Back in the 90s, me and my dude would drive from Cleveland, Ohio, to Washington Heights to see ''Papi" at his pizzeria, a few times a month and go half on a quarter or half a brick, grab something to eat, and jump right back on the freeway. We usually didn't stay in NYC for longer than an hour or hour and a half, and right back on the freeway. We stuck the chunk right in the glove compartment, pretended like it wasn't there, and never got pulled over once, out of dozens and dozens of trips. It took us anywhere from six and a half to eight hours. It took longer to get home, because we obviously drove a lot safer on the way back. Everytime I passed a cop on the way home, I made sure to make eye contact with them, and maybe even gave him a head knod, just to show him I wasn't scared or worried about him, trying to show him I wasn't afraid of him and had no reason to be afraid, even tho we was basically sweating bullets lol. We would buy bud sometimes too, but we basically could get better quality and prices back home on the bud lol. Plus we didn't want that smell of the bud in the car with the white girl. We were two white guys, with no hats or hoodies on, as low key as we could possibly be. Back in early 2000’s in Connecticut. .8’s were $20 all day. When Blue Dream came in the fall that’s all we had till next season. Haze and Blue Dream. Eventually I got fronted a zip of White Widow and that go me moving. .8’s out of the pet store made me more then my $7.00 an hour wage. Never did I imagine I’d end up growing thousands of lbs on the west coast. Times have changed. We would get shaked down over a nickel bag on Wood Ave, in Bridgeport by the cops. Decades later not even moving for less than a box. I only wished I moved west before the flood. Eventually we were letting lbs for $300 just a couple years ago and that was the end of days.

I love that I spent my 90s in Jersey and NY. moved there from London in 92 at age of 9 till 2001. When Im watching all this stuff I know all the areas being spoken about. I workd on 79th floor at age of 13/14 in building one of the wtc then reasstaurant in battery park then South Street Seaport summer time and west 4th next to Washington Square Park during school months. alhumdulila blessed childhood.
This was spot on. My main spot to this day is an old 5 empty five story with a few people from the DR selling. It was sketchy though, when you say the entry word and walk up the stairs you walk into a room with 4 guys at each corner with semi auto weapons one one guy sitting at a table with a scarface pile. No chit chat allowed, u tell him a number the money and bags it up for you. btw i thought u might want to know that i made a direct connect. How it happened would take a few pages to explain.
@@MRB1199 I have no reason to lie. If you grew up in nyc during the late 70's - 90 and didn't have a connect in Washington Heights.... Well then u didn't grow up in nyc. @@MRB1199 Yes my younger brother married into a DR crew. I am just telling you how it was. It was not scarface big but probably half a cakes worth.. The place was very busy so they sold it quickly. And yes air plays a factor but the bigger problem is the temp. it it's too hot i will just turn to liquid. I buy k's here in colombia all the time and leave at least an ounce out for a few days, the product worked the same. The temp here though is the same everyday. Plus this spot in nyc required u to buy at least 20g so i guess it was just easier for them. No unwrapping every time... you would give them a number and they would pack it up for you. If you want to pm me i can give u the address - they are still there but only sell to musicians . The price is still 20 per g but they won't let u in if ur not a musician. Sort of like a co-op.

I’m about 95% sure the apartment complex that Johnny is standing in front of the entrance is where a family friend of mine lives😂😂😂 I remember staying at her apartment and checking out the area, definitely a funky area but not too bad, definitely one of the worst neighborhoods in Manhattan but that’s not saying much tbh. Never saw drug dealing as in the open as when I stayed there, only one night too. Cubans were growing the black down here in Miami late nineties all through the 2 thousands until we got legal then everybody started leaving to either Cali or Colorado but we were getting 6 racks a pee back in the day When you drove it up to New York definitely a lot of good times
They also had grows scattered all throughout the country in some obscure places too
Been here my whole life. It's changing. Fyi you walked by the best pizza in NYC. Johnnies aka pizza palace . Should of grabbed a slice and brick lol.
Pizza Palace is honestly the best pizza in NYC!!
4:13 Johnny not losing eyes on what is happening around him, EVER.
I'm from pa and had a good freind who I use too hook up with ! Dominican! Great product! But 1 of the most honest guys ever ! Never ever ripped me off ! The G man was the best ! Hope he is still alive and well 🤞🤞👊👊👊
Big facts for a lot of CT (Bridgeport to Stamford) niggaz it was either a quick drive or a metro north train ride away to get to Washington heights.. without traffic Washington Heights about 45 mins from Bridgeport CT
Yooo that’s vermilya 🤣 fishy waddup my boyy
What a goofball
Glad see somebody else isn't fooled by this clown
I buy my weed from Dyckman area.. best weed around NY on the streets, all my friends from any borough always wanna know where I get my weed from
I love that I spent my 90s in Jersey and NY. moved there from London in 92 at age of 9 till 2001.
No
This guy makes me laugh, his the rabid 👌😂😂😂
Washington heights is like the mecca for Dominicans in nyc
I hung round 163 in Broadway in the late 80/90s. Loved it up there. Good people, beautiful women best food. I'm good wit that. 😊😅😊😅😊😅
🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴 holding nyc forever
Had family on 163 and Broadway in the 80s and 90s and shit was really crazy up there
🔥🔥🔥🔥 163RD 🇩🇴💯
I remember ducking into la cancha when there was a shootout lasted 20 mins
@@MRB1199 for real 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@MRB1199 we use to go in the supermarket across from la cancha 🤣🤣🤣
Great video keep them coming
GW Bridge was 175th St. not 165th.
Here in the RGV south Texas you pay 30 for an oz....
178 and Audubon had the Haze in 89.. and 95 didn't pass through 165 it was east 178st and 179 going west!!
173 rd street and St Nicholas Ave fire. I’m 53 years old born and raised 175th street between Audubon Ave & Amsterdam Ave. I probably know you.
Now it makes sense where the sour went. The kids today would never understand that sour . Got damn you 😂😂😂😂😂
Trini 👑
Best show on RUclips period in my honest opinion.
Just found your channel last month been watching your videos very entertaining and unique loving his channel too
His channel only came out about 4 months ago
U walked by bodega we got our beer from for way home. lol.double parked somtimes
Not saying you're lying but that story seems off
@@MRB1199 I have no reason to lie. If you grew up in nyc during the late 70's - 90 and didn't have a connect in Washington Heights.... Well then u didn't grow up in nyc. Just lookup nyc in 70's-80's son it was a warzone back then not disneyland like it is now. There was a lot worse going on then 4 guys with guns and a guy with a ton of stuff on a table.
@@mikemaldanado6015 lmao I'm from there and my fam was deep in the game if you know anything about coke you can't just leave it on a table open allllll day it will lose its efficacy maybe you right but there are alooooooot of reason why it won't just be on a table like the movie's
@@MRB1199 they were probably still in the process of bagging it up. At some point you need to break the keys down and it’s messy. The humidity etc won’t have any effect on powder unless it’s left out for hours or days on end.
When I was younger, I used to drive through a part of town when I wanted something and it was easy. Now days, I stay fairly clean and I go fishing in that neighborhood and I haven't had a single person approach my car.
That's my hood stnick 175st😂😂😂😂
Ayyyy welcome to my hood
some of the very best flower I've ever smoked here in WV come outta Philly back in the 90s and early 2000s. it was fire you don't see today except in very small circles. shout out to my Jewish friends
damn I loved the 90's....college tuition was still cheap in and we got 400 a zip for indoor, basically got paid to ski and go to school occasionally
If he don’t mention Piff and haze he just an actor stealing peoples stories and making his own up
UNIQUE MECCA AUDIO!! My man!!
145th & Broadway introduced that bomb ass Haze to buddha heads in NYC over 15 years ago. To me that was out 20+ years ago. Before that "triangle" Branson was the man for high grade or Audubon spots.
Damn homie u dropping the ball… A lot
Once I saw Mecca Unique in this video I knew it was official
my hood 💪🏽
I’m about 95% sure the apartment complex that Johnny is standing in front of the entrance is where a family friend of mine lives😂😂😂 I remember staying at her apartment and checking out the area, definitely a funky area but not too bad, definitely one of the worst neighborhoods in Manhattan but that’s not saying much tbh. Never saw drug dealing as in the open as when I stayed there, only one night too. There was an old Dominican dude you could tell played absolutely zero games sitting on the corner waiting for cars to come speeding by and he’d do the handoff
When Johnny got knocked , the slow down of the supply put a serious dent in our lifestyles..
Used to go down a few spots on amsterdam during late and early 2000s. Damn time flew
Killer Episode my guy!
I listened to this on spotify while I was at work but the video makes it way more dope
He is not lying I’m always at that spot 💯
