Hey, I just wanted to say thank you so much for these videos. My brain has been obsessively researching mechanical pencils to find the perfect one for me, and your excellent reviews have been a lifesaver. I have a few ideas I'd love to see you cover:
    1. A video overview of an entire pencil lineup, such as all the Dr. Grips or Alpha-Gels.
    2. A best pencils list. With your deep understanding and experience with mechanical pencils, I'd love to see which pencils you think are the best and which ones you personally use.
    3. You could compile all your ratings in a spreadsheet so, at the end of the video, we could see where each pencil fits on the list. Or, even better, a publicly visible spreadsheet with all your ratings and short descriptions attached to each rating. (I know this is a huge ask.)
Thanks again for the videos, people like you are what makes the internet so great. ❤

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions! This actually came just in time, since I’ve been wanting to start making videos again but I’m bewildered about where to start. I already have a spreadsheet I use to compare pencils, but I need to update it before releasing it.
I absolutely love the idea of a best pencils/entire lineup video, and I’m thinking of experimenting with a tier list system for the lineup videos. I’m so glad you found my videos helpful, and I’ll 100% give you a shout-out if any of your ideas are used :D

Hi! I wasn't a subscriber until I decided to randomly binge your videos and realized how much I was missing out! Keep up the good work, bro! You're amazing!
(P.S. Can you cover the Pentel Orenz AT? It's very similar to Pentel Orenz Nero but significantly cheaper. It also has a better grip similar to the graphgear 1000. Thanks!)

The prices on eBay are obscene for this pencil. You can find a Pilot 74 pencil for around this price point. Once this pencil is under $20 then its value proposition will be more favorable. I wish they came out with an all metal version plus a knurled grip. Rubber grips just fall apart after time or look nasty.

dang that's expensive. Can't stop me from burning my money though... 😅

Unfortunately I caved in and bought this pencil above $150... twice. :(
Loved your review; and I agree with all the points. It was not worth above $40.
The auto knock function wouldn't be able to catch up to how fast the lead was wearing out at times and that made me disappointed with how much I paid for it. Was expecting a flawless experience writing. It's my go to and really fun to write with for note taking because it's auto sharpening is consistent.
The colors don't really matter that much once you get one IRL, (I got Twilight Orange & Moonlight Blue) so please to anyone buying just choose the most affordable to try it out.
Also I was wondering if you were interested in expanding into traditional pencils like the Mitsubishi Hi Uni (HB, B, 2B) or Mitsubishi 9800 series. And perhaps 2.0 mm lead holders?

    • @RevieWrite
      @RevieWrite  6 месяцев назад +1

Wow! More than $150 twice is crazy haha; I’m glad you still get good use out of them though!
I’m glad you enjoyed my review and agreed with a lot of the points. It’s super disappointing that Uni hasn’t optimized that auto-knock function and still has the gall to charge so much for it. The Dive is also my go-to pencil, and (even though it’s super overpriced) it’s still a very nice pencil to write with.
As with most products, the colors don’t matter that much, but look cool. I totally agree with your point that *no one* should be paying more than MSRP for this pencil, especially for something as negligible as a special color.
I enjoy wooden pencils as a side hobby, and have a decent amount of Blackwings and Mitsubishi 9800s. Nevertheless, I enjoy mechanical pencils quite a bit more and will probably stick with reviewing them until I run out of pencils. Then, it’s very likely that I’ll shift toward wooden pencil-based content.
Thank you so much for your insightful comment! I always look forward to seeing your feedback and personal experiences with the pencils I review and hope to keep hearing from you! :D

Would you be able to review the Kuru Toga Advance Upgrade? I'm curious about your opinion on it! I just found your channel and really like the way that you systematically do the reviews!

Thanks a bunch for the recommendation! I’ll definitely put it in the soon-to-be-reviewed mechanical pencils list. You’ll also get a shout-out for the recommendation when the video comes out :D

hey, man! Love your content! I’ve been thinking of buying a Dr. Grip and i’ve seen your videos on them. However, I have a question: are the grips on the G Spec and on the Cl Play (both border and balance) similar? Because the first seems softer, and I couldn’t find this information online. Thank you!

Well thanks for this honest review! I just bought the original version, but now I know not to buy this at the insane prices. But I'll be looking at the metal versions if I like the original.

I really like how you review pencils like this. I was wondering if you were planning on posting a ranking of all the pencils you have reviewed with the score sheet. Also I was wondering if you were planning to do the same thing with pens like fountain pens.

    • @RevieWrite

Thank you for the kind words! I think I’ll stick with mechanical pencils for as long as possible- at this rate I might actually run out of them! If that ends up being a problem, I’ll probably shift into wooden pencils or erasers.
As for posting the rankings of all my pencils, I was thinking about making a sort of “Top 10” video for each price bracket/pencil type. If you have any suggestions for other ways of spreading that information, I’d love to hear you out!
Thanks again for the comment and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)

@@RevieWriteif you run out of pencils to review, you could always revamp your older reviews with your upgraded production quality and revamped rating system. If you were to do a top ten, I would love to see a marques Brownlee smartphone awards style video, where it’s like the best pencils for each category with a few runner ups. (If you do end up doing this, please add a category for “best pencil with a short tip-to-grip distance” because there does not seem to be many on the market currently 🙏)

Oh yes now that’s a complicated mechanical pencil. It’s on my wishlist. But I’m holding back because of the pricetag 😅

    • @mohammedallamy
      @mohammedallamy 6 месяцев назад +1

Oh I totally agree with you the price is to high for what we get for it. I’d rather to buy two or three pencils for that price, well a metal body pencils.
Recommendations: it would nice if review some mechanical pencils accessories like pencils cases or lead case and some refills.

Thanks for leaving a comment! It would definitely be more worthwhile to get 3 or more nice, sturdy drafting pencils instead of this $70 plastic tube haha
As for your recommendation, I might not do pencil cases, but erasers and lead types have recently piqued my interest. Nevertheless, I’ll definitely give you a shout-out if I decide to go that direction with my channel and thanks again for your comments :D

just placed an order for the same one on the Uni flagship online store in my country, it cost less than 30usd together with some free gifts which are a set of Uniball pens and a set Emmot water-based markers, I think I’m just lucky😂

That’s actually a steal! I’m glad you got such a good deal, considering they’re still going for upwards of $100 on eBay. If you don’t mind, what country did you order it from to get such a good price?
Thanks for leaving a comment and sharing your experience! :)

It all depends on personal preference. Which features are you looking for in a mechanical pencil that have stood out to you in the past and would make the writing experience more pleasurable for you?
I’m looking forward to your response! Thanks for asking :)
