The rise of guys going to the gym has led to the rise of number of prawns. But I do have to say that a good body can go a looooong way for average looking guys, whereas a good looking guy with an average (or below average) body gets demoted quite fast in the “gay attractiveness” scale.
I think when someone works out really hard and has that hot body, it somehow transforms their face or how they look. I personally think Singaporeans are attractive! (Plus i like their English accent - Singlish accent).

That is not exclusive to Singapore.... in the Philippines we have a term called "HIPON" meaning shrimp/prawn, We even say to Hipon looking guys.... "tapon ulo" which means throw away the head, cause the body is okay but the face can be thrown away. And in our country the term Hipon can also be used for straight men.
