I am shook to the core with intense indescribable nostalgia that has me feeling incredibly joyous but also has me sadly long for more innocent and simple times when I was a child being so happy when I watched this
When I was in elementary school we used to have a screen to pull down with a projector but if the projector doesn’t work to where we could not use it we still had to get a tv cart to watch movies or shows over 10 years ago and starting from probably during my last year of elementary school is when we started using smart boards around 2011
For me, EVERYONE got lunchables, I remember trying to trade my food with my friends. I never got lunchables. I had it a couple times and did I love it. However, it was rare.
This is the most nostalgic thing I've ever heard ever since kindergarten. I actually cant believe that I remembered this song, I was just watching RUclips until this just popped in my head.
The fact us early 2000s babies growing up in the early 2010s didnt know how we were the last 10-9 year olds to experience this makes me shed a tear today kids wouldn’t kno nothing about this
I watched this show on PBS in the early-mid 80s, before LeVar Burton was TNG. Because of this show and the Scholastic book fairs in school, I was reading several grade levels above my own. Because of Mr. Wizard's World, I studied science in college. When done right, TV could definitely be good for you.
I remember waking up early at 8am every Saturday and Sunday morning when I was 7, I would turn on the PBS channel, and before all the PBS cartoons came on, Reading Rainbow would always be on first. Good times 😌
Pov: You hated this show when having to watch it in Elementary School but looked at it again years later and are hit with nostalgia. And now you respect this show and are glad you watched it in school all those years ago.
That part😭😭🤗 Reading Rainbow Magic School Bus School House Rock Bill NYE the science Guy If people really knew what it meant for childhood education they’d all still be on television today.
also the song is clearly referring to go anywhere in your imagination.. so nothing has really changed. also im pretty sure walks in the woods are still ok, just don't go clubbing with friends. just here to be a buzzkill joke ruiner, you're welcome everybody.
This song was randomly in my head today. I'm 28 and man did it bring me back to being a kid. Those were the days. Sure I enjoy aspects of being an adult but being a kid with no worries aside from homework and what video game to play was awesome. If only we were all wealthy. Then we could all just be kids in adult bodies enjoying life instead of the day to day miserable grind.
I could listen to this all day everyday. This bring back happy memories from my childhood. I can close my eyes and I am back in my childhood home, in my family room being excited and happy that my favorite show was coming on.
Wow! I remember watching this show when I was in preschool and I give it credit for giving me the inspiration to read. I was reading at a high school level when I was in the second grade.
I love this!!! It’s actually wild, I’m 23 and forgot about it until I just saw something on social media about appreciating Levar Burton. & WOW everything came back immediately I loved this show immensely growing up. I’m about to have my first baby girl, so I’m definitely going to have her watch these 😂♥️and s/o Levar we love you still !! 😭♥️
brings back so many memories. i loved when the teacher put this on. gosh, man. i really don’t wanna grow up. i just wish i could go back sometimes and relive the moment. its almost 2020. they’ll think of something.
Haven't watch this show in age and only remember little of it, but here I am about to be 26 watching it again thanks to PBS Retro and loving this show more. This show is imaginative and educational too. I like how Levar goes to many different places in the world in while discussing about the books and well as some history
Levar Burton came to my university in 2016. It was truly amazing to be able to hear him speak in person. Such an articulate & pleasant person. He was my hero when I was a child.
Wow, I used to watch reading rainbow when I was 5 years old, I feel old af now...damn the nostalgia of seeing this and hearing the theme song...I seen the host of this show Levar Burton on CSI tonight that's what made me come here,,,hes in his mid 60's now and he still look great for his age.
