Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562-1621) was a celebrated composer and organist, working at the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. He lifted keyboard music to a new level and inspired a new generation of mainly German organists.
This is his Fantasia C5, performed by Matthias Havinga at the Ahrend-organ of the same Oude Kerk, Amsterdam.
The temperament is meantone, as was common in Sweelinck's time.
