice. Another old fashioned way is to use too much water and then drain that off after a while to make "rice water". Almost like what you did but the water would cook for longer. Can't beat a dinner of white rice and brown stew.

    About how long did you cook the brown sugar for before adding the chicken?

      Hi, couple seconds. Put the oil into the pot (heat should be low) put the requires amount of brown sugar into the hot oil. As soon you see the sugar begins to form bubbles, add the chicken . Stir. Cover without adding water, heat should still be on low . Chicken should cook in its own juice. Open pot after a few minutes, maybe 4 to 5. Add the requires amount of water, turn up heat to medium high or high and cook chicken
