My sentiments exactly...There's something about the trumpet (or is it sax) that just adds extreme levels of emotional depth to the melody...reminds me of the breakdown in Shiki no Uta...
I just want to say Nujabes has helped me through a lot of tough moments in my life. His music doesn't just sound amazing but it's healing and at times spiritual. You will always be missed Jun, Rest In Peace my friend!
I feel the same. I always end up listening to his music when i feel Like i can't with my life; his music has something really special that makes you feel safe and close to him
I’ve been going through this same cycle for years. At first, I was obsessed with part 3, then 1, then 4, then 2, then 5 (when it was released, though it felt like a very sad song), then 6. 2, 3, and 4 are probably the ones that I listen to the most currently
I love how the album kinda sounds like the soundtrack to a break-up. The first half is wistful and melancholic like losing someone you love, but the second half is inspiring and full of awe like finally being able to overcome those feelings from before.
That's how you know you're listening to good music. Creativity is divinely feminine in nature. Creativity is driven by emotion. If a track touches you on an emotional level, then the artist has properly used their ability to channel/transmute emotional energy into an arrangement of sounds. The act of arranging the sounds to fit the energy that you would like to have channeled is divinely masculine by nature (the act of doing). The end result is what you hear here, a perfect yin and yang of energy that is pleasant in the physical (to hear), and enticing to the soul (emotional).
When the strings kick in around 9:57, I always feel so emotional; just simple beauty. Simple beauty. And it makes me feel like I've heard it so many times over my life, at my birth, during childhood, and now.
part 4 is my favorite, gets me in my feelings man, i truly love jun's music. A true musician and artist. he's playing his tunes in heaven now 😢 ...Rest in Beats...
Trying to find words to describe part 6, this is hard... elevating, musical, modern, transcendant, live/analog-sounding, flowers? Simply incredible that this was found on Nujabes' cell phone and preserved. Makes you wonder how beautiful the music he would have produced would have been, had he stayed with us.
I just wanted to thank you for this video, when you originally released it I found back in 2015 and it change the course of my life. You really helped me out through my roughest time thus far… High school. Because of this compilation you allowed me to discover music that I had never heard before and it really brought me peace during a time when I was really sad. So I really appreciate the fact that you have re-uploaded it thank you so much.
Death is not a hunter unbeknowst to its prey. One is always aware that it lies in wait. Though life is merely a journey to the grave, it must not be undertaken without hope. Only then will a traveler's story live on, treasured by those who bid him farewell
I think Part 3 might be my favourite slightly above the others. Either way, thanks for putting this together :) It's making a hard morning at work far more pleasant
Luv-sic Hexalogy encapsulates the journey of Nujabes, from the start of his journey to his sudden passing. This is not just a song anymore, but a man's love for music, breathing life unto others, sharing his joy with the world, so that one day, we too shall help others in need. Rest In Beats, Seba Jun. Thank you.
It know sir m what you mean. I just remember classical music like Mozart and Beethoven. Either way hop hip originated from disco back in the 70s but thing is hip hop is the the only music that I know of that has changed over the decades. @@alejandro-bw1ol I think this perfectly sums up all contemporary music - there's a lot of it that is amazing, but you just have to look for it, otherwise you'll miss it.
I remember hearing part 4 on an elevator. It wasn't any normal elevator. It had some weird passengers and arrived at some weird floors. No one could ever agree on what someone else's name was. Some of the passengers habitually coughed, checked their watches, and slapped each other. BTW, I'm basically describing the Elevator Source gamemode for Garry's Mod.

I just realized that the way you did this (with the exception of part 3) was by completely remaking the songs. That's insane! You've got talent! Really good work, do you have any of your own beats?
+Karbonic nah, these are all official instrumentals except pt 2 which I did remake but it was pretty easy. I have pt 3 on my channel with the fl studio files and what not, but decided to use the official instrumental here because its a lot cleaner and I know a lot of people had been looking to hear the official one. I wish I could produce well enough to make parts 4, 5, and 6 though (especially 4 and 6).
In my opinion, there are some "vocal" parts that shouldn't have been taken out. Shing's parts sure but not the samples Nujabes used.. Those are part of the music dude
The instrumentals are exactly as they are. I did not extract any vocals from any of the tracks. Otherwise, you'd hear a very annoying white noise/static in every single one of the tracks. The vocals for all of these tracks are amazing. Shing02 is goated specifically for his LS verses, in my opinion. I understand what you mean though. It would be dope to have specific verses mixed into the instrumentals to create partial tracks, but that would leave some of the verses without context.
