"free" verbs, my favourites are, Melda's "Charmverb" and "convolutionEZ", Dennis Tihanov's "Oril river", Michael Willis's "Dragon fly", and also Leslie Sanford's "Sanford reverb". I would have mentioned Valhalla, but you already did that ;0)
I started using the 'Sonitus:fx Reverb' plugin that came with Cakewalk Guitar Tracks back in 2002(?) and have continued to use it ever since. It carried over to Reaper from Cakewalk so I was happy about that. So it doesn't have a cool user interface and forces you to learn 'numbers and stuff'. I've learned over the years how to get what I need out of it with little trouble, and able to fine tune it easily when I do. And I get some nice, warm and lush sounds when called for. Really shines on drums though.
@@LEWITT-audio They look pretty, and do ease function for users who don't have time to mess with 'the basics' or are not as knowledgeable to the inner workings of the effect they want to use. But for someone like me, who has been using effects like these for over 20 years, and their analog equivalents for even longer, it's no sweat to use the 'scientific access'.
I got myself a license of Raum by Native Instruments for free a few months ago in a sale they were having and it's my go-to reverb ever since, it's magical
epicPlate by Variety Of Sound is by go-to for vocals and synths. (especially synths). it has such a nice character to it and you can turn up the drive so that it saturates the verb nicely and also gives it the benefit of not clouding up the source.
In terms of sound, the best reverb in my arsenal is the SSL Native Flexverb. It sounds very clear and open. I also like to use iZotope Neoverb. The reverbs I use the most though are Fruity Reeverb 2 and Fruity Convolver because of lower CPU usage and they don't sound that bad. They're techinically free since they come with FruityLoops.
There may be multiple different tools that give you that intended effect, reverb, compression, saturation, etc. Your best bet may be to find some examples of recorded audio that sounds like what you're going for, and see what plug-ins they use. Feel free to post something here and we might be able to point you in the right direction.
Plugin? I use hardware reverb units whenever possible. I have 2 currently, one Lexicon MPX 500, and one Roland DEP-5. Though if I had to choose a plugin, I'd have to go with the Dragonfly reverbs. Those are my go-to's whenever I just need something quick and good sounding. EDIT: Oh and whatever is loaded into the Midas Heritage console as well (VSS3 and VSS4), but only for live use.
Very sorry to hear about this delay. I can try and track down this communication and push for a follow up. Did you reach out to the support@lewitt-audio.com email address?
@@LEWITT-audio you find my email in my channel. On this account I usually put trash I do not need online. Sometimes some work in process. Why yours company produce in china? Why not Taiwan for example? Sometimes it’s better to pay some bugs more. I was much shocked that yours microphones that was send to an influencer for testing was damaged in less than one year. Rennaissance!
Plugin & Hardware.... Lexicon MPX-1, LX-480, Altiverb.
OrilRiver
TB Reverb V3
ConvologyXT
Big fan of Supermassive. Been using it for our live broadcast mix for a few months now.
I'm a big fan of TAL Reverb 2, it's simple, sounds great and stock preset works 90% of the time, so you don't have to tweak anything
Love it
That's a good one for sure!
I love orilriver by Dennis Tihanov, it's the most natural sounding reverb i've heard, especially on acoustic instruments and piano.
We love it as well 😀

Cool suggestion! Sometimes cool or fancy UI colors our perceptions, can even be distracting! 😀

Your channel has been both educational and entertaining. Thank you for all that you do!
Thank you!
If you work with a DAW, the stock reverb will do a great job too. The Logic X Chromaverb is awesome for example ❤
Good tip. Most DAWs give you a couple good options! 😀
Ambient by Stone Voices, TAL and Supermassive are my go-tos.
crazy stuff! liked the video...
Thanks for watching!
Could y'all do a video on plugins that make your audio sound more... Full? No echoes or reverb but something that conveys a cozy bedtime story feeling

No excuse. I wait since one week for an email answer from yours company. I guess I choose another company to buy.
