Me and my friend played GGXX#R for countless hours back at my parent's home. We played what we called "World Tour", picking the same character and fighting eachother with all the cast, writing down who won with each one. We had insane amounts of fun. I just feel grateful for the fact that this game and series exist.

sonicsucks20 No, he is an annoying boy scout of a hero. I've seen his character be portrayed much better in other series. I'm not trolling at the moment, only listening to the music. Guilty Gears' hero fights for the unrealistic goal of peace, BlazBlues' hero fights to ensure the worlds' survival and balance. Ky is one who fights for peace, yet peace is a problem without an answer. Whatever he comes up with, it will either be impractical, a temporary fix, have major repercussions, or an absurd resolution that has nothing to do with how the real world works. I'll take Sol over him any day. I will say this about Jin. His goal as a character, he's nowhere near it, but once he achieves it that's it. I've saved the world from the Black Beast, FTW. Then the rest of the world takes it from there for better or worse.
Ky's appearance may seem generic compared to the bizarre GG cast but he fought super strong Gears like Sol, Justice, Testament and Dizzy and lived. And besides that he became KING, took Justice's daughter as his girlfriend and convinced Sol to babysit his son with her O_O
And also all the times Sol and Ky fought where Ky lost isn't because Sol was stronger it was because Ky was HOLDING BACK. Granted I thought Sol still likely had the advantage with his Dragon Install...then they just gave Ky an install too so I'm just like "WELP"

From what you say, you seem to like straightforward characters... Simple, but respectable nonetheless. Ky may look like the token anime boy, but his character development throughout the series is most definitely good. If you like characters like that, you may take a liking to Kiryu Kazuma.

A lot of songs from this series have parts that resemble each other. Especially the popular ones (i.e. Holy Orders, which also has different versions of its own). But they still manage to keep them individual enough to not be labeled "stale". Which is why GG has one of the best VG soundtracks.

This game is underrated, man. I remember playing this years ago as a kid when my brother bought it. Greatest fighter in my opinion. A Japanese anime style fighter and heavy metal music? No contest! \m/
One of the reasons why I like this song is that first you hear music you would expect from a castle level. Then, it goes from castle music to awesome rock music. It's brilliant in my opinion
