this is so awesome, any chance for including a trained model to make testing easier? I don't have many midi files that are set up that way (i usually use simpler slicer or audio clips for drum programming). im so excited to use this and ill definitely fill out the survey
variational autoencoders use the kl divergence as a regularization term to (essentially) force the latent space towards taking the form of a (multivariate) standard gaussian distribution (amongst other things, it also has the advantage of having a nice closed form, etc.) a vae expert would probably have a better explanation than me though
Idea seems cool but could not get it to work. Ableton 10 with bundled Max and with full Max version. Used the pretrained models in github release folder. Keeps saying node editor not working in Max console.

Haven't seen the button referred to in the github labelled "script npm install". Is there another way I can install the script, maybe through terminal? Does it help if I move the m4l patch to a specific folder? On 10.13 high sierra. Would love to test this out, seems like a really well created device!
You probably dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)
It says here on the github page: On Windows: Ableton Live Suite for Windows 10.1.2 and Standalone Max 8.1.2 or later On Windows, you need to set the path of external standalone Max installation on the preference panel of Ableton Live. The device is not compatible with the internal Max runtime.
