@@michaeltoobased It's worth it ONCE when waiting 40+ minutes. It's an insane ride, but way too short in comparison to the waiting time. If it's sub 20 minutes, it's worth going in more than once.
Krake is a 10/10 ride if the waiting time wouldn't be so insanely long.
War toll. War mit meiner Freundin außerhalb der Saison da und wegen bedecktem Wetter auch nicht so voll. Halbe Stunde vor Parkschließung war kaum noch einer da und wir konnten mit einer ganzen Truppe Niederländern insg. 6 mal hintereinander fahren, ohne raus und einmal ganz rum. Sitzplätze durften alle in der Station wechseln, hatte ja eh keiner gewartet.
Nach der 6ten Runde wollten wir gehen, da fragt die nette Angestellte doch glatt "Wie ihr wollt schon gehen? Ach kommt schon, fahrt doch nochn Ründchen."
War ein toller Abschluss eines schönen Tages. Top.

+Yiannis G. the point is, that "Heide Park" is not a clearly themed park, it's "just a park" with mixed attractions/rides.
+Zoéy Sheppard and I think that this is the best in this park. You can go on a bit of everything, not just one theme. I've spent there two days and it was great! The best Park I ever was.
Pretty sure it wasn't 3 hours, I mean I waited for it where the que was as long as it could be and that took about 1 hour

Personal tip for everyone: Try getting a outward seat in the third row. First and second row are the ones getting stopped looking down while the third row gets to overlook not just the first drop but also the surrounding a bit which in my opinion adds a bit more fun and thrill to the ride.
after the first drop, there is no action.. the looping is better from outside (where you get wet). i thought there will be more "look over" on the top before the drop. but you sit a little bit forward, not overhanging.. so "flug der dämonen" was better :-)
This looks like a great ride especially with the inversion and airtime hill... but i can't help thinking that the overall experience of oblivion is better with the videos in the queueline, and the music in the station, as well as the sensation of dropping into the mist filled tunnel before the drop has finished, and for how long the tunnel lasts (what feels like an eternity lol), before emerging from the other side - yes it is a shorter ride with less elements, but it's the simplicity and the fear built up around it that makes it such a great ride, which although haven't ridden Krake, can guess oblivion would still be better. Although Krake looks like an interesting ride and would love to ride it (so glad they decided to add the small tunnel section after the first year)!

This is a roller coaster called "Krake", I just sat on it yesterday and it was amazing. The roller coaster is at a place called "Heide Park" in Schleswig Holstein of Germany. It took 2 hours for me to get there from Hamburg.
That's like Oblivion at Alton Towers.
Except with a Splashdown, an Immelman, and a different turn. And themeing.
Same model with different cars and completely different theming

Just looked at the POV on Sheikra...VERY nice! It just has one inversion, but the theming is done nicely. Most important, it does have TWO vertical drops like Griffon.

Waren vor kurzem im Heide Park und ich muss sagen dass die Krake garnicht so schlimm ist wie sie aussieht. Der Drop nach unten ist der Hammer und mit nichts zu vergleichen. Trotzdem eine sehr gute Achterbahn. Würde sie immer wieder fahren. :)

Als ich das erste Mal damit gefahren bin hatte ich richtig schiss vor allem weil ich 90 Minuten warten musste :D und ich bin alleine gefahren weil mein Kumpel 'kein Bock' auf die Bahn hatte. ^^
Aber das ist ein hammer Gefühl wenn man dann da oben hängt und ins Krakenmaul guckt :D

Oblivion at Alton Towers... can ride that several times and not get bored of it - although i wish it was longer, would be happy with something like this, at least it includes an inversion :)

I was at Heide Park last year, but it was pretty crowed and when I saw the waiting time for Krake was 30 Minutes and longer I was like "Neh, let's ride Desert Race instead"

The Beast at Kings Island in Ohio is over 7,300 feet long. But both The Beast and The Voyage are spectacular, and I highly recommend both.

The closest thing to this we have here in the US would be Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It's about three times as long and it has TWO hanging vertical drops. Check out the POV.

Great ride,bit short like the Eftelings Vliegende Hollander ride but really fun,especially when there are no queue's,It's allowed to rerun the thing and take another seat whenever some other person comes in to ride it.
More coasters should do that :)

Are these trains 6-wide floorless?
I know about 8-wide floored (Like Oblivion and G5), and 8- and 10-wide floorless (like Sheikra and Griffon), so this must be new... Allows for a narrower tunnel though.
