I have been recording piano through USB from my keyboard with some reverb. Im still working on my mastering skills. I use Cakewalk to master and dont use much in my chain...do you have any recomendations for masting digital piano. I have realeses if you wish with your time to listen but Im still learning. I Thank You for ant input.
Thanks for stressing that last point about top and tail fades. So many of today's mastering engineers like to cut the file right up to the first note. You can do that...but, it is indeed jarring. And, if you send your mixes in with the tops and tails chopped off, there's nothing to work with if that dead space is needed for any noise reduction or reverb, for instance. Some older media players and CD players can't straight on such a track start. BTW, unless the artist specifies it, leave a gap between songs. I like to create gaps between songs by feel. It helps with the flow of the songs. Too many people today have no patience. They want the next song to start the nanosecond the last one ends. And, sometimes that works too, but not for every song!
What I like to see is how to Master loud and cover the distortion with white noise and Dithering and balance the song with sidechaining and parallel compression for punchier dynamics.
Thank you ❤❤❤❤you’re the best
your explaination is so easy and clear and I wonder why the others makes it so difficult while explaining thanks alot
Thankyou so much 😊
