- Description Alizée released her Blonde album in the spring of this year. The song Blonde was the main focus of this album, but it wasn't any good and led to it's failure sales wise. This song K O is a song on the album, about her fighting Muhammad Ali. I think it was the best song on the album, but because of the focus on Blonde, it never was performed in public. So I decided to see if I could make it look like she sang the song "En Concert". I've tried this before with not much success, but I was very surprised at how well I think this came out in my opinion.
I'd like to thank Ray for his assistance that I'm sure without, this would have been just another video and Gratia for her assistance with the lyrics.

Thank you! I've done a few videos before where I synced her singing to a video, so I decided to try it with this. I don't think it was skill on my part, it just seemed like dum luck that everything I tried fell into place. It was the same story with the Alcaline video if you've see that?
Alizée must absolutely sing this song live.It's a pity few people know this very amusing song.
With the Blonde album, Alizee put too many eggs into one basket, She only made a video for Blonde which in my opinion was a mediocre song. Alcaline and K.O. too I think were very good songs and if she had made videos for them, videos made by people who knew what they were doing, with her beauty, dancing and voice, they could have gone a long way.
Not bad, good work, very funny at moments; reminiscent of how the En Concert days were fun, doesn't it? I wonder how much fun it would be today with some of the songs like this one?

I'm sorry I didn't give a written reply earlier. I tried this once before with another song and it didn't work out too well. I decided to try it with this one and the more I worked on it, the more I was amazed at how well it was going despite my amateur video editing capabilities. I did the same with Alcaline in case you haven't seen it.

Having watched this a few more times, calling it good does you a grave injustice. You've obviously selected some really appropriate clips and frames and that alone must have taken considerable time. But it's how you've closely synchronized the song with many different aspects of the live concert (e.g., singing from both Alizee and the back-up girls, the different instruments being played, audience participation and even facial expressions) that makes the whole thing remarkable. Your Alkaline video is excellent but I think that this one borders on genius.
I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier but I've been so caught up with what's going on in this country. Synchronizing her voice with the music was something I had done several times before but synchronizing it with the instruments was new to me and I'm not musically inclined. I don't know g flat from f sharp and I don't even know if those terms apply to this so I had to go with what I thought was right and again it wasn't so much my talent as my luck that things just fell into place for me. I was especially happy with how this sequence turned out, ruclips.net/video/rGpl8Y_kiCE/видео.html. I wonder if you saw the K.O. version with the clips of Ali in it? I could've done a lot better job of combing the two clips but still to watch it, I think it's pretty funny. The big problem I had was not having enough clips of Alizee doing a kick or a punch. But one thing I'm most proud of with that one is interpreting the song. With a lot of her stuff, I look at interpretations on the net which are usually a very basic interpretation. I also have paid a young woman who grew up in Paris but now lives in this country to interpret things like Dals, SAGA, and many of her songs and I had her do this one too but looking at it I felt it wasn't really getting the true meaning of what was being said and i did come up with what I feel is the story in English it was trying to tell in this one set of lines. "It is on this day, one asks the gloves, if there's a day, a gift at the time of their love, to neither the winner nor loser is for? Yes but on this occasion..........", implying that on this day their love is for Alizee. I wonder if you've seen or even wanted the Dals files with English subtitles? I paid to have them interpreted.
@@davidhardy6557 Hi David, my turn to apologize for late response now. Been bogged down with work and then online tech issues so even Alizee has had to take a back seat! Just think what makes your video so good is that for much of it you could genuinely believe that Alizee, the band and audience are in fact respectively singing, playing and singing along to KO rather than the En Concert songs. No, I haven't seen the Ali clips but would certainly like to if there are any links you could provide. Think I'm showing my ignorance here but what do you mean by Dals and SAGA? Assume they're song acronyms but I can't for the life in me think which ones! As for the meaning of KO, I think it's humorous on the surface - the mind boggles at the mere suggestion Alizee could box Muhammed Ali. However, I believe there's a deeper meaning in there about overcoming seemingly overwhelming adversity. Maybe it might even be quite personal to Alizee in that respect. Her marriage breakdown, perhaps? Just speculating there though.
@@coleuk8817 The Ali one was this one where I added clips of her and Ali. The big problem here was as far as her, I didn't have much material to work with as far as her throwing punches or kicks. They talked about their lives and careers and sang each others songs. I paid to have the show translated then uploaded it to RUclips in 3 parts. She did a real good job with Double Je and Sans Bruit. @@davidhardy6557 Thank you so much for the links. Do think that the Ali clips add to the overall humor of the song at surface level. I actually have seen the three SAGA episodes and found they provide an interesting insight into Alizee. I'm not normally into celebrity dancing shows like we have in the UK but watched this episode of DALS that you kindly sent. Again, fantastic window into Alizee as a person. Not a shred of ego about her and clearly has her insecurities just like the rest of us. On this and other evidence, she seems as beautiful on the inside as well as her obvious physical appeal. Amazingly, until last summer I'd never even heard of her despite having an interest in music over many, many years. Is your AlizeeAmerica group/forum still active? And if so, can new members join?
@@coleuk8817 I have the 8 other shows of Dals. If you're not crazy about that type of show, you should at least watch the last one where she won. You can easily join our forum. You can just go there if you just want to observe. If you want to post, all you have to do is register. When you register, it may take a few days for someone to respond because the ones who have that power aren't around all the time.

Hi Julian. I'm not sure how old your comment is but I just saw it today and wanted to comment on it. In my description of the this video, I said that it's a video I made. When they produced this album, I thought K O was one of the two best songs on it, but they didn't promote it and didn't produce a video for it which I thought was a big mistake, so I decided to try and make a video for it and the best material I had was from En Concert. I think it came out quite well. It's a video I really enjoy watching and I did not try and hide the fact it was something I made instead of something that really happened.Take care. Scruffy
