This has just been released in the US in an English language version, under the title "My Colorful Town." Thank you for the excellent review... this book has been on my Wish List for quite some time! I'm considering getting the English version, now that it's available. :)

I got my copy yesterday (the English version - "My Colorful Town") and I am in love with it! It really reminds me of Romantic Country, although in a smaller, more compact version. The English version doesn't have the "bonus treats" at the end, though.
I moved this to the top of the stack because I knew My Colorful Town was being released and then I promptly forgot that when I filmed doh! I never ordered the English version as the publisher does not seem to follow the Japanese editions and I like my treats! Hope you have fun coloring it! Happy coloring x
Beautiful book, hopefully I can get my hands on it soon. By the way, the name of the artist is Ida Chiaki (I don't think I've seen it mentioned) and the book on the video is in Korean.

Thank you for letting me know :) I didn't say the artist's name on the video ...because I didn't know how to pronounce it :) It is in the blog post article but I have it as Chiaki Ida so I assume that I have it back to front :) Thank you xxx
Thanks for your review Lea, I just bought this in the English version after seeing this and reading comments, mostly because I want to be able to read it. It's a shame it doesn't have the little bits at the back. Hopefully paper quality is lovely like this one. 😀
The great thing about the English edition is that you can of course read the text and the cost of purchasing is so much lower that it is not such a slap to the wallet as buying from overseas. I hope you love coloring your new book! Please let us know your thoughts when you have received it and had time to have a play in it. Happy coloring x
Hey Lea, got my book today, paper quality is lovely, though it does not have the beautiful dust jacket. I was a little surprised by the size too. it's definitely smaller than I thought. Pictures are all the same as the ones in your book. x
Yay! Well the positive is that without the dust jacket there's less chance of it getting damaged plus you can read the text! Great to hear that the paper quality is good! Hope you love coloring it! Thanks so much for updating us too! Happy coloring x
Has anyone else noticed a theme to Japanese books? "Oh food. Wonderful FOOD! Marvelous Food! Glorious FOOOOOOOOOD!" hahahahahaha :D Seriously EVERY book there at least 3 pages dedicated to showcasing Food! And not just a sandwich. No were talking 1000 calories an item food. And this book! There are 6 pages to the bookstore and most other shops she visits. Guess how many to food? 12!! At the Beginning!! Before the book ends guess what happens? :D hahahaha 6 more pages when she goes to eat!!! And I'm not even counting the coffee break. 18 pages to food. This is not me ranting. This is me pointing out how they have made me HUNGRY for the past 2 years. :) lol But I must love it because I keep coming back for more. Thanks for the great review (and for enduring my rant-I mean fact checking :)
I know! So many cakes and pastries! How does everyone stay so thin! Maybe they just color rather than eat them but I get hungry when I look at the pictures lol! He he I love your fact checking! Happy coloring x
