Awesome vid!! A little DIY can save a lot of $$!! Read through some of the comments, and I'm gonna add that most electronics over the last 15-20 years could be considered "throw away" items - use for a couple years and they're done/old/outdated. With the advent of smaller and smaller technologies, the longevity is potentially shorter. Example: the battery in these are soldered, if you drop your case, or even an individual bud, and that solder wasn't super secure to begin with, and that connection is broken, well, now you have an inoperative earbud and you feel like you've wasted $250 and you're now upset with the manufacturer. Their job is to make $$. Now, as long as people keep spending $$ on their product, they'll continue to grow. Companies would have to restructure themselves, and/or their pricing if no one bought their product. Think about it... With that being said Joe's, I've watched the vid, and it's tough to tell in the video, and I've checked both links to the replacement battery in the description and in the comments, my question is, the link in the comments only showed a round battery, the link in the comments shows two wires attached. It makes sense that the one with two wires is more applicable, as it gets soldered. Will any CP1454 A3 work? Much appreciated.

Wow, excellent video and I will say the BEST (I watched many). The important details were left out by all the rest!. I did get a chuckle when you started off with the tools that I would need then later you introduced a Heat Gun with a specialized reducer attachment and also the soldering iron. lol. I wonder if heating up a small flat head screw driver to soften the glue for removal would work (I do not have a Heat gun and my buddy Joe did not list it in the tools/parts links 😉) I have two bad sets (bought a 3rd set for Black Friday, $149 new Black pair; yes I know, Costco had a blue pair w/ a pinkish logo for $139) and will completely refurbished them both for Christmas gifts. Hey joe, my left ear bud all of a suddent just stoped working and connecting to anything. I know its not the case because I put another pair of beats in to charge and it works.
So am i to believe that my left ear bud battery is just dead? Or whats the case in your opinion?

Do you guys provide battery replacement for this ?
Absolutely 👍🏻 www.joesge.com/products/beats-by-dre-powerbeats-pro-earphones-battery-replacement-new-parts?_pos=6&_sid=6c5941676&_ss=r&variant=40994059714606
Where do I get the batteries from please?

So I Ordered one battery per ear set, one left and one right, does that sound correct?
Then I was looking at how you have the original, I would have rather done the original since I like longevity, but I guess I should still be ok since you didn’t say the generic ones wasn’t ok, so I’ll go with it then !!
Right bud of mine started dying after 2 years. Thanks for video

Thanks for this video. I did this the other day. I did the right ear headphone, but am unsure if I have the wires correct (could be bad battery or my crummy soldering abilities). Any guidance anyone?

which battery did you get? and where from?
Does anyone know what Apple is charging people to replace the batteries?
Im not sure if Apple is doing this service.
@@Joesge If not that would truly be a shock. With their dislike of right to repair I would think they would engineer as many of their devices possible to fuel new sales and servicing revenue streams.
Thank you so much brother

I butchered mine. found out it had work done prior to me trying. Bought them as new, hmm. Anyway, do you have a right powerbeats pro for sale?
We unfortunately do not
both my power beats go off at %55 percent but once i putem back in the case they connect and say %97 again ,,, wack after 2 years..
Sounds like a bad battery
Only my left earpiece is showing up as fully charged, and the right side is not listed. I made sure to place them correctly in the case to charge but every time I check the right side just doesn’t show up. I checked online to see what I can do and it says I can reset. No matter how many times I do it, The case only lets me pair. Do I need a new case ? Or would I have to get a replacement earpiece? 😣 thank you!
I got the exactly same issue as yours but its the left side that is not working, did you found a way to fix it 🥲I only bought it for 2 month
How much will you charge me to replace the batteries of my 3 pairs of power beats?
Hello, unfortunately, we do not repair this device anymore. We do sell the parts at www.joesge.com though. - Aaron P
Brandnew, just got it out from the box and the left earphone is not working! It is showing that it is at 100% then it just drops to 0% in an instant. I hope that I will be able to get a replacement.
Have you tried a reset.
Surprised no one is selling replacement side plates so it won’t matter if you damage them.
What model of battery is needed it?

These should have been recalled by Apple for all the problems they have
No kidding
Agreed. They’re far too expensive to have to go through this madness lol.
If it’s the right headphone battery being replaced is the Red on Top and the green in the bottom ?
Red is on top on the right
Right and left has different ? I mean red is on the top on right side and red is bottom on the left
Hi mate, how much is the cost for repairing these pair? I have the problem as per those comments below. I wanna send them for repair and I based at Malaysia???

is this under warranty??
You can check on the Apple website
does anyone know if replacing the battery will fix the issue of the headphones disconnecting at 55%?

I don’t have most of these tools available. It would cost me more to get them then to just buy a new pair of Powerbeats at this point
Are you serious? I doubt that it would cost you more. But I can understand if you don‘t want to work on it. It‘s quiet difficult to remove the cover.
Honestly I'd rather just buy new ones
:)

I'm surprised apple used glue for the battery terminals instead of just sautering it to the board.
Apple is full of surprises
