    • @oldschoolfunkster1
      @oldschoolfunkster1 Год назад +7

      @@markasflood8196... Sure did! I used to send for free tickets to NBC Studios in Burbank. Not as much as I liked, but it was fun. I saw Laverne & Shirley twice, The New Laugh In ( saw Robin Williams in his debut there). He made the rest of the comedians crack up. Went to a few taping of The Midnight Special (imagine free concert tickets and the seats were on the floor so you got to be almost front row. Saw Santana, George Benson, Tom Jones, ELO...
      . I saw 2 episodes of Chico and the Man ( two weeks later Freddie Prinze committed suicide). Saw a few pilot episodes of new shows, and many Johnny Carson shows. Yes, the real johnny Carson.
      The reason for me going was that I was intrigued by how movies and shows were made. Behind the scene stuff. I wanted to be a cameraman for a studio. But unfortunately it didn't happen.
      I STILL love behind the scenes bonus stuff on my DVDs. Lol.

      @@markasflood8196 ... Yes. They had a live audience there too. Went to 2 taping. I wished I would've seen Happy Days, but those tickets were hard to come by.
      Also went to Century City Studios.
      I lived in East Los Angeles at the time, maybe an hour in traffic to get to the studios. Used to send a self-adressed stamped envelope with a request of how many tickets I wanted, usually a limit of 4 or 6. They would mail them back in the stamped envelope I supplied. I hear they have ticket booths around those areas for free tickets and are handed out on a first come basis. They always over issue tickets, so being at the taping early is also important.
      Also, being a wrestling fan, I used to go to KCOP studios, ch.13, in L.A. the seating were bleachers, so every seat had a ring-side view.
      Fun times and great memories.

    You’d NEVER be allowed to air this show, The Jefferson’s, Married with Children, All in the Family, or even In Living Color these days. They made fun of EVERYONE, and someone would be offended by something & try to “cancel” them.
