  • The 2018-2020 Ford Expedition offers more driver-assist technology than any other full-size SUV.
In addition, an all-new high-strength, aluminum-alloy body and redesigned high-strength steel frame form the foundation for Expedition’s rugged off-road and strong towing capabilities. Thanks to the use of advanced materials, the all-new Expedition saves up to 300 pounds, and the team reinvested that weight savings everywhere it counts to give customers more technology and convenience features than ever before.
If you love cars you should subscribe now to YouCar the world famous automotive channel: goo.gl/5i54Vg
Powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with standard Auto Start-Stop plus a class-exclusive new 10-speed automatic transmission, the all-new Expedition is the most powerful Expedition ever. A newly available electronic limited-slip differential on models with Intelligent 4WD enables improved off-road capability by sending power where it’s needed.
More than 50 percent of Expedition customers value towing, and 15 percent tow weekly or monthly. That’s why the all-new Expedition offers Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which makes backing up a trailer as easy as turning a knob.
Plus, an available hands-free liftgate makes loading cargo easy.
The all-new Ford Expedition is available in XLT, Limited and Platinum series. In addition, an XL version is available for fleet customers, from law enforcement to emergency services. To help customers choose the right amount of interior room for their families, all series are available on the extended-length Expedition MAX.
The new Ford Expedition is part of Ford’s plan to grow its SUV leadership with five new vehicles for North America in the next four years.
The 2018 Ford Expedition arrives this fall. It is built at Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky.

the exterior looks like a bloated ford escape. what a flop. it's basically the F150 interior with a dial transmission selector. how shit. At least Chevy with the Tahoe gave a completely unique interior too the Tahoe with completely different materials and mostly unique features. Once again ford messed up bit time with the huge swaths of plastic, failure to offer a unique interior from the F150, and the quality looks to only be marginally better than the last gen... looks like they are still stuck playing catch up with the Yukon and Tahoe on the interior department and design department. oh and then to add salt on the wound likely it will just have the eco boost with it's horrific reliability record, worse than advertised MPG, and turbo lag. #Fail

Vagabundo Not at all. The Navigator will fill that role... and even then it won't be on the same level or serve the same purposes.

Well, most of Range Rovers are driven on asphalt, public roads :) I see that Ford is pretty nice and luxurious in some way. And Im saying that as European (mostly we have no clue about US automotve industry :) )

I'm a Ford guy, but the design of this new Expedition really sucks. It looks like they combined the Explorer's exterior with GM's Tahoe, Suburban and Escalade while the interior looks minimally modified compared to the last generation as well (basically a carryover from the F-150, even though the design of that truck is really nice). Moreover, simply using a dial for shifting gears is a firm step backward as well. They should also bring back the far more proven V8 engine that this vehicle once had before too. Lastly, simply offering one engine alone (the Ecoboost V6) is not enough and makes them lose out to other companies like GM that have more options.

this is not an expedition... an expedition is an F150 outside and in (with exception for third row seating). if you want a true expedition go for the first and second gen, they just dropped the ball again like they did with the third gen... ford build a real expedition not some city cruising boat pulling station wagon...

Front looks similar to an Explorer, which I am sure was the goal. The rear looks weird, and I am not a fan...the tail lights should have been made to more look like the Explorer as well. Interior looks appealing, but some areas looked too basic. Where is some wood grain trim on the dash and doors? Overall not bad...but definitely could have been improved. Note that this will also look similar to the upcoming Navigator

Stronger competition will help Full-size SUVs become mainstream
again. Back to the glory days when they were selling a million every
year, maybe even surpass that. And for the first time in a decade Ford
intends to go toe to toe with GM in this segment. I hope that FCA will
offer a competitive product as well!
