Alison was definitely one of my favorite characteres in the series. Iliked the fact that she went through so many different personalities throughout the years. It made the show even more interesting. She first was the nice naive girl , then became naughty (Keith, Steve and so on.) Became badly ambitious still competing with Amanda although she couldn't stand a chance in that field. Had a drinking problem , she 's a part of Melrose's success and i liked her a lot 💖She was everything but not boring like Sam ( Billie's second wife) or Rhonda and Sandy to name of few.

Allison was NEVER going to be Amanda
The writers were clueless with Alison. They were trying to make her the star of the show but kept writing her so unpleasantly like this scene. Credit to Courtney Thorne smith who figured a way to
Evolve the character better as the show went on.
Alison was constantly out of her element. She was a Midwest woman trying to fit into a sharp LA scene.
Alison was a terrible boss.
Jo had an edge. Alison is insufferably selfish
Alison is really annoying here, who does she think she is dictating about who Jo can and cant see when her drink problems caused huge problems in her own career. And i see her habit of working long hours can be traced back to the early seasons. I estimate its about 6am here and shes about to hit the road to reach the office for another long day..work smarter Alison not harder!
Alison was acting like a foolish childish school girl in this scene.
There was NOT enough time for the coffee to be brewed before that conversation was over, but anyway.
