This is the most advanced GDI Trojan. It does more than just playing random sounds and splashing random colors, but it also goes as far as corrupting drives and not just the MBR. It also has much better than average payloads.
The .exe in this file doesn't mean executable,... IT DOES MEAN EXECUTION FOR YOUR COMPUTER

i thought viruses for XP could be scanned with virus scanners of that time,
like say, Windows defender or Microsoft Security Essentials,
but they still make viruses for this os and don't just move on?
Windows XP doesn't come pre-installed with an AV unlike newer versions like Windows 10 or Windows 11 that has Windows Defender. One main reason these viruses are mostly demonstrated on Windows XP is due to DWM not taking place which significantly increases the speed compared to Windows Vista or higher where DWM is enabled and slows down the GDI.
@@Itzsten it may not have one installed, but its pretty easy to get Windows Defender XP, right? also, what does DWM stand for?
