Start of the video: "Awww... is there anything cuter than Cecil? I doubt it." End of video: "Craig's baby! I was wrong. THIS is the cutest thing ever!"
This episode of WTTB made me feel a little bad for Mark Hamill. You know he was probably trying so hard to establish himself as an actor outside of Star Wars, while dealing with the aftermath of his accident and plastic surgery. But, of course, most of your riffs in this movie related back to SW. Totally understandably. You just said what we are all thinking! It just made me realize the uphill battle he faced after taking on the role of Luke Skywalker and how it determined the trajectory of his life and career. I'm sure he is absolutely FINE and isn't crying himself to sleep at night. This just gave me a little perspective that I didn't have before. So, thanks?
Yeah, it sucks that he never really broke out of the Star Wars shell, but he did establish himself as the one true voice of the Joker so at least he had that going for him as well.
The way I think about it is, he has always been in work. His IMDB page lists 342 acting credits. He and Carrie fisher never bacame A-list stars like Harrison Ford, but they both did miles, miles, better than the vast majority of people who take up acting as a profession.
Babs388 i prefer when someone says a word in the wrong context and I can say "You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
I enjoyed the musical and the movie Grease. A lot of years ago, the Australian production of Grease was in Tokyo doing shows. Anyway, one night I was in my favorite dive bar in Tokyo and a bunch of the cast and production crew showed up. That little bar was great as all drinks were JPY500 (about USD 5) and if you wanted to sing a song from their extensive Karaoke library (maybe over 2,000 songs in English, Japanese, Chinese etc) you paid JPY100 (about USD 1) to the bartender. She would input your selection and when your song came up, the mic would make its way to you and you sang where you stood. Perfect for stage shy folks like me. Anyway, the cast sang a bunch of songs, were very friendly and it was really a good night. Maybe the Jack and Coke was pushing me but I sang I Just Want to Make Love to You by Foghat. The make-up artist didn't fall for it. hahaha. You always gotta try.
I've never been fond of babies, so I'm surprising even myself when I say damn, Lorenzo is one cute baby! Not as cute as Cecil, but then, no one is. ;-) Seriously, though, Craig, congratulations!
Mark Hamill is easily one of my favorite actors. I don't know if you guys ever watched the old Flash show from the 90s (it's pretty bad), but Mark Hamill plays a villain named The Trickster. It's basically like watching his Joker in live action, and you can tell that's where he got the idea from. Mark Hamill actually returns in the new Flash show to play The Trickster, and he's just as captivating as ever.
We have a little tiny black cat around the same age as Cecil, and she is a handful herself. She likes to perch atop my arm and look outside, so I nicknamed her Batman. She is smart enough to be able to open my bedroom door, and she is a freakin' ninja when it comes to stealing food. Well ..she thinks she is. I had never seen a cat hauling ass downstairs with a whole pork chop before Misty... yeesh! Also, baby!!!
Even Bill Murray hated the new Ghostbusters. Look at his cameo. It has nothing to do with female leads. RedLetterMedia got it right. Yours is still the best show on RUclips. KISSES!
Oh Craig, your baby is the cutest little bubba! You are very lucky, congratulations to you! Loved this episode as well, thanks guys. I think I need to give this movie a whirl.
The tragedy of Ghostbusters is that the core ensemble was great. You mention the script being poor, but I would argue the biggest problem is with the direction. Even being extremely generous Paul Feig is a journeyman director, without any kind of visual flair or imagination. You know who they should have given the job to? Edgar Wright
I'm with you on Man Who Wasn't There. It was modeled on sharp, snappy American film noirs (films noir?) but pretty much every scene dragged on too long.
have you guys ever SEEN "The Peanut Butter Solution"? It's a 1985-old Canadian family film with a plot straight out of an old grade-school paperback novel--completely bananas and haunting. My sister and I rented it in the early 90's and forgot about it for years...until we did and couldn't believe our memories. NOR WILL YOU!
Hey, Matt and Craig! Love the show. I was wondering if you've seen the Terrence Malick film "To the Wonder." I'm a huge Malick fan and love each and every film, but this one has just spoken to me on a deeper level than the rest. It's a personal connection to why this is so highly regarded by me. Thanks for many great years of this show!
You guys should watch Comic Book: The Movie directed and staring Mark Hamill. It's a mockumentary that was made back in the early 2000s about comic book adaptation films that holds WAY more relevance today than it did back then.
You are the new Siskel and Ebert. Oh, and I saw "Corvette Summer" in a theater when it was released. The same goes for "Grease," and yes I will admit it, "Grease 2." 'Cuz I went to the movies 3 or 4 times each week back then. Drive-Ins were great because you usually got a triple-feature for one low price. One triple bill that I attended was "The Cat from Outer Space," "Alien," and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Have you seen "The Cat from Outer Space"? Made by Disney, but I have it on VHS from Anchor Bay. Anything with Annie Potts in the cast, by-the-way, is worth watching. Annie Potts is NOT in "The Cat from Outer Space." I just wanted to make that clear.
Have you guys seen F for Fake? I haven't, but was very recently intrigued by its trailer and immediately thought: Them basement fellas should watch this!!
Of Grease: It's assumed Danny meets Sandy half way per her demands at the end "You're the One That I Want", "You better shape up, 'cuz I need a man.. You better prove that my faith is justified." She makes the first step, but the choice is an ultimatum: she'll doll-up if he shows her his true feelings and proper affection. Check it out. Saw it in the theater when it came out. Never noticed the jaunty jingle's demands and compromise intent until about 2007!
Hey I heard sci fi July is coming soon. Have you guys seen A Boy and His Dog starring Don Johnson? It was written by a true genre legend Harlan Ellison. Definitely my favourite 70's low budget Sci-Fi movie.
I did the same thing except I trucked around Manitoba looking for a beat up 2005 civic with a native hooker. This movie is pretty close to my experience
I watched this movie in preparation for this video, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. But the character of Mr. McGrath really bothered me, I never really saw what he did to Kenny as that bad of a thing. In a way I could sympathize with the character, but I wan't sure why McGrath never left the school and went into making cars for himself? Or got a job working for Wayne Lowry. I mean doesn't he have talent to build cars if he can teach this as a subject to students? Annie Potts was also in a car accident prior to filming, which is funny when Kenny at the end yells "Hey you with the funny walk", she had pins in her leg.
I remember seeing this movie on TV when I was just a young kid, somehow! Greatly inappropriate. Thanks to busy parents! I really loved this movie! #HamillHamster
I somehow never watched Grease until I saw the musical in college and while it was a fantastic production, I remember being horrified at the overall message. I've since seen most of the film and couldn't believe that friends in elementary school had watched the movie and dressed as Pink Ladies because the movie is fairly raunchy. I, personally, am not a huge fan but I get why people like it so much.
Cecil is as Cecil does. Craig can't share his Three Musketeers; they're all for one (him). 4:15 R2! Shut down all the garbage mashers on the detention level! Now we have to have a prequel in which Luke puts together a beautiful Skyhopper with Biggs and Fixer which gets stolen and he has to go to Mos Eisley to search for it. What happens in Eisley, stays in Eisley. (Mos Vegas?) Bell curve- first thing that jumped to my mind also. There's no way they made that car from that car. Slow Rider! 8:34 "Wrong." 8:54 A new hope. 10:20 or 'Dude, Where's My Car?" 14:08 Awrrrrr! (Chewbacca) Sweet Lorenzo, dressed as an Ewok!
You guys should play 5 degrees of bacon, like in Family Guy. Basically, you start with a random movie, and then by using shared actors/actresses/directors/etc jump from movie to movie until you end at a Kevin Bacon movie in 5 moves or less.
Yeah I partially agree with Craig, Grease is an anti-love story, the plot itself reveals John Travolta capable to love her only if she becomes anything but the person she is. and don't let me start about that bullshit flying car ending! owwww Lorenzo is looking adorable ;)
have you ever seen the movie Primer(2004)? its low budget scifi done right, veerrrryyy complex though and one of those movie you either have to watch 4 times or watch a plot description to fully understand.
Lorenzo! Also the end of Grease leaves just too bad of taste in my mouth. A greasy one, if you will. Totally ruins what otherwise is a perfectly fun yet self-aware romp.
A handfull of trolls attacked Ghostbusters. Sony used that as free publicity and basically said "if you don't like this, you are sexist." The problem I had is that they made it a reboot instead of a sequel. If you're rebooting something it will either be better than the original or people will hate it. There was no way for them to succeed. They had access the original cast and wasted them. The plot should have been simple. "Ghosts have returned and we're too old and/or the y chromosome amplifies it's energy. We need to assemble a new female team"
I am still working my way through the Welcome to the Basement Episodes, but I have to ask: Have you seen Fritz Lang's M? It stars Peter Lorre in possibly his greatest performance and I don't think that it is talked about enough and I want you guys' impression.
I just googled for this episode and noticed that "muddywishka2point0" has uploaded a 38 minute long version of the "You Only Live Twice" episode under this name. Plus some other BlameSociety stuff. Weird.
Lorenzo is so cute!!! I was genuinely startled when Craig brought him into frame though lol
Start of the video: "Awww... is there anything cuter than Cecil? I doubt it."
End of video: "Craig's baby! I was wrong. THIS is the cutest thing ever!"
Five centuries and a movie!

INCONCEIVABLE!! no one ever says this unless they say it like Vizzini in Princess Bride :)
Babs388
i prefer when someone says a word in the wrong context and I can say "You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
That surprise guest at the end really did touch my heart. Beautiful!!!
I enjoyed the musical and the movie Grease.

Seeing Dick Miller is always a joy!
WWWOOOOWWW What a cutie!! Congrats again Craig!
That was an excellent blue velvet reference, Matt. Also, BABY!
I've never been fond of babies, so I'm surprising even myself when I say damn, Lorenzo is one cute baby!
Not as cute as Cecil, but then, no one is. ;-)
Seriously, though, Craig, congratulations!
Love the Lorenzo cameo! What a cutie 😃 another great episode 👍🏻
23:45 Finally. Someone with more charisma than Ernesto.
pcwkid76 Agreed! He's friggin' gorgeous!
I rarely, if ever, coo over babies, but man oh man was that a cute little baby. I literally felt my heart leap when I saw him
I loved this movie growing up that car was the shit in 83. You could see it live at World of Wheels and other hot rod shows. Still would rock it.
I think this is the first movie I've seen that Matt hasn't seen and boy is it a good one
Another very fun episode! love it!
Lorenzo!!! I was just about to ask you guys if he could make a cameo!
Craig's summary was fantastic. FUNNY.
"Everybody loves Grease" Not me,I hate it
I screamed when Lorenzo came on screen!! He's such a cute baby!!
Mark Hamill is easily one of my favorite actors.

A baby that is quiet and adorable!!!
I love this movie for many reasons and was glad to see you enjoyed it. Also, you guys are pretty funny.
Even Bill Murray hated the new Ghostbusters. Look at his cameo. It has nothing to do with female leads. RedLetterMedia got it right. Yours is still the best show on RUclips. KISSES!
I died when Lorenzo popped up XD love it
"Got a light?" is a new phrase that will never be the same ever again.
Oh Craig, your baby is the cutest little bubba! You are very lucky, congratulations to you!
Loved this episode as well, thanks guys. I think I need to give this movie a whirl.
There would be no way they could restore that corvette in a cost effective manner.
Mr. McGrath was the "Breaking Bad" teacher of GTA '70s style
Love this movie haven't seen it since I was like 10. Great review guys.
My 10 year old self would have fallen in love with that abomination of a car
The talk of Cecil in the intro reminds me of the Unboxing episode in which he steals a macaroon. Did he use speed or cunning during that heist?
Both. He waited until we were distracted and then struck like lightning.
How many hugs did you give him as punishment?
I'm guilty of, quite often, saying "You be Beethoven............... I'll be Bach"
D'aww Lorenzo, so cute! Haha, at the end, the *zip* 'waaang' noise, my brothers and I do that, sometimes as a joke, but ours is "*zip* *kerplonk*"
Saw Corvette Summer at the theater!! Tanforan 4!!
I'd buy that for a dollar!
24:15 heart melted :) his eyes straight on daddy!
I'm with you on Man Who Wasn't There. It was modeled on sharp, snappy American film noirs (films noir?) but pretty much every scene dragged on too long.
1:45 Harriet Wheeler impression? God I love this show
How did I miss this episode? Damn you RUclips!
The couch test is no joke.... you better bring your A game.
Haven’t seen Terminator but know the quotes!
have you guys ever SEEN "The Peanut Butter Solution"? It's a 1985-old Canadian family film with a plot straight out of an old grade-school paperback novel--completely bananas and haunting. Good, Goood call on the bear onesie!

Surprised you didn't make a "wretched hive of scum and villainy" joke about Las Vegas.
My second favorite hamill movie
Have you guys seen F for Fake? I haven't, but was very recently intrigued by its trailer and immediately thought:
Them basement fellas should watch this!!
There should of been a counter for how many Star Wars references there was in this episode :P
Of Grease: It's assumed Danny meets Sandy half way per her demands at the end "You're the One That I Want", "You better shape up, 'cuz I need a man.. You better prove that my faith is justified." Craig, your baby is adorable! And Matt, your fur babies are adorable too! By the way, any Seen It thoughts about O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Hey I heard sci fi July is coming soon. Have you guys seen A Boy and His Dog starring Don Johnson? It was written by a true genre legend Harlan Ellison. Definitely my favourite 70's low budget Sci-Fi movie.

Craig's right - Lorenzo does have a natural expression of concern.
there is a very good swedish movie called Första Divisionen it came out in 1941 and is about swedish air force pilots. really recomend it
What's with the mustard shirt?
J/K, you guys are marvelous.
I get it
I remember seeing this movie on TV when I was just a young kid, somehow! Greatly inappropriate. Thanks to busy parents! I really loved this movie! #HamillHamster
Tartuffe reference! Hell Yeah!
"Wait-resses"
You should hear him talk about fort-resses...
I somehow never watched Grease until I saw the musical in college and while it was a fantastic production, I remember being horrified at the overall message. I've since seen most of the film and couldn't believe that friends in elementary school had watched the movie and dressed as Pink Ladies because the movie is fairly raunchy. two lane black top!
Cecil is as Cecil does.

10:20 or 'Dude, Where's My Car?"
14:08 Awrrrrr! (Chewbacca)
Sweet Lorenzo, dressed as an Ewok!
Always wondered why the corvette's steering wheel is on the other side. Keeps me up at night.
Mark Hamil really aged into his face
As a car guy, I found the titular Corvette to be comically over the top.
It's Bitchin' Camaro
I know. Listen to the joke again.
You guys should play 5 degrees of bacon, like in Family Guy. Basically, you start with a random movie, and then by using shared actors/actresses/directors/etc jump from movie to movie until you end at a Kevin Bacon movie in 5 moves or less.
For the next summer movie you should do 'Hot Pursuit' with John Cusack or 'North Shore'.
Lines associated with a movie? Don't forget, "Faster...FASTER!"
LASER BLAST!
That is the guy who finds the Laser Blast and shoots the Star Wars sign!
Summer themed films? Does that mean you'll be watching Summer-ai Cop?
They should talk about the very 70s Jodie Foster flick 'Foxes' it ran on cable and uhf for years afterwards
cute guest!
Looks like Stop Making Sense on vinyl in the back...jealous as fuck
More Cushing for the pushing
6:48 You're Joker is showing Mark
3:50 I could have sworn Matt was telling us to sit in our fucking seats.
Possibility for seen it: Gran Torino. One of my favorite movies and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Yeah I partially agree with Craig, Grease is an anti-love story, the plot itself reveals John Travolta capable to love her only if she becomes anything but the person she is. and don't let me start about that bullshit flying car ending! owwww Lorenzo is looking adorable ;)
Too late for this but Matt really should have given Lorenzo a Baby Cookie dub
have you ever seen the movie Primer(2004)? its low budget scifi done right, veerrrryyy complex though and one of those movie you either have to watch 4 times or watch a plot description to fully understand.

Wow. I've never seen a guy defend the new Ghostbusters movie before.
The guy from Laserblast is in this
The guy from Laserblast was in another movie?!
you guys should watch blood in blood out
1 for 3 on the couch test this time Matt.
I am still working my way through the Welcome to the Basement Episodes, but I have to ask: Have you seen Fritz Lang's M? It stars Peter Lorre in possibly his greatest performance and I don't think that it is talked about enough and I want you guys' impression.
Did Matt pick the Cam'ron jacket for the baby?
Corvette Summer drink
Tequila
Grapefruit
Tonic
Lime
I just googled for this episode and noticed that "muddywishka2point0" has uploaded a 38 minute long version of the "You Only Live Twice" episode under this name. Plus some other BlameSociety stuff. Weird.
I too know the 3 main waitresses names from Mel's Dinner
have you seen Oldboy? and im talking the south korean one, not the american remake, that movie is a great example of a twist you DO NOT see coming
