Thanks for the info about Turo and how it works. The details and quirks of it all is really interesting. I actually never even heard of Turo until I started watching your vids. I wouldn't mind trying out a Gallardo for a day if one became available. See how it feels on an extended drive and if I could live with one.
Turo is expensive. I rented a Tesla Model S which was amazing at $140 a day, but Turo charges an extra $100 a day as well. I spent almost $400 on a one day rental by the time I included the insurance too. The charging was super cheap though, it was under $15 to charge it.
I rented a 2009 Audi R8 4.2 from Turo couple times this year....so far so good, I think once you get to know the owner it is easier to do business in the future.
@@JermsDNA I rented from Alec, he is very cool guy, I think his R8 is currently in the shop because of ABS issue. Here is the list: turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/sunnyvale-ca/audi/r8/713059
No one has mentioned that AAA and I’m sure many other insurance agencies will not cover their insured , when renting with Turo. Just found out for a trip I’m taking next week. And Turo’s insurance prices are stupid extortion expensive. Like $1500 a month is what it can come up to if averaged out. An accident without coverage can bankrupt you if you’re really unfortunate
I'm really having a hard time enterprise is giving me pretty much any car on their fleet for 3 days 250$ with tax plus i have points so it will be around 200$ . I found mustang gt on turo 6 speed manual sounds like a fun car came out to 440 with insurance and all unlimited mileage. I'm afraid it will give me issues or i'll end up paying over that 440 thats at the contract rn but i really want that mustang gt i hope i get lucky!
- First off your videos are on point. Informative and clear. I was wondering if the Premium insurance add on acts as a primary full coverage on both the rental and all parties included in case of an incident. Does it truly act as a $0 deductible, walk away with no fret? I know this maybe a left field question but I feel your experiences may shed some light on the subject... Bless up family...🙏🏼
Appreciate it, Thanks for watching! So there's a lot their insurance too much to list on here, but in short it really only doesn't cover interior damage or mechanical damage.
@@JermsDNA - Thanks for the speedy response J. Yeah, I spent some good time trying to read into it and that was the just of what I understood. Figured I'd reach out. Sometimes it's worth paying the premium just to be stress free while renting. All the best to you and your family bro...🙏🏼👊🏼
I am going to rent a car from Turo for the first time this week because my car is going to the dealership to get fixed for a few days… However, I would like to know, if the owner do cancel, do the owner, give your money back on your credit card? I am just going to get a regular vehicle to get back in fourth to work?
I would never rent from Turo . The deposits are high . their service fees are high , insurance high . I have a better chance going to a regular rental place if I need to .
Thanks for watching. As far as the insurance, in most cases you can use your own policy. Turo really is good for specific rentals that you may not find at your standard rental place
TURO has their own insurance options, but there is a chance your personal car insurance may cover TURO rentals. You may need to check with your own insurance.
Hi there, do we need to pay any deposit or extra fee from Turo? We tried to check out on Turo and didn’t notice any extra charges? Just want to make sure. Ty
Hi Thanks for watching. There is a deposit only in some cases like when the driver is a certain age or if the vehicle is a very expensive... In some cases it's just up to the owner of the car if they want to charge a deposit. I believe TURO does charge some sort of fee, but it's so small that I honestly don't remember what it was. lol hope that was helpful.
There are deposits on certain vehicles. It was my first and last time using TURO. They give the host time for fraud to collect insurance money. They have 24 hours to file claims
I see host and guest with bad experiences on TURO. Owners with cars badly damaged by customers who mistreat them and TURO sending unjustified invoices to customers who have taken care of the cars. I consider that TURO is not doing a good job to guarantee everyone that they have a good experience. This makes me think that the commitment of these companies, owners and clients, is very little and that the benefits obtained from one and the other are very great.
TURO hosts have 24 hours to make claims. You can really get screwed. They can file claims and your liable. Make sure to take after pictures. I've been disputing charges for damages on a car that has severe cosmetic damages. This host is looking to pocket some easy money. It was my first and last time using TURO. Reading the BBB reviews. Many complaints similar to mine

LA has a lot of super cars for rent and their prices are not bad.

It really all depends on the owner of the car at what rate they want to rent out. Hope you find a good deal and have fun!
Very informative, Thank you!

Hello this my first time renting a car from TURO ... did you know if I can ask the owner to see the car first before a rent it? Ty 🙋🏻
You can ask them for sure. It's really flexible and up to the owner of the car how they want to go about the transaction.

Rental agencies charge extra for additional driver. How does Turo handle this?
Depends on what the renter allows, but in most cases all Turo needs is the second driver's license information.

Do you know if they deliver to you, if they pick it up also from the same spot?
Yes, that is an option for most vehicles. Especially at the airport.

Turo is great cheaper than regular rental places
They have a great selection
For most of the cons you just need to be careful on who you rent from. Do some research and look at the reviews.
