Hi Dan thanks for a great informational - There is a piece on an Australian site about wireless - Hyundai say new gen Kona before Q4 2023 will with 'high confidence' be capable of being upgraded to wireless. YT keeps pulling comments I place the URL in. Perhaps your dealer can confirm for when you get one to drive?
It is wireless in Australia already. My buddy is driving it already. Update over the air for the new kona coming for those that do not have it already.
Took delivery of a 2024 Kona Hybrid N-Line a couple of weeks ago in Australia. Within an hour of taking delivery, after a simple automatic software update, I had wireless Apple CarPlay.
I have the 2024 Kona SEL FWD. I had to connect with a data cable for Carplay setup but once that was done it has been wireless connect ever sense. No cable needed.
I have the Hyundai 2024 Kona ev which has wireless apple carplay. I don’t get the menu as you show. All I get is bluetooth audio which plays the music on my iPhone. Any suggestions
I have my Kona 8 months..I’m set up for car play, making phone calls, sending text or receiving text all of a sudden doesn’t work, and I can’t find car play anywhere.. When I try to make a call or text it says to set up my device to Bluetooth. Blue tooth is on,on my phone…I don’t know what to do?? Very frustrated

Enough though my 2024 has wireless CarPlay can only access the full menu I have to usb connection which is bummer 😅

There was a software update in Nov 2023 (at least for EU) that allows wireless carplay.
