after watching this and the mondstadt one, its interesting to see the subtle differences between aether and lumines movements (when its not a copy-paste ofc). you can see it most in childe's first cutscene with the traveller 0:24 for example, lumine does a quick look through the bush while aether tries to lean around it. or when you first hear childe speak, aether holds his hand out and his sword pointed out to the side, while lumine has her hand withdrawn but clenched, and her sword pointed downwards.. and so on. such little details say so much about the twins. w for hoyo.

Its evident they are used to fighting together before they arived in Teyvat. I love how when the attacks sync up they cover eachothers blindspots! Lumine is used to covering more ground due to their dynamic, hence why she uses more parts of her body, while Aether is used to low, centered strikes hence his low stance and focus on his arms. Another fun thing is Aether uses his right arm for both magic and weapon, Lumine uses right for weapon and left for magic. Aether is slightly faster in sprinting and climbing. While Lumine attacks are slightly faster, plus her attacks do a bit more dmg.
I thought Aether is faster than Lumine when sprinting/climbing only because his model is taller? Like all short males are faster than the short females. (And tall females faster than short males).
It’s interesting that, while Aether is the more lighthearted and goofy twin, he is also constantly on alert for danger. Like when Childe is introduced, he braces for what is to come next. And instead of sharing a look with Paimon, he nods at her (having already determined what they need to do). Whenever Lumine raises her arm, her hand his loose and her the pose looks more casual/demure way. Aether clenches his fist and guards his chest, like he is expecting to be attacked.

Lumine is very light footed and more proper while Aether shows more emotion and more clumsy. It kinda shows how they wield there sword, Lumine uses one hand to keep a good algorithm while Aether uses both hands to show he would be more indecisive and more prone to if a accident happened he would be able to use the other though.
Simply from the movements alone, it seems like Lumine is the more experienced of the two. Especially from the Childe fight when Aether wipes his mouth but Lumine doesn’t, indicating she got less hurt/messy. Her movements are more calculated and elegant while Aether’s are just a bit more clumsy and brash. I really like how that showed their differences. I love the possibility that Lumine is the better fighter(in my opinion) (Please note that I said it was MY OPINION. I’m not saying she is)
As a Lumine player, I love how demure she is, which is also why I think she'd play the villain better~ buuut I still love playing her as the traveler. ❤️
I like Aether. How he shows emotion, how he moves and shows impact in his movements. Perfect as a traveller. They keep making lumine too perfect and with the dress it just don't do it for me. She looks more like a princess than a traveller. I like that Childe in the fight with Aether didn't hold back. That bloodthirst and battle hungry came out full and Aether still beat him. I especially like these expressions on Aether: 3:37 the determination in his eyes 4:46 the delight in his widened eyes 5:09 smug look with a smirk 5:50 the gesture that he's just done with everything I appreciate the model conveys the correct emotion. Like everybody else I am just stating my opinion on how I see it

I like Aether better. He's more lighthearted and easygoing. Lumine is kinda serious, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just that, Aether's personality is more "meme-able". I feel like there are a lot more memes of Aether than Lumine out there.

Well in game, lumine has slightly more charge attack damage then aether, JUST A LITTLE so yeah, lumine is offensive and aether is defensive
