- Back in the water at two small beaches that was generous to me earlier, and there is still more to be found. Metal detecting under water in the southern parts of Norway, week 36, two dives. Using a Minelab Excalibur II, mounted on a Plugger straight shaft.
Certainly one of the better underwater videos u have seen in a long time thanks!
Great underwater video! Awesome finds.
I hope you have many more finds, and I will look forward to your next videos.
GL&HH from Louisiana.
Mike

Hi. That's a great video with amazing finds! But the water looks freezing cold! :) Good luck!
Magnificent mesmerizing video! Lots of work making that one.
Cool! I live in Norway maybe i should try that when i am older? Very cool finds and rings!
The place is teaming with shrimp!!! Nice side views of you detecting!!
I could watch hours of this, great video :)
Thank you! Glad you like it ;-)
Nice video! Congrats on the rings!
Great video and awesome finds!
Man that really looks like so much fun!!!
It is David ;-) Go for it if you can.
MrNatco, thanks for the comment. The water in Norway can be very clear. In this video the vizebilty was quite poor
Very nice video and finds!
Thank you very much Thesaurus Venator. Appreciate it.
DAM THATS SWEET!! NICE GOING, WISH I HAD THAT SET UP NICE VID
Thank you Antony ;-)
Thank you very much Dan! More to come later on.
Wonderful finds! Congrats Doc. Subbed
I really want to go out and do this now...
the ring on 5:13 looks just like a ring that my grandfather wears!
very interesting! another world down there, had to watch intensely!
gonna buy some scuba gear lol!
Yeah you should ;-) Its great fun, and its a nice way to get away from it all for a couple of hours. All worries and stress are gone while ure under. You just focus on this.
Thank you wildmatt1. Its a little bit extra "work" with two cams, but it is sure worth it. The bent upper corners on one of the cams is history from now on. Just received a new underwater housing for that cam.
Did you ever find out about the gold ring with the roman head on it??? That looks very rare/old. Wow.
Great vid very impressive and great finds
Thank you Lee ;-)
Thanks for the showing man
hipnotic. Thanks for uploading
Thank you ;-)
This is high quality underwater detecting video-stuff. Minelab would be interested in this I guess. I love the way you switch between "buddy-cam" and "detector-cam". You probably have the best UWD videos @YT worldwide to date. Respect. Hope you will find good use of some om my old equip. Is that my old yellow find's bag? Did you try the UW-vibratech-probe yet? Anyway, keep it up - I know a lot of resources and time goes into making stuff like this and it makes great entertainment. HH. /DN
Owsome video, i have done diving once and it was breath taking. Now i got itterrested in metal detekting and you combine them both and surche places no-one has bin before, im jalous haha thnx very very much for his video and know what to do lol.
Dive safe m8 and hope you find lots of tressuer down there! :) please forgive my english :) o/ o/
Thank you Roger :-)
Very interesting Sir. I really enjoyed your video. I find it fascinating how you can suspend yourself in the water. I would think you would ether sink to the bottom or float to the surface. But I am not a diver so it is a mystery to me. Great job and nice finds I had to sub you Thanks again
Yes DetectingNTexas, its time consuming fun ;-) Thanks for the comment and for subscribing!
Thank you Mojosmind. I tried to put a little effort into making it, so glad to hear that ;-)
Thank you volvomannen79. I think you will be very pleased with the Plugger shaft. I am.
Fantastic video and nice finds!! I was also wondering what method you use to clean your silver rings. Thanks, had to sub:)
wow!!Fantastic video!congrats!
Thank you Javier :-D
Appreciate it Oldvet !
Flott video Kai, og godt redigert :)
Im looking into buying a gold detector, but am split between the minelab gpx 5000 and sdc 2300.. I was hoping to use it for searching deep (big ;)) gold on land and also scuba like yourself.. Is there such a product that can provide both? Cheers
Thank you so much Michael. So nice to hear after the many hours I spent making it. Which is fun of course, but my video making software crashed a few times in the making. But I am learning... work in progress ;-)
Thank you Mark. Yeah, you will have lot of fun With an Excalibur ;-)
Your gear is awesome !! Is that a dry suit ? What a cool finds bag !! Is the water cold ? I metal detect and I'm a PADI diver but I've never done them together. Great finds, really awesome video too !! Many praises, keep @ it and HH !!
Thank you Mudswat. Yes, a Ursuit drysuit, keeps me warm in the cold Norwegian water, no problem between may and december. You should try it, its great fun.
Thank you DiggingNorway, for those kind and encouraging words! I really appreciate it. No, thats not your yellow finds bag. I guess I had the same. I did'nt try your old vibratech probe yet, but I will. I use glasses you know, and my dive mask glasses are without correction, so its hard to se small objects sometimes, so I think the vibratech probe will be useful.
Riktigt nice video! Grattis till fina fynd! :)
Thanks Meridith! Yes, its time consuming fun ;-)
Hi great vids I'm gonna get an Excalibur in the future I'd love to do water hunting aswell as land good luck and happy hunting subbed..mark
Thank you Rob. Working on the next one ;-)
Thank you Dinkidi Digger!
Thank you for the very nice words flintmanaby123. Encouraging me to make more ;-)
Nice video. This must be a great hobby. Combining treasure hunting with diving ;D
Thank you Fredrik. Yes, my two favourite hobby's combined. Cant get better than that. And I like making/editing video as well ;-)
Thanks amabamajones62. Yes I have found viking relics, but that was on land, in a field in out neighbour country Denmark. I am just waiting for Discovery Channel to call, hehe ;-)
dette var inspirerande å morosamt å sjå. korleis vel du ut plassen du skal søke? og kva kostar ein slik metalldetektor?
Hi gettingrings. Yeah, it really do a good job. I will try to make a short video of my setup later.
That's allot of 9mm. Bullets ... wow. Love the video
Glad you like it Jonathan :-)
I already have a straight shaft from him and it works great for using on land. but its to long to use as a dive shaft, thats why i bought that too.. :)
Veldig bra video !
Thank you donica42. No, its not cold. 15 degrees celcius, and I am wearing a drysuit with warm underwear under. So temperature is not an issue - yet... But between november and april/may it will be to cold to metal detect in the shallow water.
Thanks Silver Prepper. For sure, I will check out you channel. HH
very nice video ! enjoyed watching it
Thank you for the comment Jason :-)
Well, I am usually no deeper than 3-5 feet, and there is many bouy markers longer out. (not allowed to go with boats inside them). I feel very safe, but I will consider it...
Thank you bluecitybluetube.
Thank you Jeffrey Jez. Yeah, I think the Music was a good match. Comfortable listening ;-)
hey nice video, i subscribed.
i was just wondering how the rings got there and what age they are from also who is there so many bullets?
Hi. People lost it when they where swimming, easy as that. I dived outside beaches that have been popular for at least 100-150 years back. The bullets - I dont know - but probably because there is a military camp very close. Probably someone had fun shooting at bottles in the water or something.
i see that's cool, do you ever find anything older and maybe Viking related?
So far, coins and jewlery from the 1800s are the oldest finds
Har du gjort søk der hvor det har vært mye industri tidligere ? sikker på hvis du hadde søkt ved gamle moss verft så hadde funnet mye !
Hei Allan. Ja det kunne sikkert vært interessant :-)
Thanks detectingwjesus. I have feeling its 1800s, or early 1900
Hi Sole Digger. Thanks for subscribing, and for the nice words. Yeah, I am very glad for the PR Michael Swan66 gave me ;-)
hi kei:) is there any age restrictions for metal detectors in Norway? or anything in that order? really like your video 📹 keep it up:)
No its no age restrictions. Dont know why there would even be age restrictions on them.
Great Vid! how long can you be out in the water?
Great vid buddy :) What type of detector is this underwater (any name) ? i want to buy one for underwater thanks ;)
Thank you ;-) Its a Minelab Excalibur II. Very good - the best - and easy to use. Good luck!
I like it :) oh thanks, and something more, can you tell me, another one powerful for the ground search ? I'm very interested. And this one "Minelab Excalibur II" does it works fine in ground as a normal detector?
I will recommend Garrett AT Pro or AT Gold, mid price range for ground search. Yes you can use Minelab Exacalibur on land search as well, with a hip mount for the control box and the battery box
Kai Garseg
great thnks again :) and good luck :)
Thanks you DiggingDoc
Thank you silvermad1
Utrolig bra laget, Kai!
Great video
Hi cndtrodlet. Usually between 3 and 4 hrs. If my bladder permits ;-)
Got a estimate price on all that? And you should give the gold wedding ring back to the people who owned it :)
Takk skal du ha Digging A Hole. Følger dine videoer også. God underholdning!
That looked like fun :-)
Takk for det Tom Are. Jeg er ny på dette, så det tar jammen tid. Da er det hyggelig å høre at det ikke ble helt ræva... ;-)
great video
hi friend !! where are you from ? sorry for the correctness of the delivered speech!
Dette var en morsom video! :) Har noen spørmål: Er detektoren dyr? og er du på veldig dype områder og eller er du på noen spesielle steder i vannet?
Hei. Minelab Excalibur II koster 12.000,- i Norge. Er ikke dypt i det hele tatt, er for det meste på mellom en og to meters dyp utenfor strender
bra jobba!
that water must be fraaaaeeeezing
Dry suit with clothes under, so no problem
very nice video ! :)
really cool vid. I subbed mate.
Hei Pål Atle. Søker i vannet på strender som alltid har vært populære. I norge så koster Minelab Excalibur II ca. 11 tusen kroner.
Thank you MrKrabinay ;-)=
*This thing is awesome It also Bestfor.Garden land for finding any things very easily. Am surprised at how deep it finds things. We have found deep buried old tractor parts on our property. Old tines. This is addicting!!
