I live alone in Kominka (old house).
I've experienced mountain life at a farm guesthouse in the sky “Hotsumura”.
Misakubo, Tenryu, Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka Pref.

2020年3月末にて、コロナ禍で失業しました。絶望の中、この動画に出会いました。
貴方の、無理のない田舎での暮らしに、共感し、憧れとなり、やがて計画をして都会を出ました。
今は移住先で、ゆっくりと物事を考える事が、出来るようになりました。
毎日、海を見てコーヒーを飲んでいます。これが一番の希望でした。

私の移住先の前には海があり、後ろには山があり、都会から車で1時間半ぐらいの小さな集落です。

私は農家です。
このような田舎の暮らしと農業をなりわいとすることの間の溝に心がささくれる毎日です。
都市と田舎の溝のような理解されない孤独感を感じています。
それは精神的な豊かさと経済的な豊かさの溝のような気がします。
矛盾だらけキレイゴトだらけのなかで孤独感を感じながら一人で耕作放棄地の梅を開墾しながら農業しています。
今は放棄された茶畑や荒れた竹藪に囲まれた梅園ですがいつかまた梅の花が咲く山にしたいと思っています。
気負わず焦らず前に進もうと思います。

なんて贅沢だ。昔はこれが普通の生活だったのに、現代においては憧れの生活。我々日本人は豊かになったようで実は、大切なものをいろいろなくしてしまったようですね。
まだ日本は他の国に比べて辛うじて昔の文化が残っているので私達次第ですね。
便利なことだけ追求したからな。
しかもそれがいつの間にか西洋型に収斂してしまって
日本人の底に流れている魂的なものから逸脱してる。
不自然な便利さで魂が飢えてる感じだ。
こういうのは経験がなくてもみんなが懐かしさを感じる。
間違った方向に進んできた証拠じゃないだろうか。
何だこの不便な生活は。
無駄な時間すごしすぎだろ。
めちゃくちゃいいじゃねぇか。
中々出来ない。ましてや家族がいたら尚更。
過疎化が進む限界集落で暮らすリスクは自分一人なら良いが大切な家族にはリスキー過ぎる。

From your shot sequence, simple subtitles, choice of ASMR scenes without music, and then beautiful composition of shots; the whole time I felt like I was reading a short story by simply watching this video. I used to live in Japan for two years and I exactly know what you mean! I will visit that specific inn as well when I return, hopefully in 2023.

おじいちゃんとおばあちゃんと一緒にいたときは、普通に釜でご飯炊いてたこと思い出しました。栗を拾いに行ったり、よもぎをとっておもちにしたり、、、縁側で日向ぼっこも気持ちよかったなぁ

When I went to Japan, all I experienced in my 3 months vacation was the hi-tech side of Japan. Seeing this video made me realize that the countryside is much more cooler and free. I’ll deffy go back to Japan once this covid stops.
Yes, the Japanese countryside is infinitely more exciting and interesting than cities. I have extensively roamed it. You need to rent a car for the very best way to enjoy it.

I always wonder if dust ever exists in Japan. Like how they keep everything spotlessly clean, it’s insane!
When you see obaa-chan vacuuming the footpath and road outside their building, you realise why haha
Keeping things clean and tidy is like a routine to clear one’s mind. That’s why its so clean
I’ve lived here for 9 hours and your observation is not my experience at all. If anything the opposite. Once you step into a house that is only visited by the occupants, without a camera, honestly, I can’t wait to get out and take a bath. Not always the case obviously but I’ve never seen such dirty houses in my home country, Ever.
I asked myself exactly the same question. Because at my area😕😕😥😥

I was just having a super stressful time, then opened yt and this appeared on my recommended feed. Watched it. Now I feel much more relaxed and an enormous sense of gratitude which I wasn’t expecting. The glorious mountains really make you put things into perspective, and this is only a video, imagine being there in person. Along with the serenity and peace felt throughout the video, it really made me feel so thankful for all the beauty and wonders in our beloved planet Earth.
