Unfortunately as much as I like the fact that these characters are older because let’s face it most lesbian story lines are of 20 something’s developing in a bar or on a vampire show… the writing sucks with these two. So horrible and I’m an older lgbt-er that would have so enjoyed this pairing. But alas, it’s as if the writers didn’t know how to build up up to a relationship like any other couple (gay or straight) in tv land. Some stupid exec says “yes” let’s pander to the fan base but the writers and directors just simply forgot that the audience needs to see some kind of development in to a relationship. No hinting a long the way, no eye sex, no awkward almost gonna kiss you moment, then something interrupts. Really, nothing. Pairing these two is not even believable. And even worse, one character suffers from alcoholism and a broken family. How original, not. The other has revenges issues but 7 of 9 has a lot more depth to her character. Star trek has a universe full of diverse characters where their intellects and abilities to problem solve in galactic level situations, they are like geniuses. Yet these two ladies… giving you the finger Star Trek writers. You could have done better.
I like you video, but I agree with anbigale After watching some episodes over, I realized how much Seven puts Raffi down. If my girlfriend spoke to my like that I would have walked away. Example, S2 E8 Mercy. They are looking for Jurati, they should call it Seven attacks Raffi. Don’t get me wrong , I love the characters, the Fanfiction world has given them a great chance to be on a more equal plane. I am an older lesbian, respect for each other is important.
