- www.OvernightQari.com - learn maqamat for Quran recitation
In this video I recite the first ayah of surah al-Fatir in the main maqamat: bayati, hijaz, nahawand, rast, sika, saba, and ajam. The purpose is to help you get a feel for the different maqamat that you'll hear in Quran recitation. If you're completely new to learning maqamat, try to listen attentively and pay attention to how the different examples sound and feel different from one another. Enjoy!

beautiful recitations, definitely we need more and more of these videos to dispel and destroy the myth that Quran isn't perfectly preserved, that Muslims are under a delusion, that we don't know the glorious book of Allah, subhanAllah! jazakm Allah khairun.

@@patrickbateman4095 Why?

Assalamualykum Qari Idrees, is the Overnight Qari maqamat course still available?
Salam Alaikum
I am from kashmir and we have a classical music based on maqaamat. According to masters of the tradition there are around 45 maqamat with around 20 odd being fundamental. My question is that why have quraa limited themselves to 7 maqamat.
‘Ajam 6:17
Assalaamu alaykum akhi. I know pretty much all the maqams pretty well and can recite in all of them fluently, but my voice is the biggest problem for me. My voice is awful. Do you do 1 on 1 vocal training ?
can you send me an email Idrees at ReciteinTune dot com, thanks
Jazakallah Khair brother
Please guide me on how to study these maqamas
wa iyyakum - check out our courses. The link for our Overnight Qari Course is www.OvernightQari.com - you can join the waitlist
where exactly you learn the knowledge maqamat , Pakistan ??
Can u please teach us All maqam step by step..basic
Very musically - i love it :) !
Can you tel me that in which maqamat do Sheikh Raad Muhammad Al-Kurdi?
Jazakum llah khairan sheikh I enjoyed the recitations I think you left out maqam Kurd
wa iyyakum. So some treat kurd as the last out of 8 main maqams, others see it as 7 main maqams and kurd is a branch or type of fluctuation. There's no right or wrong per se it's just a matter of categorization, but I've always leaned towards the 2nd categorization, which is why when I do examples like these I don't normally include kurd
@@IdreesAllyMaqamat How many maqaams are there, including the branches?
Assalom alaykum va Rohmatullohu va Barokatuh. I really want to learn how to recite like Idrees Abkar. But couldn't compare to your maqomat. As though he recite little bit faster every time. Can you spend some time to listen to him. He is famous on youtube I guess
Maqamaat are like ragas based on musical scales. I have read many fatwaa that reciting Quran in maqaamat in such way that you train your voice on these tones is not permissible unless it comes in naturally - your recitation naturally falls on to one or more of these tones.
Can you send a link for the fatwa
Yoo what happened to kurd
What surah is this?
surah al-Fatir, first few ayat. Surah number 35
Do you teach students privately?
I have a small group coaching program - you read to me, get personalized feedback etc. Can you send me an email? Idrees at ReciteinTune dot com
Why is your Bayati different from Imam Bakeer’s?
do you have a specific example in mind? generally speaking any maqam has multiple patterns and multiple ways of being expressed. Someone could be reciting in the lower area of bayati and that would have a certain sound. And then if someone else was reciting higher in the maqam it might sound different. But once you know how the pieces are connected, you'll see that they're different parts of the same whole. Hope that helps :) but do send me an example if you have one
As Salam u Alaikum
I was just wondering based on your experience which maqam is most sought after by the listener?
Additionally which one is your preferred Maqam, such that if you had to learn just one of it which one would you choose?
wa alaikum assalaam, tough question tbh because everyone's different. You might really like a certain maqam, but someone else likes another. That's the beauty of it. If I could read between the lines - are you asking to figure out which maqam you should learn, if you could only learn one?
Imitated Ayyub Barmi RH in bayat.
Ah this video is sick
