  • Phyllis loves to hunt with her dad and brothers, but Jase noticed something was off about her aim. Phyllis shares a story about opening her own bank account at age 9 and surprising everyone, and Al tells a great story about Steven Tyler. Jase describes the way Jesus takes people's messes and turns them into messages, and Phyllis becomes an artist overnight and already sold her first painting!

      @@grlnexdoorable as she should. The boys were hell raisers and wild. Phyllis, walked herself to Jesus. She is very much like Miss Kay, love God. I totally see why the daughter gets the extra Grace. She came to him late. And she came having cut her own path. As my son says to me Mom I came to your party late. But I'm glad I'm here. Phyllis came to her dad and Miss Kay's party late in life but she's glad she's there and she doesn't deserve grace. Love the boys. Wish I might be partial I have four brothers and I'm the middle child. Since I'm the only girl I do not have middle child syndrome. I feel more connected to feel now that he's had a daughter. He needed that little bit of extra softness pulled out of him. Phil is a better man having a daughter. It's really cool to see now that. He was a great man already. And Miss Kay got her daughter, after all.

    My breath was taken a little at the comparison Phyllis made between the workers hired first and last and her “arrival” in the family. The picture discussion was sad and then beautiful. But her explanation of why she feels she was so drawn to God despite being surrounded by unbelievers brought tears. That alone is such an incredible testimony to Gods hand of love and to the unknown reach of Phils obedience to The Lord’s call. Simply staggering. Using the word amazing, or awesome, seems so trite to describe all that He truly is in the life of His children. Unimaginable power.

  • @richardbunch5160
    @richardbunch5160 2 года назад +24

    I sympathize with Phyllis! I was adopted when I was 3 months old. My mom and dad never hid it from me. When I was old enough to understand, they told me about everything. Being a kid, I thought this was cool and was ok with it. As I grew older I always had this little part of my mind that was always wondering what actually happened and why I was put up for adoption. Mom and dad didn’t know the whole story and didn’t care because they had a child. Their prayers were answered. I always figured that one day I would pursue this and find out. Fast forward when I was 55 years old, I pulled the trigger and dug into it. My dad passed when I was 30 and at the time I started digging my mom was 84. I didn’t hide it from her and told her up front when I started. Long story short, I found my birth mother in Texas and believe it or not she was 84 years old and still kicking. I also found out I had 3 sisters and one brother. Her husband had passed in his 40’s. I met her in Texas at her oldest daughters house. Me and her sit in a porch swing for 3 hours and talked by ourselves. She held my hands the whole time. She told me the whole story. I cried and she cried. I laughed and she laughed. It was a very happy occasion for me and I told her that I held no grudges for her or her family. What happened, happened and you can’t turn back the clock. I made some mistakes in all this and I wish I could go back and change them. My mom even got to meet my oldest sister. I haven’t seen or talked to them in over 16 years and my birth mom passed shortly after I met her. In all this, I feel like I possibly filled an empty void in my birth mom’s soul because she got to see me, hug me, and know that I turned out ok. I hope maybe I gave her a little peace of mind.

      My story is similar, except I was 3 days old and have 3 brothers and a sister. I’ve known all along that I was adopted. I often wondered if I was similar to my biological family and felt right at home with them when I met them in 2018.

    Truly appreciate hearing from Phyllis, her story and nostalgia from the early days. I too remember laying on the rear deck of the 65 Ford looking at the car behind us, or up at the stars. The other thing that was just normal for myself and my two younger sisters was riding in the back of Dad's pickup truck. He and Mom inside the cab, many times we sat on the tailgate going down the highway stretching our legs trying to drag our feet on the asphalt. Nobody thought a thing about it, and most people would smile and wave to us, of course we lived in a very small town in Arkansas. Everybody knew everybody. Try it today and see what happens.

      We have all sinned. But sin no longer has control if we stay close to Jesus Christ, our intercessor and keep a broken and contrite spirit before the Lord. Phil is honest, but I am sure he is grieved at his past sinful nature. However, what a great blessing is found in Phillis and her family.

    At 51:41 - Jase says to Al, "When I saw the picture, I said you need to stop what you're doing, and look into this." Looking at Phil's photo as a College football player, and looking at Phyllis.......UNCANNY resemblance. I quickly noted to myself that she had Phil's facial features and I saw Phil in her. Myself, I have re-watched this series of episodes MANY times as this has struck a chord with me that, as Phyllis has stated many times, this is NO coincidence. God had his hand in this all along and though it took several years, He brought Phil and Phyllis back together. Extremely glad I went back and found the episodes where Phyllis was brought into the family. This has definitely opened my eyes to a few things. Which God may have been intending to do for me.

    I am 51, and as kid's, our generation rode in the back of the truck, mowed the lawn with a push mower i could not see over the handle. I was a tv remote for my folks, the coffee maker, cook, dishwasher, house cleaner, farm hand, jack of many trades, but mastered them growing up. I feel like my grandparents were my true role model though, because my first year's close to teenager, were abusive at time's. I believe all the work made me a hard worker beyond what most people can do, and that the Lord watched over me as a kid, even today He guide's me in the Spirit that dwells among mankind. God bless everyone, and trust the Word, thing's are gonna get rough.

    Phyllis looks like Al and Jase looks like Phil. You can totally tell they are siblings. You can tell Phil keeps wanting to say something but they are all talking. It is great he lets them talk and have their voices.

    I’d like to know what’s happening with Phylis’ mom. I do know it’s probably a touchy subject though.

      I was wondering about her too. I doubt that she will ever come visit Phillis since they moved away.
