Liam! Don't go on here much but just stopping by to say thanks! Your video helped me replace the fuel filter on 701 Enduro last year, now picked up a '22 WR250F this year as well and couldn't find the throttle stop on the install instructions for the GYTR ECU install. Good on ya. Cheers!
Great info Liam I am planning to buy the same model WR this year This has been the most informative video on a WR I’ve seen yet. And I searched plenty I will certainly be taking on board many of your mod’s Thanks heap’s
Hey there Liam Watched all your stuff on the WR a few months ago and currently awaiting my new 2025 bike. I’m an older short guy from the Riverland area and would love to get in touch with you about a few things if possible.Mainly how you got on with your mapping and other general discussion about the bike. Regards Brett.
Excellent Video Liam. Thanks for posting. I use the gauze spark arrestor in my FMF. It doesn't make any real noticable difference to the exhaust note but does give you a bit of peace of mind. Whether or not it actually works after un-corking the bike is debatable but I havnt seen flames shooting out of the exhaust like a Barratt I had without one.
Awesome video! I just picked up a 2020 WR250F and holy crap is the throttle snappy. Did you find this as well? I have done all the uncorking you have, except new muffler, and it is still super "touchy" to ride and a bear on slow, tight trails. Stall machine....
Thats why people make all the different maps for the map changer so you could have one for really fast and one for more trails. I don’t own one yet so I wouldn’t really know but thats what I have seen
Had the same issues with my 2023 model.Put a throttle tamer on to help with the touchy issue and then a Rekluse 4.0 which turned it into the bike i wanted.Went from stalling and/or flame outs constantly on the single tracks to,um,how often now?Never. But $2500.Ouch!!!
That videos funny cuz I just bought 2021 yz250fx and I'm trying to make it road legal I got to put all those lights on it and switches thinking maybe I should have bought the wor
Yes, I installed the Yamaha hard hitting and smooth maps from the Yamaha Australia website. I'll test them both using the handle bar map switch. I still haven't ridden it yet as the weather is still too hot here.
Great video and very helpful for a new WR buyer
Great VID Liam- thanks for putting it together. Great reference.

Great video... but at 9.55min you need to remove a plastic spacer from the oem exhaust and fit it on the fmf

Have you changed the standard maps?
Yes, I installed the Yamaha hard hitting and smooth maps from the Yamaha Australia website. I'll test them both using the handle bar map switch. I still haven't ridden it yet as the weather is still too hot here.
