- Phil's daughter, Phyllis, enters the Unashamed Lair with her artist husband, Tony, and it's clear they fit right in. Tony has a warning about why you have to be careful about what you say in front of Phil, Jase, and Al. Phil shares a lesson he learned about having junk out in his yard. Phyllis and Tony recall the first time they visited West Monroe before Phil knew who they were, and they talk about overcoming hardship and maintaining faith. Tony reveals he went to church for decades without hearing the Gospel and shares a few meaningful pieces he painted. I've always thought it is amazing the effect a daughter has on their dad. It brings out a very loving, tender and protective side to them. Those are qualities only God can instill. I love this family. If we had more of them in this country our country would be so much more an awesome place to live.

I recently had your podcast come to my youtube suggested videos and it could not have been a better time for me. I have been struggling in my life and as a nurse it has been a very challenging year. My friend is an Iraqi war veteran & he & all who love him commemorate what he calls his "Blow Up Day". The day he survived being blown up and his friends were killed. It's in no way a party day! Just a day to remember & reflect.
I so identify with Phyllis. Meeting my birth father for the first time was incredibly terrifying and awkward, but I am so blessed to have had him in my life before he passed into the arms of Christ. Thank you for sharing your story!

Hey i hope this finds it’s way to Phil! You are such a blessing in my fience life, we are both active duty military and you have changed his view on so many things! I’m Baptist and he was raised catholic but as we just got engaged he has told me he has not wanted to go the catholic route and said his wish would be that you would be able to marry us. I know it’s on a limb and i doubt this will even get to you but if hate myself if i didn’t try! He gets in dark times some nights thinking back on his time in Afghanistan and the buddy’s he has lost since being back and listening to you has seemed to help him make right of things and although he tries to hide thing about how he’s feeling you know how your soulmate hurts if they show you or not. We have been so blessed by the lord through our relationship and I’m not sure how to even do something like this but i figured I’d try this since he’s always taking about how you post new videos regularly. I mean he’ll be in the shower listening to this or your podcast and he’s always trying to understand things and you’ve helped him grip some bad things and make them more understandable. I love him with everything i am and only want him to be happy so I’m praying this makes it’s way to you Phil! The wedding is nov 22, 2022 he just picked up Chief and I’m so proud of him! He is a second generation Seabee anf has been in for 12 years! I thank you for everything you do for people and we love how you are pure hearted and stick to your beliefs! All of our love! ( luckily he doesn’t read the comments)

Only God could put a story like this one together. A reminder to all God’s timing is always right from Phyllis’s birth snd how you’re lives are bound together is an amazing story. The acceptance and grace your family has shown is a testimony to believers and those who do not believe. The Holy Spirit works in our lives when we don’t even realize what’s going on. Miss Kay has her daughters (counting in laws), Phil has the blessing out of his sinful days (proving God turns all things out for good), Jep isn’t the baby sister anymore, but gets to stay the baby, and Phylis has the family she always wanted. God is so faithful! I use your family often to illustrate how God works and what being faithful can do!
