Is it still possible to get tickets now in 2021? My old man said back in the day you couldn’t find a ticket for sale. It saddens me that NASCARs popularity is declining
My father in law got me into nascar by asking me to go with him in his RV to Talladega in 1997. Although I went just to spend some quality time with an amazing man, I ended up becoming a huge fan. After that trip, we would go to 3 or 4 races every year and I had the time of my life. We only attended one Bristol race and it just so happened to be the race where Sr. Wrecked T. Labonte on the last lap for the win in 1999. Right or wrong, it was fun to watch. My Father in law passed away a few months ago and I miss him a lot. Thank you Pop for being like a 2nd dad to me. May you rest in piece.
The most memorable Bristol race for me was the 2010 Xfinity series night race. Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski battling each other, and Kasey Kahne getting squeezed onto 2 wheels and riding on top of the outside wall.
The good old days. 36 degrees. Bottom is fast way around. No traction compound. No stage racing. One entrance to pit road. $500.00 a seat and the stands were full. Tonight the stands will be empty, no one watching at home, sucks.

We would drive 4 and 1/2 hours to Bristol, and on race night we get our tickets from scalpers. They would want a fortune for them at first, as it got closer to race time they were drop their prices. Great times.

I became a NASCAR fan in 2002. My dad had liked Jeff Gordon for several years prior so naturally I became a Gordon fan too. That 2002 night Bristol race was fantastic. There was so much drama and action. Plus, Jeff ended a 31 race winless streak. It's one of his wins that really stand out. Rusty and his fans would probably like to forget this night and the 1997 Food City 500.

I have to tell a confession, not even sure what race it was but either way it was 8 or 9 yrs ago I went to my first and only Bristol race (night) race at that and had at least one more than I should have and slept sitting in my seat through the whole race. Funny part is my buddy did the Same thing. We couldn't wait to go and we both snoozed the entire race. There's several pictures of us that still seem to get brought up every so often. Hell getting old I guess. But hey it was fun regardless
2 things I'll never understand about Bristol, 1. Why is the Night race at Bristol not considered a Crown Jewel Race? It's only one of the most popular races in the history of NASCAR. 2. How has there never been a 1 hour documentary made by Fox Sports or NBC sports made about Bristol Motor Speedway? I know Dave Despain done that one thing about the history of BMS, mainly about the origins, but there should be one made about the complete history of BMS. And if that ever happens have DW narrate.
