Since we r coffee planters i can tell u one thing. U guys pay for coffee powder and not for the chikori in it.. but the factory owner will add 40% of chikori in 1 kg of coffee powder to get more profit. This chikori will make the taste of coffee more stronger.. but its not good for health
Hyderabad should be famous for Irani Tea instead of coffee, just like different flavours of biryani you have different types of coffee so please dont directly put down anybody just like that, its their livelihood and a lot of them are following you vloggers, do not pass negative comment on any one.

The birth place of coffee in India is Chikmagalur. The first seeds were sown about 350 years ago on the slopes of Bababudan Giri hills in Chikmagalur.70% of India's coffee production happens in Karnataka..
In the 16th century a guy called Baba Budan, a Saint from Karnataka discovered coffee for the first time in his life and wanted to grow coffee beans in his home. So he went to Mecca and smuggled 7 coffee seeds that were hidden in his beard and planted them on a hilltop. That hill top is today known as Baba Budangiri hills.
Pure coffee you get in Chikmagalur is different from what you get in Hyderabad. Usually they use 60:40 coffee to chikori ratio. 40% of chikori is not good for health. The coffee you get in Chikmagalur is pure and always pure coffee feels more lighter. I have been to karnool and Anantapur what I noticed was they add large amount of chikori to get strong coffee , I feel you people have adjusted to it.
If you go back to Chikmagalur, stay at Trivik. It’s close to mullayanagiri and it’s an amazing resort. With a coffee plantation inside the resort, you get some amazing coffee!
For people how like black coffee (strong coffee with out milk) won't like normal filter coffee and chikmagalur uses only roasted coffee powder with out chikory
21:19 the small road on the right(while going down towards Chikmagalur) will take you to kemmangundi through jungle and that's a scary and adventurous ride.
For mullayanagiri you should have planned to visit the peak at sunrise time. Karnataka's first sunrise is seen from this peak! And sunrise from this peak looks very very pretty! But welcome to karnataka anna :)

Coffee in coffee shops there are just average. But coffee powder is the best in the world. Please buy coffee powder and make it yourself it will the best. Just ask for coffee powder with about 15% choiry it will be the best taste of coffee. The place is known for its coffee and tea

I'm sorry but the coffee you drink in Starbucks and all those expensive places comes from chikmaglur.. they export the top grade quality coffee to US.. we only get the second or third grade coffee.. trust me.. this was explained to me by a coffee estate owner in chikmaglur
There are tons of more places to have great offroad experience....you have to ride your bike to the top of the peaks but here there are absolute no roads no people for a very very long distance! So it'll be a great experience. :) But damn challenging
