That broken cable bends and unbends over and over again when the zoom ring is turned during normal use. It is a design defect.

If the lens has no STM or USM, you should only adjust the zoom when the button is switched to manual mode. Never on AF mode.

Sorry i don't know that part name 🙏, that part is not moving flexible, if that part is broken, may be i just repair (modify) that flexible, not replace. I hope it's help.
