I think Jill makes this band so much better!! Jill is the Violinist, Fuki is the female singer.
Violin just compliments the brutality of metal so well. It's amazing
If you want some songs by them where Jill is just epic, full stop. You need to hear the stuff they just released as a side project, they are instrumental tracks where the violin is like the singer. They are covers of great guitar tracks. Eruption (Van Halen) , Far Beyond the Sun (Yngwie) and Dance Of Eternity (Dream Theater).
I have to add, Jill is a fan favorite and the band is immensely proud of her. She is integral to the band, both in sound and imagery.
Fuki, the singer, writes all the lyrics and she is a legend in the metal scene in Japan. She participated in various bands, sometimes concurrently, (Light Bringer, Dollsboxx, of course this band, her own project , she has sung in anime songs, and more. ). In Japan the last 15 years there has been en explosion of creativity and talent in rock/metal music with women leading the charge. It’s incredible.
great reaction 😊
please next
Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER / REVADAC + sheet music
This video is a set of two songs with a little gimmick
I recommend the + sheet music version because you can see at a glance what the gimmick looks like.
I'm using a Google translator, so I'm sorry if it's strange English 🙏
i'm always so amazed with how Fuki can sing and Jill can play while headbanging like water wheels...
It’s ridiculous
She's Fuyuki Tenge the singer, Jill the violinist. My favorite song from them is Unlucky Morpheus - Vampire+Opfer (Live).
I second that. Opfer live is just out of this world!
It's great to see more people listening to Unlucky Morpheus. I would like to add that this song is actually an arrange of the theme "Septette for the Dead Princess" from the game "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil". This game is a part of the series called "Touhou Project", and Unlucky Morpheus has also done many arrangements of the music from this series.
I actually found out about them because of Touhou, and I absolutely love their music.
Although the main melody isn't their own, I really love all the original aspects they added. I can go "Oh, I recognize this theme!" while also appreciating the effort they put to make something new.
I didn't know this video....Fantastic ! They are all the highest level musicians !
Thank you for this post ! ))
In a universe were Apocalyptica exist ( a fantastic metal band were the members are 4 cello players), I say yes, literally any instrument is suitable for metal. Jill is a fantastic violin player and an iconic musician.
They describe their genre is melodic speed metal, but they usually mixing some other genre as well in their songs...
Like Jay said, name of the singer is Fuki and she is a legend on Japanese metal scene. Jill is the violinist, or may I say lead violin in the band. Fuki, along with Shiren (guy on the right, with long red hair) founded the band back in 2008. He is in charge of writing music and doing an arrangement, while she writes the lyrics for the songs. By the way, nice reaction! Do more UM reactions!
Why not violin in metal ? Lovebites has put piano into it . Black Sabath put harmonica into it in The Wizard 50 years ago. Lets keep it evolving , and keep metal alive and interesting.
Hell yeah!! I remember dreaming in orchestra class the day a violin broke into the metal game... it probably happened a long time ago but for me its now and forever... love it!!!
if I'm not mistaken, the whole beginning is Bach?🎻🧐👌Bach music is deeply spiritual, perfect and serious at the same time
Any instrument can work in metal. Bands like Sigh, a Japanese black metal band that has a saxophone player (who is also a model and a doctor. Because Japan)
I recommend Black Pentagram live, you'll get see epic violin duet with guitar.
Thanks Herr🤘😎
A quick note about your comment regarding Trans Siberian Orchestra. If you watch one of their live videos, you are correct that they have an electric violin. But they also have a six piece string section that is traditional wood strings (violin, cello, etc)
bruh you must see her cover of Far beyound the sun, really, you must, trust me you need it
Genre wise I would roughly classify them as Power metal just with a Violinist rather than a keyboard Player.
Well put Behemoth 🤘
Hey Jimmy - another great reaction! With respect to the question if violin belongs in metal, I emphatically say yes (as I used to be a violinist as well). In order to support my opinion, I would like to point out that there are other metal bands that include violin. The first is Ne Obliviscaris (Australian) and a great video is "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live" ruclips.net/video/rNuVdsx7qJY/видео.html. The second band is Eluveitie (Swiss) and they have a very good video "King (Live)" ruclips.net/video/M9viumj-csQ/видео.html - I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did. 🤘🤘🤘
DOES VIOLIN BELONG IN METAL? Since I discovered Unlucky Morpheus, i wonder why metal without violin exist.
【Cover】Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun (Violin Cover) ruclips.net/video/E2hZDzJp9Pc/видео.html
Well said Jaroslaw🤘😎
maybe you will be interested, at the beginning Jill plays a variation on the Russian folk song polyushko pole ruclips.net/video/xcHhuFN2CO0/видео.html
If you are asking that question in the title I am going to assume you have never heard of Korpiklaani ;-)
Now I have😋
🤯😏🤟
*laugh in folk metal*
Is this a cover of remilia's theme?
It a cross between metal and gothic.
can anyone send me the original video. damn i really need this video the utube delete the original video. messege me if u had it. really appreciate if anyone can send me
Ok, people already corrected you on the names. Here are links to instrumentals featuring Jill:
Cover of van Halen "Eruption" ruclips.net/video/eTb0TQtVT6k/видео.html
Cover of Malmsteen "Far Beyond the Sun" ruclips.net/video/E2hZDzJp9Pc/видео.html
Cover of Dream Theater, played blindfolded: ruclips.net/video/8eZVVtaOBKk/видео.html Knock yourself out, we'll send paramedics.
Is this some sort of trick question?
Lol.. yes
"Does violin belong in metal?" - what question is that? Does bagpipes belong in Rock? Ask AC/DC!
Everyone in this band is freaking good musicians, but I must confess that without Fuki and Jill they would kill me out of boredom.
"La voz dormida" mago de oz
Listen to fare beyond the sun
And then listen to the original
Who wrote it Yngwie Malmsteen
First album blow your mind 🤯
