- Stephen A Smith
new York accent
Lmfaoooo 😂😂😂
I 'SAWR' it on t.v. -Stephen A
I always assumed it was a British thing until I heard SAS say it. I even lived in the NY/NJ area for 5 years and never once heard it.
😂😂😂😂😂
Someone get Stephen A. a snickers.
Whos here after watching the Netflix show
🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♂️
Not Aaron.
I want Baez as my lawyer
Me lol
Yeah
*When you realize Aaron Hernandez lawyer who got him off double murder is the same guy who got Casey Anthony off* 😳
Ryuk The Shinigami HA I KNEW I THOUGHT I RECOGNIZED HIM I KNEW THAT CASE WOULD PUT HIM ON THE MAP
+Me Terrapin man stfu you just wanna be relevant with that comment did I say it had anything to do with that? Stop reading between lines that don't exist
Thats a damn good lawyer
Ryuk The Shinigami I realize that's the lawyer I need😳
I Gave You STD 😂😂
CTE didn't put Aaron Hernandez around drug dealing thugs, bad parenting did. Now you have the nerve to sue someone else over your failure. Shocking.
bad parenting? his father passing away made him turn to drugs and gangs, so it was more like dead parenting
cookmania i would never let my kids wander the streets getting caught up in gangs and drugs no matter if my spouse died. Take responsibility instead of making excuses.
5 Rings the dad was dead you ass wipe, it's an entirely different situation if the dad dies vs the mom dying
5 Rings. Yea I'm sure his dead dad was there encouraging to murder people, bad parenting
Andre Bryant lol
Lmao Stephen A gets paid for getting mad about sports and yelling. Me and my niggas do this everyday, we needa get paid too fym 😂
Szn Escobar Difference is Stephen A makes sense and connects dots...u and ya niggas stupid af dumbass
I've been saying it for a while but Stephen A is nothing but a troll that's on TV. Nigga just says controversial shit to spark conversation
Szn Escobar lol every single day
😂😂😂😂
Max looks like he wants to cry every time SAS screams “Murder”... low key felt bad for him.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Baron Gonzalez what’s funny about that you loser?
Baron Gonzalez not supposed to be funny. His brother was murdered
anthony kublawi really? I never knew that. What happened?
@@jahsuo4254 hooligans busted in his apartment and murdered Sam Kellerman in cold blood
I don’t agree with Stephen A for most of his antics. But he’s 💯 right.....
ya i finally agree with him on something. this aron hernadez nonsense is a giant middle finger to legitimate CTE sufferers.
I was gonna look for this type of comment and its the first one, I also agree with stephen A on this one...at the end of the day, no matter what happens, unfortunately it all comes down to money
CTE did not make Hernandez a murderer. But CTE does cause depression, impulsive behavior, memory loss, and cognitive impairment. He played 82 total games between college and the NFL - yet had advanced brain damage. It's a serious disease that the NFL sweeps under the rug so they can keep making money. I don't hold the NFL accountable for Hernandez, but you know the 32 billionaire owners will be the last ones to admit that their sport is harmful to its players. They just want to keep making their money.
No he's 100% wrong he starts put by say saying he isn't diminishing the effects of CTE then proceeds to do just that ..he clearly doesn't know or doesn't care to understand how CTE can effect someone..then goes on to ask Max "hey u cover boxing have u ever heard of...who's committing murder"? Max Kellerman brother was brutally killed by a boxer....I can think of a few NFL players UFC fighters boxers and pro wrestlers that have all commited murder (including military veterans not from cte but still)...brain damage is real
sgtslaughter21 Former nfl player Jovan Belcher Killed his wife and then committed suicide, he had CTE.
People hate on Stephen A but he tells the truth and like they say, the truth hurts.
Arturo Aguirre he lied and made up shit through his entire "argument". he said football and boxers dont commit murder. i guess he doesnt know oj simpson, rae carruth, robert rozier, barrett robbins, ray lewis, leonard little....just to name a few
correction: peaople hate stephan A. but every once in a while hes actually right about something. his truth is often far from the actual truth. i just happen to agree with him on this one argument.
Arturo Aguirre he also makes up shit all the time too. He has no credibilty hes a flip floppin fromt runner
deets987 Yup. Dude gets way too emotional
I like SAS but he be race baiting all the time
I’ve never agreed with Stephan A Smith more in my life.
Thank you Stephen A Smith for that. Exactly what I was thinking!!!
Stephan a smith and his use of the term “unmitigated gall” 😂😂😂 cracks me up every time
Stephen A. kinda fucked up for saying that to Max cause a boxer murdered Max's brother and Max sounded a teency bit hurt
Ryuk The Shinigami - He also forgot that Jovan Belcher committed murder too.
Ryuk The Shinigami no he don't that piece or shit deserves not one ounce of sympathy!!
+BMosesM yeah look up "Max Kellerman brother killed" on RUclips and watch the 2nd video
Ryuk The Shinigami you're ridiculous. Stephen A. said nothing offensive. If Max was hurt, it's because his brother is no longer here becauze of murder, and the subject reminded him of the situation, not because what stephen a said hurt his feelings.
Jacob with the kicks 3:20
Tell em how it is Stephen A
R K - He seems to have forgot about the Kansas City Chiefs player, Jovan Belcher.
CTE CAUSES VIOLENT BEHAVIOR
Copout How many boxers have you seen murder anyone.NONE AND THAT IS ENOUGH SAID....
CTE what a joke sorry I call BULLSHIT
Schelli boyd - Max Kellermans Brother was murdered by a boxer. Are you that stupid?
Eric Thomas that should've been done a long time ago if he knew it lead to destructive behavior. How can you all of a sudden sue the NFL for hernandez having cte when he's been dead for *MONTHS*..... is he speaking to his client from the dead? I can guarantee you this is something hernandez and his lawyer never spoke about. It's a fictional scheme to help his family provide, and also take care of his children.
Amen!! Thank u Stephen A. There have literally been tens of thousands of NFL players in times where rules were far more dangerous, where headshots were encouraged, and only ONE sociopathic killer in NFL history. Have fun in prison where u should be for life.
Didn’t Chris Benoit kill his family because of CTE
Chris Benoit was on steroids it fucked up his head
Anthony Hurth steroids and pain killers. He also suffered like a million and 1 concussions
Metro Hendrix's Benoit definitely had CTE, the guy had a ton of concussions during his career
MarcusTv yup they said he had the brain of like 80 or 90 year old
Metro Hendrix's no because he was a steroid head druggie wack job
2:31 had me ready to tear up. I used to collect his cards as a kid.
This is why I watch Stephen A.every morning 💯
max’s brother was murdered by a boxer
hkane10 wait what??
Acepilot12345 Yup Sam Kellerman
hkane10 had to look that up and it's crazy u can tell that was his mind during this topic
but he hasnt CTE
Daniel Cormier 3:20 he asks max directly has any boxer murdered anyone? then says he doesn't want to hear it as if no one was actually murdered
This guy needs to stop shouting at people. He’s wearing a mic after all.
One of Stephen A’s greatest debates
I felt the same way Stephen A did when I first heard they were suing the Patriots! I was like WHAT!!!! Crazy!
This is the dumbest sports lawsuit ever... He played physical hardcore football In the SEC for years & He did drugs heavy when his dad passed which plays a big role in developing CTE , if they were so "concerned" about his health then why didn't they make him retire back in college? Why'd they wait until now?! Man gtfoh they wont even get a fair trial trying to sue over a deceased murderer.
3:34 this is by far the most insensitive thing I've ever heard Stephen A Smith say. To THE BROTHER OF SAM KELLERMAN. Really dude? That's messed up
Where did he say that??
He did not say that
Well keep in mind Aaron Hernandez had the most advance form of CTE ever found
in someone his age. Who know how this could have been manifested. Also keep in mind who pays Stephen A Smith, ESPN. Who pays
ESPN, the NFL.
ESPN pays the nfl you clown
Ok, they are de facto partners. I should be more specific
wreed18121 actually know. The NFL indirectly pays espn. Espn directly pays the NFL. The espn makes money off of NFL content. The NFL doesn't cut them a check.
wreed18121 um the NFL does not pay espn. At least not directly. It's the exact opposite. ESPN pays the NFL for rights to broadcast MNF.
Didn't you pay any attention to the new TV deal with the NBA? The salary cap went up due to a bigger TV deal in which the networks are paying the nba to broadcast their games.
The networks are then free to make money off of those broadcasts via advertising and merchandising.
ESPN makes money from doing business with the nfl but the nfl doesn't pay ESPN.
wreed18121 THANK YOU!!!
Stephen A is absolutely right
Justin Dufrene many football players have commited murder and violent actions, mant boxers have done the same too
Eric Thomas here's the thing though. How can you blame the NFL when you choose the NFL as your career path knowing he health hazards you can get from playing thy particular sport?
Eric Thomas this had everything to do with the murder. His attorney wants to use CTE as an excuse for the crime that Aaron Hernandez committed and it's blasphemous!
on opposite day
Justin Dufrene you’re stupid
"The New England Patriots? I've been wanting a piece of them for years!"
--Jackie Chiles
Hahahahahaha
Hahaha
People suffering from CTE are very unpredictable.
I didn't realize Stephen A Smith was a neurologist.
I didn't realize someone needed a Ph.D in mathematics to know that 2 + 2 = 4. Stephen A. is stating the obvious. I hope the obvious isn't beyond your comprehension.
Hernandez was a murdering thug, not a victim. Odin Lloyd was the victim (among others). Remember him? Fine human being by all accounts.
Dante Ratto Exactly !!!!
I didn’t realize you were a criminal defense attorney
@@madcapper6 Odin is guilty
3:27 "who's committing murder"? Stephen has officially crossed the line .Time and time this guy flaps his big mouths and spews nonsense that he knows NOTHING about .he literally does this every other day. Max kellermans brother,Sam Kellerman, was a great writer who out of the kindness of his heart lend a helping hand to a Boxer by the name of James Butler. Butler was famously known for sucker punching another Boxer after a match and as a result was kicked out of Boxing and arrested for assault .Following his imprisonment , Sam Kellerman helped by Butler by allowing him to stay at his house for some time so he could get back on his feet. After a couple months,Kellerman asked Butler to kindly start packing, and as a sign of thank-you what does Butler do? Well he decides to brutally MURDR Sam by pulverizing the poor man with a hammer. And to cover up his cowardly act, he decides to burn the house down along with Sam(The same house he was allowed to call his home because of the generosity of Sam).. So for Stephen A to sit there and berate Max and question whether he knows how it feels for him to know someone who's killed someone he knows.YES Stephen A he does. Respect to Max for being able to keep his composure while this idiot was rambling on about something he CLEARLY knows NOTHING about is a true testament to Max's character ,because lord knows I would've let Stephen A get a piece of my mind
The CTE situtation is steering away the topic that he murder another person life. Not cool. Good job S.A.S
Absolutely loved what Stephen A Smith had to say. Awesome clip.
Yean, I think Stephen A. is right! Too many people just want something else to blame instead placing appropriate responsibility where it belongs.
SAS is so wrong for asking Max what boxer is committing murder
Steven A gets louder and louder and LOUDER
Cte didn’t make Hernandez join a gang at 13 and end up killing someone
Apparently the CTE condition didn't interfere with Aaron finding that loophole in the law that would make his family rich, his words, if he killed himself before his appeals went thru.
Preach my brother Steven a
Agree Stephen A Smith 💯
Stephen A asked Max what boxers are committing murder coz of CTE??
But is forgetting Max’s brother was literally murdered by a boxer! 🤦♂️
🤦🏾♂️
Stephen A clearly dosen't understand CTE....
Wait, so you're blaming the NFL and the Pats for Hernandez's CTE even though Hernandez knew the dangers of playing football? LMFAO
It's not a laughing matter btw. The NFL does actually need to look into CTE. Stephen answer was brilliant
Aaron murdered someone. CTE didn’t cause a premeditated cold blooded execution. It wasn’t a spontaneous bar fight.
No mr biazz 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m dead
When i read the article i thought the lawyer was suing the patriots for being negligent about the repetitive head injuries that led to the CTE; not them trying to use the CTE to excuse the murder. But then i didn't hear them talk about how he got this at when he was just 23 years old when you usually find it at 60 unless i didn't see that part.
SAS has his days, this is one of them, on point
I AGREE WITH STEPHEN A.
THE NFL OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER SHOULD NOT REWARD THE FAMILY.
It is what it is. Sorry to the wife and children. But you pay for the acts of your husband as well. You don't collect a fat check. Sorry.
Shut up
Jose Baez was considered in the legal community. to be a lousy lawywer, even when he got Casey Anthony off.
A most brilliant rant by Mr. Smith. I don't always agree with him but damn he brought the heat on this one.
Teddy looked so uncomfortable 😂😂😂😂
"Who are these people"
-Stephen A Smith
Jose Baez would’ve gotten Aaron off for that conviction....they had to take him out!
Stephen A I think you missed the point. The argument is that CTE was a factor in the aggravation of the issues within Hernandez. If I'm not mistaken, CTE has been shown to be linked to increased violent behavior in people. That's how I understood the lawsuit.
Brian Glaze every case of violence with CTE was self inflicted. His would be the only case of violence towards other people.
And the lawsuit was filled against the Patriots for not disclosing the issue (which they can't since he would have to be dead in order to know) it had nothing to do with the murder.
SAS was right. The man's balls are very big to think he can win this lawsuit
Aaron Hernandez killed Odin because he allegedly was going to exposed him for being on the down low. Alot of football players are.. That's just facts. Trying connect his aggression to CTE is bullshit. Especially when it was rumored Hernandez was gang affiliated.
Steven Weech thats incorrect, why would you make up something youre clearly clueless on.
R.A. Fiasco you realize thats theres studies that show playing football in high school can give you CTE and cause violent behavior from then on
R.A. Fiasco thats just facts?? yet a sentence later say its "RUMORED". so rumors are fact now??
Sounds like some folks are missing those NFL checks.
Preach brother preach ✌
Nobody rants better than Stephen A.
I can’t stand Stephen A. Smith, but I’ll give him props when he deserves it, he’s 100% correct here
Agree with Stephen A Smith
Max's brother was killed by a boxer
Remember when ESPN was a sports network ?
Timothy Moriarty Amen brother them days long gone...I miss the 80s and 90s crews, shit has gotten all political..gimme sports
Don’t agree with this ... he just seems so mad about the murder and isn’t taking time to understand what this did to his brain no ones saying the murder was right jeez the point is CTE leads to people killing them selves or others this needs to be a bigger discussion on why we encourage young men to play football
To be so ignorant & so loud as Stephen A. Is giving me nightmares
Does he understand that the lawsuit is about the knowledge of CTE the NFL had since the 80's & never share it to prevent players from getting worse.
It's not about the murder case'
Pierre. Rolex1141 nope SAS wouldn't dare to actually look into the story and see that they aren't talking about the murders. He'd rather yell is head off
Pierre. Rolex1141 get out of here all of a sudden ctz is the cause of everything when we just want to stop football
Lavern Merriweather
Mr. Lavern. I'm a psychologist who's on his last year of law school 😂.
I understand human behavior & the law"
His family probably believes that personally that but that's not what their suit against the NFL was about. Why is this so hard to understand?
Agreed! He would have committed the murder if he DIDN'T have CTE.
Hernandez fanily and those lawyers are trash; but no puncher alive or dead can match the velocity of a car crash. That happens every Sunday.
RIP NFL
aged poorly
What are you talkin about
L
Truth Talk Ish SAS💯💯💯
Thank you Stephen A. It's tragic and frustrating this false narrative. This guy was a thug most of his semi-adult and adult life and was convicted of one and alleged in 3 other homicides. He was a murderer. May his family rise above that legacy.
sr dargo it's not a false narrative. At least not yet. The narrative is still bring written.
He was only in the NFL three seasons and had CTE worse than most players get after playing a full career. Which means he could've developed at a much younger age than normal if he was hiding concussion symptoms from his high school and college coaches.
ThePrufessa If it was not based on a report the attorney representing the family who is suing the NFL petitioned I may give more of a sympathetic ear. I think u may be giving too much credence to a report that may not be 100% fair or accurate.
These concussion-related tragedies really do need to stop.
CTE is not an excuse for murder Stephen A is correct. It's a shame the Hernandez family is trying to sue the NFL and NCAA. Why stop there tho sue his high school and little league football team too!
Eric Webb Jr Fuckem all
Cant disagree with SAS this honestly seems like a money grab for the hernadez fam.
Finally this man says some I agree w!
As long as this hurts the NFL, ill support it 100%
NFL players shouldn't be allowed to sue over cte. They know exactly what the risks are. When you get two huge men running into one another over and over what do you think is gonna happen.
alex lara you're missing the point you have doctors and physicians who have lied to players and organizations about concussions and head trama results clearing them to continue to play. It has nothing to do with knowing the risks, it's about being protected by licensed professionals
alex lara you have no knowledge
I've never played football in my life but I never in my life had to have someone tell me that getting hit in the head is bad for you. That just seemed like common sense
Woosh! Way to miss the point. When doctors clear you to play, when you're not healthy, you've got a major issue.
alex lara you lost me at "never played football" nothing you say holds weight
That got awakward when Stephen A asked Max " who in boxing is committing murder", when Max's own Brother was killed by a Boxer.
If Steven A dies of a heart attack I don't want his family to sue ESPN.
Jd Cisneros what is wrong with you
PREACH MY BROTHER 100%
Stephan A keeps it real
Shark Watch Cris Carter's interview from today
Shark yeah REAL STUPID
Stephen*
Real loud and ignorant
Straight money move ....
Mike V yep
And? The NFL tried to silence people about the dangers of CTE for years. If that is not a good reason to sue them then what is?
Steven A. You are 100% right.
He isn't right. First, didn't know he has a medical degree. Second, didn't know he ever played a contact sport. Third, how many former collegiate and professional athletes that have played these sports has become violent at home with domestic violence cases toward wives, gf and their kids. Now I do agree just because you can play a sport at that level doesn't make you a good person. If you grew up a thug, you are still a thug just now you have money. I love Steven but do not say CTE didn't play a cause in this case. We don't know.
He’s right. CTE is absolutely NO excuse for Hernandez’s MURDERS.
Who here after the documentary?
Kush Yagnik me lol, I think he was ruined from childhood after his mother basically abandoned him after his dad died
First degree murder = willfull premeditated killing with malicious intent. With all due respect I dont believe the other CTE victims who comitted murder/suicides would have fallen in the same category.
Cassandra Stewart chris benoit
He forgot about OJ Simpson LMFAO
Didn't Jovan Belcher committ MURDER before Aaron Hernandez ? What the fuck are you talking about Stephen A.
Belcher was never diagnosed with CTE
Jimmy Bonez Ok only 2 people out of the millions that played football. What's your point.
Jimmy Bonez rae carruth too
chris dula did they ever test him for it?
M D millions?? wtf are you talking about millions? its thousands and theres been more than 2, plus add in all the assault, abuse and suicides too
Good for you Mr.Smith. glad you said it
I understand the rage but in all fairness if you are not a medical doctor you are not qualified to say how it could change one's behavior. it comes down to brain after all.
Why aren't the other football players with CTE committing murder then?
bambam hes pointing out that his behavious was already in the gutter before he got to the NFL... plus wheres all the other retired NFL murderers
So players who commit murder should blame the nfl? Wtf?
Didn’t Chris Benoit kill his family ?
Shahzeb Nasir there has been a decent amount of cases of it. murder and suicide and a ton of assault and abuse charges too
Proud of Stephen A..Got It Right This Time!!!!!
The Kansas City chief player killed his gf and himself
Deuante Kelly but since he was black Stephen A ain't gna say shit.. he's a fkn racist bitch
Jd Cisneros
How is Stephen A. Smith racist for telling the truth about the hypocrisy of this CTE nonsense involving Aaron Hernandez? Because he didn't mention Jovan Belcher's incident that makes him a racist? There's no excuse for EITHER murder to go down, but A.H's situation was more high profile, but like I said neither situation was commendable.
never thought id say this but.... stephen A makes a good point
For maybe the second time in history, I 1000 percent agree with everything Stephan A said.....
It's one of the rarest things in my life too....
Ackward now that a high school kid has been diagnosed with CTE
No, Mr. BIAZ! 😂😂😂😂
The guy is acting like he wouldn’t sue the shit out of a billion dollar corporation if he was in that family’s shoes.. Please.
Steven A. 1000% correct, thank you!!!!!
John Borbon except all the "facts" he used to support his claim....its ok to love football, but to lie and make up facts is retarded. theres been alot of NFL players alone that have murdered people. oj simpson, javon belcher, rae carruth, ray lewis, robert rozier, lawerence phillips just to name a few
About what? The Hernandez family aren't suing the NFL for the murders, they are suing for not telling Aaron he had cte and continuing to let him play despite knowing it.
Brian Tan oj was found not guilty of that
So many people are completely missing the point. Yes Aaron Hernandez was guilty of murder but that doesn't mean his family doesn't have a right to sue the NFL over the head injuries he sustained while playing in the league. These things are just not mutually exclusive. It doesn't matter whether the family believes the CTE was the cause of the murder or not... they're not suing the NFL over head injuries being the cause of the murder, the suit is the exact same as most other CTE suits, that the NFL withheld facts and did not educate a former player over the dangers of common head injuries while playing football, which they are 100% guilty of doing. Personally I do not believe that the NFL deserves to be off the hook for essentially committing a crime against someone, just because that person happened to become a criminal himself later on down the line.
Q: Was it CTE that drove Hernandez, an already troubled man with a screwed up past, to murder, and to commit suicide? How much of a factor did this disease play in his behavior?
A: At present, with how little the medical community knows about this disease, we just don't know.
And in this particular case, we may never know. So Stephen A. can rant, and the rest of us can speculate. But in the face of the unknown, it all means nothing.
Keith Bell you are right. We just only spectating opinions than facts. At the end, taking someone life is zero tolerance anyway.
True but a he still committed murder and that was his choice not cte..if so then we might as well excuse nfl players from murder.
Finally Stephan A says something that makes sense!
Arron Hernandez is a victim! and I'm gonna be the starting center for the Boston Celtics this October...
BooBooJonez Good because their front court sucks😂
I'm buying your jersey
Yup, it's number 69
BooBooJonez if your 7 foot you could actually start for the Celtics lol
Just rebound the ball please!!!!
Stephan a smith is so clueless on what cte does to you
So are they gonna test all murders for CTE now, whether they're not even ex football players or boxers? Stephen A couldn't be more right.
Steven A is so wrong it's pathetic. I would suggest that only a doctor of some sort, perhaps a Psychologist or Psychiatrist is better suited to provide a clear explanation for AH actions.
That pedestal you're on I pray it never breaks Steven A.
Molly please, just please, don't open your mouth...
Right i roll my eyes every time she puts her stupid two cents in.
Tell that to your stupid self.
3:28 ... I know SAS was passionately arguing his point but this was so insensitive to Max...
His case should get thrown out. CTE & his sentencing has no correlation. This guy was a grade A piece of shit & his suicide isnt worth the breathe we take. Good riddance, there should be no sorrow for a murderer!
Everybody makes mistakes
littlelosito Even Jesus forgives be more like him
MoneyKilla 89 yea i do forgive but no when it invovles murder(s)
Adrian Villafuerte sure i am bcuz im saying murder is bad
You're right.... that's why the lawsuit isn't over Hernandez's sentencing? The Hernandez family is suing the NFL over withholding information about CTE from a former player, which the NFL is 100% guilty of as we all know. ESPN is trying to turn this into his family trying to prove his innocence, but that's not what the suit was about.
