Very important message. I've often heard it said that people blame God for evil things he never did, and refuse to give him proper credit for all the Good he has done. Sometimes it makes your heart hurt for the Lord.

@@TheFIame Absolutely, it’s heartbreaking. And God is still so merciful in both of those scenarios.

God is sovereign over everything. He is all powerful and all-knowing. He is a good God, and He created us for His glory. We live in a fallen world and bad things happen as a result of sin. The good news is that we, who are belivers of Jesus as Lord and savior have heaven to look forward to where there will be no more weeping, no more mourning and no more pain.

Great word again. Thank u. I needed this too.
Also, I would add (about Job) that what God may allow is not the same as His will for us. Those things He allowed Satan to do were not "from/by" Him, but from Satan.

Ummm, firstly, I love your content so, this isn't coming from a place of trying to attack or to undermine how hard it must be to speak on a public platform. It's just a different opinion.
About Job, God didn't remove His protection from him. He told the devil do what you want but don't take His life.
Now God did not engineer the plans that the devil made, but He's all knowing and knew what was going to happen. If we believe that God is all knowing, then He knew.
So God allowed it because in the grand scheme of things, He'd be Glorified, Job's character & faith would be shaped more and the devil was proven wrong actually.
So, yes, it was God's will that he went through challenges. Not that God engineered the evil, He cannot. But He decides if it's worth allowing to happen.
I'll conclude with a quote I've heard before; God won't keep you from anything that will make you more like Jesus.
I, therefore, dont think theres anything wrong with believing that nothing happens outside God's will. It's actually pretty comforting.
Can anything take God by surprise? Is anything, whether past, present or future, outside His control? If no, then whether directly or indirectly, nothing happens without His permission.
I hope this helps to add onto the discussion.

@@KytiaLamour Thank you for hearing me out. Whether we agree or not, I appreciate that.
So, a perfect example to me is Jacob vs Esau. They fought while they were in the womb. And it was prophesied that the last shall be greater than the older.
Does this mean God knew the future? Yes.
Does this mean it was right for Jacob to steal Esau's blessing? No.
Did God let it happen? Yes.
So nothing happens without God's knowledge. In summary, i think this all goes back to God's Sovereignty vs Free Will OR God's Sovereignty vs A fallen world (How can God be in control and such evil still happens?)
A topic commonly debated amongst people. One that I wrestled with in my walk and still wrestle with sometimes. Why does God allow bad to happen? It can really be hard to comprehend it. We can never have all the answers because we aren't all knowing, God is.
Let's not forget the injustice Jesus went through at the cross. God actually allowed it to happen.
But we can trust that if God is good, and He's in control, all shall be well.

So, I've just realised that when you asked for Bible references, you may have been speaking particularly to the Job part.
I think as we read Job, we can see he became more humble. For instance, when God assured him by asking, "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?" (Job 38:4)
God was telling him he actually had no right to question Him. It sounds harsh and I know you said we aren't Job.
I agree that we aren't any of the OT characters. I even used to worry if God would give me a spouse like the one he gave Hosea😂 I told my pastor and he laughed. He explained that to me.
So yes, we will not go through the all the issues OT guys went through.
But for the Job thing, we may not go through losses like he did, but we'll still go through losses. And the devil will never stop trying to steal, kill and destroy. And God will never stop outsmarting the devil😊

      @KytiaLamour  День назад +1

@@angelicagalabuzi1131 I wouldn’t use “bad” in describing that statement, but I also wouldn’t personally use “admirable” either. The Bible says that Job did not sin when he said that, but it never explicitly said he was right or wrong. We should always keep in mind that a wholistic view of scripture is important when quoting a Bible verse and applying it to a situation or testimony in our personal lives. Especially when it pertains to our relationship under a new covenant with Jesus.
