Cleopatra, I have to tell you something. Don't EVER be ashamed of the relationship you have with your mother. I grew up with a mother who's very abusive psychologically, verbally and physically and I wish I had a relationship like you and your mother. Everytime I see your family I think to myself, I wish my family was like this. I've seen a lot of criticism against your family, but the bible says: Titus 1:15

Taina or Tainá is a native Brazilian name as well. It means morning star, star, or heavenly stars in tupi-guarani language. So there a lot of Taina around Brazil. You guys should go there :)

I am OBSESSED with her name. Just with the little bit of personality we’ve seen - she definitely looks like Anakin-Taina. I love the name. Anakin is beautiful. Absolutely adorable. The fact that it includes Taina, your Mum's name and your middle name carries on the generational power of strong, Godly women who are independent and have strong, positive relationships with each other and God.
I think it's such a beautiful thing to have a close relationship with your mom, that you thought to name your daughter partly after her. I did the same, thinking that I would have a close relationship with my mom, but it wasn't there from the start and it never happened. Now with dementia processing, it's a lost cause. You are truly blessed to have each other's support and friendship from the start, that's so important. God bless you.

In Brasil we have many Tainas, it is a very common name. But it comes with a "á" in the end, due to the stressed sillable. It is spelled Tainá and it is an oxytone. Its origin comes from the indigenous people of Brasil, more specifically the Tupi-Guarani people, and it means 'star' or 'morning star'. We have a movie about a little indigenous girl named Tainá, wich is also the movie's name, that I highly recommend.

I named my daughter after a Woman who lived a long time ago. She was known for helping people in need, feeding them and trying to get people on the right path. She was a strong believer. Her middle name is an „italian version“ of my mom’s first name, in honour of my late grandfather who sadly passed away when my mom was only 2 years old.
