I had the Moza R9 and it perfectly suited my needs, but fate and a stroke of luck brought the R21 into my hands. At first I only noticed more strength but as the months went by I realized more details such as the softness and forget about clipping. I think that the R12 is the best option that exists in terms of value for money, it seems that the moza is hitting very hard to the market.
R21 is just a beast on differential level! R12 is great value and good amount of power for normal use! People going from the old belt driven wheels will have to fight those forces for sure 😁
@@chepilevski In these days, the moza has released 2 updates, now I notice more smoothness in the steering wheel movements, while I notice more the effects of the road, combined with 1 buttkicker in the cockpit it is incredibly addictive. Moza is doing really well and with 12Nm moza has hit the nail on the head. I also have to say that your videos are surprisingly instructive. Whenever I see a video of yours the next thing I do is turn on the computer and enjoy the simracing experience. Thank you
This is one of the most in depth videos on this subject I've seen, answered all the questions I've had and makes me feel like I'm making the better more informed choice and will actually save myself some serious money. Thank you so much.
I’m in a similar place. But the GT Pro hub for Simagic is so good. I feel like Simagic really pull ahead of Moza on the quality of the wheels available.
This thing looks beautiful and your reviews are hands down the best on the entire internet. I am glad though that I didn't wait to find out. The shipping company somehow got my simagic alpha mini soaked in transit so the owner of 6sigma simracing sent me the alpha 15nm as replacement because he felt bad about what happend.
I have the R9 with the ES formula mod wheel and drive only ACC LFM. How do you like the Moza KS wheel for GT racing? (compared to the 28mm ES mod). Thanks for all the inspirations.
Camus 15 is a beast and if is not as compact as this it is way stronger with more features but is huge😁 If space is not what you care much it can be really good choice 💪
Space is not an issue as I'm using a custom cockpit with vr, but my only concern is that I hear alot of people saying that it is all power with no details. I've seen your review but don't know if it's a big issue or if it has been fixed.
@@eliasali9383 it depends which sim you are driving primarily! On ACC for example the details are way too smooth for me personally but on iRacing is rocking with crazy details and the software is improved a lot from my last video and right now is way better experience in most sim titles!
Hi! Could you please share the ACC settings you used for this video? Copied your settings and everything seems much more alive, but I'm unsure about the game settings. Thanks!
I've been trying to decide what I'm going to upgrade to and I was set on the Simagic Alpha Mini then Moza came out with this. Would you consider one wheelbase over the other or would you say they're both about in the same ballpark? EDIT: Sorry I just now saw this has been asked a few times now with answers. Thanks again for making these videos. You're becoming my favorite sim racing reviewer. I don't feel like you're selling me anything and I seriously appreciate and admire that.
Yes buddy, as I’ve said in my opinion there is no real advantage in use and the price difference is small but in favor to Moza ! I like them both a lot and I believe you should mostly consider which ecosystem you prefer esthetically 🤛
Man I've had my R12 since October of 2023 I'm in love with it but I'm super tempted to get a R21 Soon but didn't know if I really need it only issue I have is occasionally when I crash hard ffb will turn off and I have to reset the wheel just put cycle it and it resets and Im up and running again it's only in Assetto Corsa with allot of Mods and it's truly pretty rare
Hey buddy, you don’t need to upgrade your R9 with this for 3nm in my opinion! If you want to really upgrade at some point you have to go for those big bases to really feel the difference in FFB quality! R9 is still brilliant base !
I don’t know if that will happen any soon but I know what to expect as I had something similar before with that motor and the VRS have better encoder which means it must be very close to SC2 experience in the sims I use!
love your way of recording! I'm currently stuck between choosing the Moza R12 or the Simagic Alpha Mini. I really like Mozas ecosystem and fast development, but from watching review I've got the impression that the Simagic force feedback is superior. Whats your take on this? I've also heard that the R12 has some kind of cogging effect when rotating the wheel. (coming from a Logitech G27)
From my experience, the FFB quality is very close and for my personal like I don’t mind which base will I use between Moza 12 and Mini! That being said, the Simagic ecosystem is more polished and developed with one step better quality products! The Moza is however cheaper!
I bought the R5 bundle a few months ago. Now I am building my first Rig. I think I will eventually go with the R12 sooner or later. Its also the only Moza base except for the R5 that is compatible with the pedals from the R5
Thank you for confirming this I was pretty sure, but always a seed of doubt. I don't use the pedals I got with the bundle, but if I ever bother with console I would need them.
Great video. Would it be logical to upgrade from Fanatec GT DD Pro 8 NM to the Moza R12. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Looking for a bit more detail without having to break the bank. Edit, nevermind I just saw you answer a similar question so I will hold out for a couple years and get somthing around the 20NM mark
Yeh buddy, that’s the way I believe! A friend of mine who drives on the DD 8nm said the R12 is better but the differences must be negligible and the jump must be bigger ones you are going to spend on that!
How is Moza's compatibility with third party wheels? I was looking at getting a Moza but I don't want to corner myself. I should elaborate a little bit is there any issues or special parts needed?
Actually Moza is the cheapest way to attach third party wheels as long as they are USB separate controllers or have there own Bluetooth connection! As you saw on that video, I mostly used my other wheels! There QR system is the most affordable actually and I have got many already!
Alpha mini or moza r12 ? More power r12 ? I'm waiting for your proof of the new asetek la prima . Your opinions are the most important to me. Thank you.
They are very close in performance just the R12 have bit better price! In my opinion both are great choices and you must decide which ecosystem you prefer esthetically!
Hey Stylian, I have a question about some higher end wheelbases if you don't mind. I have a Moza R21 and I am not happy with it. The force feedback feels digital, my RS V2 wheel is falling apart, and the motor is not fast enough for professional drifting. Because of these issues, I want to upgrade to Simucube, but I am not sure the SC2 Sport will be strong enough for me. If you have the time and would be ok testing for me, please could you compare the SC2 Sport at 100% strength with the R21 at 80%, 90%, and 100%? 80% of 21 is about 17Nm, but when I set my R21 to 80% it is not strong enough for me. However, I have a slight suspicion that the SC2 Sport will be stronger, as I do not trust Moza's torque claims.
Hey buddy, I’m really surprised with the complaints you have! The R21 feels a lot like the SC2 pro to me at least in iRacing, ACC, AMS2 and rFactor2 I’ve tested the the SC2 sport versus Pro and Ultimate and from FFB quality they felt the same as well to me and the only difference I found was the strength! I am not a drifter and honestly I don’t know how real drifting cars should feel but every time I drift on sim I turn down the return speed on each wheel base as they rotate the wheels too fast ! I even have to turn down each base to 10-12nm to not snap back like crazy! From the SC2 sport we can use about 14-15nm clean forces before introducing clipping and if that will be enough for you is something you can say only for yourself! However, the R21 feels very strong to me and the 21nm peaks feels there in the sample I have here! I don’t want to discourage you but I don’t believe you will get something noticeably different from Simucube at least for the sims I mentioned there ! Have you tried everything from settings point of view? And another thing is , if you are going to spend for sport , why not just jump in the SC2 pro? The cost difference will diminish in long term and you will never think aging ( WHAT IF)
@@chepilevski The main reason I want a Simucube specifically is the rotation speed. The SC2 wheelbases rotate at up to 360 RPM, whereas the R21 is limited to ~220 RPM, which is a *huge* difference. This speed limit is extremely irritating when drifting, and makes quick transitions simply impossible. I have to consciously alter my driving style and slow down my transitions otherwise the wheelbase cannot keep up with the car, which is an issue I haven't faced since owning my old Thrustmaster setup about 2 years ago. I am also very disappointed with the RS V2. The buttons sometimes do not register, and the leather has come unstuck from the foam inside the wheel, which makes it feel very cheap and unpleasant when driving. It also makes a loud creaking noise when I change direction. I think you are right about just going straight for the Pro, especially since I wasted so much money on the R21 already and I regret that, although I feel like I'd get carried away and hurt myself with a 25Nm base. (Also, when drifting, reduce the torque instead of the return speed. I only use ~5Nm when drifting, but I use the highest return speed possible)
Durability we don’t know year buddy! Fanatec have made millions sales of different products and that’s the reason there are some complaints but I personally never had problem with there gear and the same with Moza but they are still new ! It looks like Moza use more aluminum and looks bit better quality from build point of view but we have to see how they stand with the time!
I want your honest opinion I heard that the moza r12 is actually less than 12nm And comparing it with the simagic alpha mini which I heard also is 13nm at real Which does give better feedback? And which one is better to buy now especially with the simagic revealing their new gt neo wheel Simagic for 500£ R12 for 460£
I personally prefer the Simagic ecosystem but more from design and choices which is subjective topic anyway! In terms of FFB quality if there are differences it will be very hard to say as for my use I can make them feel exactly as I want them feel! I usually say to people to not think much about performance as that is very close and choose mostly from they own esthetics point of view looking in the ecosystems 🤛
hello friend I wanted to ask you a big favor could you tell me the distance in cm from the end of your left monitor to your shoulder when sitting thank you very much
Grear choice for people who cant or wont go higher but great options with wheel rims at a great price. Glad to see it I cant comment without spotting something on your rig 😅 i see you have some black out below and too the side of your wheel base? Any info on that.
That is also very tough choice! The Alfa U what s the one I spent almost 6 months and have some very interesting settings which can make it really smooth but ever time I jump on the R21 I feel like is bit more responsive and direct! I will probably switch to R21 for the upcoming months to check how stable it is for extended period of time as with the Alpha U never had single problem for now! Honestly I love them both and can say, the Simucube 2 pro which is my favorite for so many years , doesn’t offer more than those two
Hi there brother! As a new dd wheel user, i find your videos really helpful and entertaining! If only you could make a video about R12 and good ffb for the most popular sims (Ac Acc Ams2 Rr3), it would be very helpful!! Imo this base is going to shell like crazy the next years
@@chepilevskiNo need to try hard my friend, your video about ffb settings helped me a lot, maybe I would like to know from a more experienced person, with how much nm should I play (max or lower without overheat the base) and how much road sensitivity should I add (moza 12 user here) Thanks again my friend (Difficult to jump from a belt drive to dd after 13 years)
@@FataL-Gr the main part is to get clean signal without clipping the FFB ! I usually use around 70-80% gain in most sim titles but that depends on the cars as they are bit different in FFB strength! Don’t worry much about overheating as all those bases are getting hot but are controlled and dripping some of the power which won’t be noticeable, at least for my experience! Just check different levels of road effects and decide which one you like the most 🤛
Hi buddy It was bit complex procedure I had to use SimRacingMachine addapter to fit the Moza QR addapter from the universal hub and I drill holes on the extension to fit second QR to connect to the base! If you find me on Instagram I can send you photos 🤛
Hi im after a dd wheel to upgrade from my tsxw, but getting one in the uk is hard, i need a r12 with a round rim a must for me, don't want to go over a thousand thou, if any has any ideas, i do have some fanatec v2 pedals, but im still using my t3pas, if anyone has any ideas, overclockers are out of stock, asetek don't have a round rim, so im lost any help be great
Great video, you convinced me in buying an R12 ahaha, but like you I would prefer mount the base behind the screen, can you explain how did you use the extension rod that's not compatible with the R12? saw that you used a quick release of somesort in between, but if wouls be so kind and share the setup. Thanks
Hi Stylian, great video. I wanted to ask you, if its worth upgrading from a csl dd, or if i should save up much more, and buy something like a sc2 sport in like 2 years time? I like my csl dd, and have it now for almost 2 years, but i always feel im wanting a bit more power/force out of it. since its a 50% increase in power, and maybe a bit more, since i read somewhere, that the csl dd has lower holding torques than other similar strength DDs. Also im a bit fed up with fanatec QR, because i use a Cube F-Pro, and i dont wanna fork out for another podium hub, which is super expensive and the qr itself has huge play in it, so im only able to use 1 wheel, and i would like to use more (for rally, etc.). Also, does it have any mounting holes on the front for a ddu (grid ddu5)? Do you think its worth upgrading? thanks ;)
Hi buddy It will be noticeable upgrade but I believe it will be better to save for those strong bases and never think ever again about upgrades! The CSL DD already gives you enough and if you want to stop thinking about bases just save for bit longer! VRS DD is also very powerful option for 20nm torques !
@@chepilevski I totally forgot about the vrs. Thanks for your help, youre right about the not thinking about upgrades, that was always my main point when buying more expensive sim gear. the vrs is a great price for what you get as well. I think i'll save up for the vrs, or if something else like that comes out ;)
About the strenght of the ffb between this base and the alpha mini, how much it surpass the alpha mini? Is this an significant upgrade or it just feel the same in its strenght? I'am asking this because the alpha mini is capable of 13Nm, so i imagine the strenght of it punches the same. What are your thoughts?
That will be very hard to measure as I have to test them side by side but they have to be close! The R12 is bit cheaper and that’s the real advantage in my opinion 🤛
this wheel costs exactly the same as fanatec gt3 wheel. fanatec will have to drop prices asap. simagic still beats moza if you are about to spend more than 1k tbh but moza will definitely make them drop their prices also.
Simagic on the top high end side have more refined products indeed and I feel Moza mostly want to make things as affordable as possible on the entry level and compete with Fanatec!
Man, that was bit of headache using another quick release for the base side ,drilling new holes to attach it in the extension and also using the shaft from the Moza hub kit 🙈
@@chepilevski what quick release did you use ? And also did the little wires that come with the moza extension fit ? I don’t mind a bit DIY either. I ordered the moza extension and went to fit it to realise it wasn’t a straight fit
@@Steeezy777 I have the smallest qr from Simagic which doesn’t have standard holes which I take from one wheel! Hello. In case the budget was higher. What options do you prefer? Girl R21, Alpha Ultimate? or if we add in the equation Asetek or Simucube. I personally like raw effects
That’s good question particularly talking about raw effects. I enjoy the Simucube U which can be very smooth but kills a bit the row feeling and the R21 and SC2 are definitely better in those raw settings! Honesty all three options are very close and I still can’t pick up clear winner! I love SC2 but is expensive, I love the R21 but I don’t personally like the esthetics and the Simagic U have great price but bad switch off button place! Other then that I love all three wen take the cars on the track!
@@chepilevski f the truth is, I don't like the aesthetics of the R21. I like the R12/9/5 one better. A pity in my opinion that the Alpha U does that. @@langsor Hello. You're right, I hadn't thought about VRS, and several Pro Simracers use it. Is it your Direct Drive or is it the option you think? The big problem that I see in general, at least in my location; is that there is no store, wholesaler in which you can try the products
I personally prefer to practice on 9-10nm for competitive racing and be able to drive for hours without fatigue and have my body as relaxed as possible! With more I’m getting tension and on extreme situations I’m like a robot! That’s personal preference of course but it works the best for me !
Hi Steliyan Another great video as usual 👍 I have a question though. From what I understand through comparison reviews, the alpha mini feels stronger than the R12. Since you have tested both of these bases, can you confirm this? As many others I’m looking to upgrade and considering these 2 bases and am very confused on which to go with since they are both roughly the same price in my country. I’m coming from a CSL DD which feels strong enough 80% of the time, but I feel like I need just a little more power to enhance the immersion and feel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Hey buddy, thanks for the kind words and support 🤛 My advice is always, if you already have the CSL DD which is 8nm is better to be patient and save bit more for above 20nm bases ! The R12 and the Mini are great and they are very close in power and fidelity but in my personal opinion it won’t be very noticeable upgrade to what you already have! Most of the times people including me , make those small steps and always later ask for more and at the end pay way more! Your base is good enough and if you really want to feel upgraded you have to go for the bigger bases !
Hi Stylian! I noticed in the thumbnail you've got a moza wheelbase with the shaft extender kit. I have a shaft extender on my R9 and was looking to upgrade to the R12 but moza advised the extender is not compatible with the R12. Any chance you could confirm this for me? Absolute shame if that's the case! Thanks!
The shaft on the R12 is single part and the extension kit doesn’t work buddy! I make it possible putting second QR system to be able to attach the extension like w wheel but then I lost the wireless connectivity and had to run the Moza wheels through there Uninstall hub ! If you want to know how exactly achieved that find me on Instagram and I can show you the parts I needed to do all this 🤛
Hello there. I was looking to upgrade from a T300 to a Simagic Alpha Mini. I see that the price is similar to R12, and also, from what I've read, the Mini is around 12-13nm actually. After using both of them, which one would you recommend going for? Thank you very much for your opinion!
I would say there is not much difference from driving experience point of view! You must mostly check the prices and decide in which ecosystem you want to dive buddy!
Simagic it is then! I really like their wheels, although for first I will start off only with a QR and a simple rim, since getting a full wheel from them is out of my budget for now. Thank you very much for your opinion!
How’s it feel in rf2. I’m looking for detail, not heavy truck feel. My left arm has 40% strength so I have to consider that. Plus the cars I’ve raced were never extremely heavy
@@chepilevski speaking or RF2, or RF. RF2 was so hard to get running years ago I said forget it. Seeing you like it makes me want to try again. I think you’re looking for a “simulation” as I am. Feel as close as possible to a real car. As much as iracing has an abundance or racing, the tire model at close to the limit is not good. Some say don’t go too the limit, that’s not racing 😉Ams2 for example ruins it with lack of MP and too many bugs
I can tell you that the R9 in rF2 is far from the "heavy truck feel." In fact I sometimes consider adding a bit of damping to make the wheel heavier when I'm not turning, because it is generally pretty light at default. Plenty of kick in the road effects though. I assume the R12 will be similar.
@@RacingWithChuck27 Remember to lower the car-specific FFB force multiplier a lot in rF2 if you're using a strong direct-drive wheel base - otherwise it's much too heavy.
I just ordered the simajic alpha and you are helping me feel good and understand that it has headroom even if I run it at 12nm...it will be smoother. :)
First of all, very nice review. My question would be, would the Moza R12 a valuable upgrade from the Fanatec CSL-DD with 8NM ? Or would be the 16NM Version a better choice ?
Thx buddy 🤛 My personal opinion is ones you have a DD base like you’ve got the CSL DD you are already in the direct drive world and next step must be the big bases of you really want to not ever think about upgrading! I’ve talk with someone who wanted to move from Fanatec and got the Moza 12 was happy with the the difference but again, you have to think that will be the last change for years to come or you will start thinking later (WHAT IF) In my opinion between R12 and R16 from value point of view the 12 is way better choice and for example R21 is the correct choice if you want to go big!
@@tomtravolta9391 yeh man, I do the mistake to make small incremental steps and at the end spend way more then I have to! If you are patient you may do better choices but again , that’s just one option 🤛
I did the exact same as you. Got the in the 50.off sale. And then sold them two weeks later lol. I have Sprints and Fanatec Elites V2. My impressions of the Simjack Pro's were pretty much the same as you. I could barely move the throttle with that hydraulic rod. Took it off. The brake was loose at the bottom and needed another washer. Also wasn't a big fan of the brake assembly. Plus no software was just a final no for me. I wanted to like them.
I would say they are very close with R12 having better price and combined with the KS can be bit more affordable! Performance wise they are very close !
Thanks for your awesome review👍 Wanting to upgrade from fanatec V2.5 it's been a fantastic wheel wheel but chasing more subtle feel (road detail). Just little concerned about torque ripple. By tuning it out in the R12 do you trade off detail? Thanks again, great content.
Yes Scott, I you take a way from the read details you take of the ripple and must make compromises between effects and ripples! That’s the case with all bases anyway even with the Simucube2 just the biggest bases can be smoother in more aggressive settings!
They are in the absolute same category man ! No one have advantage over the other! Better choice which ecosystem you want to join and from force feedback quickly you will get the same results!
I would suggest to have it on max in outhouse and hit the auto button after few laps with every different car! Usually that will give you clipping only on curbs which is not a problem!
Depends on the car but like he said you should have the settings maxed in the pit house app, and in iracing you change it on a per car bases cause no two cars have the same amount of feedback. For example I set it to 20nm in iracing if I’m driving the Mazda cup car, but if I’m using a gt3 or formula car I turn it down by like half. Just look up moza R9 iracing settings for the pit house app and in iracing just do a test lap so you can adjust it to your preference.
@@chepilevskican you make a video specific for Moza R9 settings? I love your content and have a real dilemma. I think you have enough experience with Moza gear and since Europe has crazy Moza prizes, i have 3 options for wheelbase. R9 V2 + KS for 650€, R12 for 630€, or R21 for 1090€. I have money for any of them. Should i go for mid R9 to high-mid R12 range, or pull the trigger on R21 and call it a day for next few years? Or atleast your opinion if 300€ more is worth from R12 to R21, or just stick with R9 V2 and wait to see what Moza do next? I have GT DD 8nm atm, and maybe R9 or R12 is not a good way to go? Just use Fanatec and skip to R21 then? Sry for wasting your time with a mile long message, but you are the only youtuber i trust to give honest non-filtered (since you hate filters :) ) opinion.
Hey buddy, I’m always happy to give opinion as that’s the point of this channel 😃 Having already the DD from Fanatec, Moza R12 will be noticeable upgrade but if you can afford the R21 the cost is well worth and you may not need other DD base for very long time as those in this class are very close to each other! R9 is great but after R12 arrival is not worth in my opinion!
@@chepilevski Thanks a lot for fast reply. I only considered an R9 becouse it comes bundeled with KS wheel for 650€ which makes it cost 300€ (compared to 650 for R12 and 1050 for R21). Just wanted to escape from Fanatec Sh..y QR1 and requirement for SRM or HUB to enable FFB on custom wheels. Maybe i should get the R9+KS since i dont have any MOZA wheels, play with it for a while till i sell my Fanatec stuff and get to know MOZA ecosystem. Then sell it for R21. That seems like a good way to go. Go Torque or go home :)
One thing for sure is that the SIMAGIC ecosystem is definitely of better quality than Moza, now you have to consider the overheating issue of the Alpha mini, until now I have never seen anyone say that it broke its base because of the heat but personally I stop using it after a certain time to not damage it, in this price range if I had to choose another brand it would probably be Moza so it's a difficult choice between the two.
Honestly this base for the money looks better choice and with the KS wheel can be very affordable combo! As Ali said, Simagic are bit more refined products and for now have bit better ecosystem ! I would say , both are very good choice for the price and must be down to what you prefer especially!
ok so i just got my moza wheel But i have a slight issue im playing f1 23 with it and when the wheel is in the center i feel notchy feelings how do i eliminate this..i didnt hear you mention this in review so what wheel setting do you use?
Try to put down the road effects. Start with road effects 1 and you can add also some damping! I don’t know that sim but check is there are some effects in the game! If there are effects options in game , turn all off or set them to zero! Those are mostly for joysticks !
My only issue with the Moza bases is their bases are overrated which is why they have over heating issues and that they fall off drastically which is why so many reviewers say the 12 feels more comparable to a 8nm base and the 9 feels closer to a 6nm base… I love that it’s another budget option but I hate that no one addresses that the company is lying about its actual strength and quality by over rating them and basically false advertising them. My friends room use to get so hot because of his R12 and he sold it and got a Simagic and his room is so much cooler. I feel like 90% of their customers are people who hate or just refuse to deal with fanatec.

I had the Moza R9 and it perfectly suited my needs, but fate and a stroke of luck brought the R21 into my hands. R12 is great value and good amount of power for normal use!

In these days, the moza has released 2 updates, now I notice more smoothness in the steering wheel movements, while I notice more the effects of the road, combined with 1 buttkicker in the cockpit it is incredibly addictive. Moza is doing really well and with 12Nm moza has hit the nail on the head. I also have to say that your videos are surprisingly instructive. Whenever I see a video of yours the next thing I do is turn on the computer and enjoy the simracing experience. Thank you

Have you noticed any heat issues? I found quite a few people saying the R5 and R9 always overheat which lowers the NM.

I'm torn between this and the cammus 15nm
Cammus is available in my country and moza isn't and requires shipping
Camus 15 is a beast and if is not as compact as this it is way stronger with more features but is huge😁

Space is not an issue as I'm using a custom cockpit with vr, but my only concern is that I hear alot of people saying that it is all power with no details. I've seen your review but don't know if it's a big issue or if it has been fixed.

Hey buddy, you don’t need to upgrade your R9 with this for 3nm in my opinion!

From my experience, the FFB quality is very close and for my personal like I don’t mind which base will I use between Moza 12 and Mini!

The Moza is however cheaper!

@jk81hockey I believe they sell a controller box so you can use their wheels on other bases but it would be wired not wireless.
The R21 feels a lot like the SC2 pro to me at least in iRacing, ACC, AMS2 and rFactor2
I’ve tested the the SC2 sport versus Pro and Ultimate and from FFB quality they felt the same as well to me and the only difference I found was the strength!
"Is there any difference in terms of durability and quality between Moza and Fanatec? Which one would you prefer?"

In terms of FFB quality if there are differences it will be very hard to say as for my use I can make them feel exactly as I want them feel!
I usually say to people to not think much about performance as that is very close and choose mostly from they own esthetics point of view looking in the ecosystems 🤛

Do you think its worth upgrading? thanks ;)

It will be noticeable upgrade but I believe it will be better to save for those strong bases and never think ever again about upgrades!
The CSL DD already gives you enough and if you want to stop thinking about bases just save for bit longer! VRS DD is also very powerful option for 20nm torques !

Hi Steliyan
Another great video as usual 👍 I have a question though.
Hey buddy, thanks for the kind words and support 🤛
My advice is always, if you already have the CSL DD which is 8nm is better to be patient and save bit more for above 20nm bases !
Hi what did you go for at the end?

How’s it feel in rf2. I’m looking for detail, not heavy truck feel. My left arm has 40% strength so I have to consider that. Plus the cars I’ve raced were never extremely heavy
I will start full testing on RF2 and report buddy!
@@chepilevski speaking or RF2, or RF. RF2 was so hard to get running years ago I said forget it. Seeing you like it makes me want to try again. I think you’re looking for a “simulation” as I am.

My personal opinion is ones you have a DD base like you’ve got the CSL DD you are already in the direct drive world and next step must be the big bases of you really want to not ever think about upgrading!
I’ve talk with someone who wanted to move from Fanatec and got the Moza 12 was happy with the the difference but again, you have to think that will be the last change for years to come or you will start thinking later (WHAT IF)
In my opinion between R12 and R16 from value point of view the 12 is way better choice and for example R21 is the correct choice if you want to go big!
@@chepilevski well that´s a good point what made me maybe rethink about this decision, thanks for your feedback !
Which base wins between Simagic alpha mini and Moza R12 ?
I would say they are very close with R12 having better price and combined with the KS can be bit more affordable!
Performance wise they are very close !
Which one has better ecosystem??
Thanks for your awesome review👍
Wanting to upgrade from fanatec V2.5 it's been a fantastic wheel wheel but chasing more subtle feel (road detail).
@@chepilevski thanks for your informative response very much appreciated.
Nice review !!!!!
I have sold my simucube 2 pro, and I have MOZA now, same feeling, with the money I have bought a new monitor
I know exactly what you mean 🤛
If you don't mind me asking, which Moza wheelbase did you get? And how much FFB details did you sacrifice for the Moza?
@@parthivroy817 sorry I have rebought immediately a simucube 2 pro, Moza was so awfull, I have refund it
In your honest opinion for a beginner what you will recommend the Moza R12 brand new or a second hand Simagic Alpha? Same price… thanks!
Mini* sorry
They are in the absolute same category man !
No one have advantage over the other! Better choice which ecosystem you want to join and from force feedback quickly you will get the same results!
And which pedals will you recommend? I’m absolutely new in simracing but I want things that last for a wile!
So who has the better ecosystem? 🤔
@@Vonett I’ve missed completely those questions 🙈
In my opinion, the Simagic ecosystem is more refined!
so with r9, how much nm should i set in iracing settings
I would suggest to have it on max in outhouse and hit the auto button after few laps with every different car!
Usually that will give you clipping only on curbs which is not a problem!
Depends on the car but like he said you should have the settings maxed in the pit house app, and in iracing you change it on a per car bases cause no two cars have the same amount of feedback. For example I set it to 20nm in iracing if I’m driving the Mazda cup car, but if I’m using a gt3 or formula car I turn it down by like half. Just look up moza R9 iracing settings for the pit house app and in iracing just do a test lap so you can adjust it to your preference.
what baseline settings should i use on my r9
I usually go for road effects 7
Damping/friction 0
Return speed 100%
@@chepilevskican you make a video specific for Moza R9 settings? I have bad experience with R9 Moza with FFB cuts, losing texture detail after 20 minutes races.Even on radial is not working, case gets warm , motor gives weak effects, you say magnetic " ramblers " something weird😢,i have to return again the device for repair/replacement and costs extra money.
now what’s left for perfect ecosystem is qr with diy buttons and display support 🙏
does it overheat like the r9?
It is getting warm to touch but I haven’t found lost of strength in long sessions with aggressive settings.
What about R16? Worth it, or just go R12 or R21?
I personally believe R12 or 21
What games are you playing most of the time?
I’m iRacing guy but lately I’m in love with rF2 and drive very often ACC and AMS2
Boosted Media posted his review at exactly the same as you did. I watched yours first 😉
Always a winner vid!
Simagic ultimate or this ?
Well, the Ultimate is better base buddy!
This one is brilliant for the money but the Alpha U and R21 are different beasts!
@@chepilevskithanks for the reply mate I’m getting my first set up and been watching your reviews I’m from uk England!
Love this guy la videos ❤️
I am so confused … I am looking at Simagic and MOZA. But I have an LMP Pro DIY in Aluminum so the wheel is abit heavy. For me strength is a big point but I also need the best refined feeling for FFB. And now moza came with an insane update for the software which people claim has changed the feel of the wheelbase totally for the better. I can’t make up my mind :((((
Heeeeelp 😂
Hard choice buddy but you can’t go wrong I believe anyway.
What base are you using now and what Sim you drive the most?
@@chepilevski i am currently baseless and havent been simracing for years. I’m looking to get in to sim racing but more serious now. All I am missing is pedals and wheelbase.
I am thinking about the Moza r12 because of the amazing price right now, or Alpha mini.
If I don’t go for any of these (lesser Nm wheelbases) then I might just go for rhe Alpha ultimate which I heard is AMAZING!
Sorry forgot. And I like ACC and Asseto Corsa original game mostly. So probably
Gonna play the new EVO coming out. :) I am gonna try racing to :)
@@MRCroosingTootH well, somehow Moze feels bit more responsive in ACC but I don’t play AC at all and have no opinion on that!
@@MRCroosingTootH i use the Alpha Ultimate and just read a comment from someone who switched from mini to ultimate and using may settings I share often he said he felt incredible difference at the same torque levels!
The R12 and Mina however are very good bases and I guess if you don’t taste them side by side with their big brother you will get everything you need!
This doesn’t work with PS5, correct?
No buddy, unfortunately works only on PC
Hey buddy, I’m always happy to give opinion as that’s the point of this channel 😃
Having already the DD from Fanatec, Moza R12 will be noticeable upgrade but if you can afford the R21 the cost is well worth and you may not need other DD base for very long time as those in this class are very close to each other!
Go Torque or go home :)
you rule dude.
Much love buddy 🤗
Nice! I have a belt driven CSL Elite and thinking of upgrade. Do you prefer the R12 or the Simagic Alpha Mini?
So Simagic has better ecosystem 👆 got it.
Been looking for this answer 🙃
I just got myself the simagic mini last wek
That’s also great choice buddy! They are very close performance wise and the R12 just have bit better price!
There is nothing to regret 🤛
ok so i just got my moza wheel But i have a slight issue im playing f1 23 with it and when the wheel is in the center i feel notchy feelings how do i eliminate this..i didnt hear you mention this in review so what wheel setting do you use?
Try to put down the road effects. Start with road effects 1 and you can add also some damping!
I don’t know that sim but check is there are some effects in the game!
If there are effects options in game , turn all off or set them to zero! Those are mostly for joysticks !
Ordered mine! Wainting paciently from delivery xD
I think CSL DD is better than R12 or ?
Simagic Alpha Mini is still there...
Yes, that’s true!
This can be bit cheaper 🤛
Moza, Simagic i Asetek naistina natiskat zdravo pazara i Fanatec trqbva da otgovorqt s neshto 😃
Нужно быстрее продавать фанатек, пока покупают 😁
Moza the best for her price! I have Moza R5
I have to agree 👍
Haha ahh now it makes my decision even harder!! R12 or R16?? Damnit man.
Ah nooo 🙈
12 or 21 ! 16 doesn’t worth
If you can afford 16 better save bit more for R21 or go for 12 and save as much as you can!
@@chepilevski i see! Thankyou just one more question. Any notchyness from R12 or R16?
@@jacooosthuizen3593 they have bit of that harsh feeling as all other bases have in certain settings but can be fixed with the road detail setting.
The R21 for example is smoother then the R12 in the same settings!
@@chepilevski if you had to choose between alpha mini or moza r12 what would you choose and why? Thanks for your time.
@@richdudecamaro as a feedback delivery they are very equal and can’t pick a winner but I personally prefer the esthetics of the Simagic wheels for example!
I personally believe you must think more which ecosystem suits you the most in future upgrades and decide which way to go! FFB is very good from both sides!
OK thank you
🤛
Funny how belt driven wheels are almost long forgotten.
Yeh man, the sim involved dramatically in the last few years 😃
The T300RS is still has quite good resale value, I think it won't be forgotten since it's still almost half the price of a Moza R5 Bundle.
@@X1erra yes it is. DD will win out in the end. Less parts to source to build them imo
wow a $1000 wheel base is better then a $590 wheel base
