How to contain running bamboo

Hey there! So, I'm a newbie bamboo lover, and I thought I had about 13 out of the 1500 or so varieties and subspecies. Turns out, I only have around 9. Do you think my methods are a bit crazy?

Thank you so much for some great information about bamboo. Sorry to say I didn’t listen and I have bamboo from one into my yard to the other and once you get bamboo in your yard, you can never get rid of it. Thanks so much for sharing.

Great advice. I'm in the process of trying to remove a rampant bamboo that was unrestrained. Very difficult. My new golden bamboo is in a raised trailer box on the patio. Not taking any chances with this one!
