I hope they do a second edition based on Jung, because Freuds psychoanalysis is a classic example of what a lackluster simplification of a solution for a problem is. Or maybe the creators mix the two? Anyways - Freud is a reductionist trying to fit things into neat little boxes while Jung takes on each case as a unique puzzle to solve by delving into the persons psyche.
This does look promising and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive around the block! And a theme that isn't overly used too. All in all something that I'll probably late pledge at some point, or pick up once in retail, as the end of the year is pretty tight budget wise :)
As I mentioned in the comments of the BoardgameCo video. You should make a video similar like encyclopedia . Alex logic and your chaos - perfect match 😂
The combination of this game's theme (intriguing), look (fabulous), and gameplay appeal to me quite strongly indeed. Promises to be a richly enjoyable experience. The only thing that bugs me the tiniest bit is any 'glorification' of Sigmund Freud, about whom I have decidedly negative opinions. But I'm not sure this game really even does that (glamorize Freud). He was, after all, an extremely influential figure, and the subject of psychoanalysis is fascinating. :)
West here, this game was easily my favorite game we play tested in the last 6 months. I think it will easily be in the top 5 releases of the year this year when it delivers.
LOL JESSE, I think they watched your video before putting the campaign live, The top Tier the "SUPEREGO" has a nightmare expansion. lol, This game looks amazing, but honestly. I don't think it's for me or my group. We just don't do good on these type of games, all thou this one looks easier to play then most of the heavy euros. I'm just not sure. I'd like to see a full gameplay.
It hurts a little hearing Austria mixed with Germany. It’s like saying Irish are British. I guess however you feel like it. Otherwise, thank you very much for giving us this gameplay overview!
“Using coffee to make yourself more energized and take more actions” I have a feeling one of the designers thought “Freud was into cocaine…I should put a mechanism is there where you do cocaine to get more energy, that would be historical and funny.” Then the designer was like “Umm, maybe not. How about coffee?”
I love the fact that the game language through icons is a plus for me
It's very well done.
This has been my most highly anticipated campaign since I heard about it a few months ago! Can't wait to go all in in a few minutes!
Do it!!
Yeah, I’ll be kickstarting this game. I love a good euro, and this from all accounts, seems to be exemplary. Thnx!
It is very very very solid!
It seems to be one of the big ones, anticipating wise.
It looks awesome and seems right up my alley!
It really is!
Man Jesse is so good in conveying his thoughts on why he likes a game :) Can't wait for the let's play! Thanks for the Video

Sounds like a cool idea!
@@Quackalope anyways good content, thanks!
@@hraughr Would love to see content on Jung's approach as well.
I hope the 3rd edition is based on Albert Ellis where you challenge every irrational gameplay move by your opponent.

Very fair.
Random observation: West's voice is really nice
Very good voice - just don't tell him
West, you need to play more Lacerda euro's, because this game falls very much in line with those, and those are quite often beautiful.
He enjoyed the Mindlash we did!
West's shirt just makes this. Perfect fit for a game about dreaming.
West here, thank you!
Thanks for the great coverage! 💡

23:08 Totally predicted the expansion. Does this guy know his stuff or what?!?
Ty for the video!
Quack
"There is no language. There is no language. Look at this?!"
Nuff' said.
Excellent overview, thanks fellas! Also, it happens to often to be coincidence... What's your connection to tenhundred?
I am just a big fan :)
Curious what they will offer to make me want to back now? I am very interested, but may just wait until retail and save a little in the wallet.
Same! I'm super hyped for this game but they also need to convince me why I shouldn't wait for retail
Yea, good question!

@@Quackalope Thank you so much for your response, West.
@@Quackalope Either of you: How strongly did you feel the theme (which I think is unique and creative) came through in the gameplay?
23:12 you mean the Nightmares expansion 😉
that leprechaun analogy...was....thematic...lol
West’s beard lookin fantastic
West here, thank you!!!

West here, I should have known better. My college professors would be rolling over in their Graves.
@@Quackalope no worries, all good 👍, keep on doing great content :)
I caught that too: wien is Vienna

I mean, the first two letters are there right? 😉
You're a monster... how do you get through this many games!
We . . . have many people who play with us to help!

Quack!

Quack!
Will a stretch goal be a baggie of coke?
"Coffee." It's coffee...
@@jonnypac Columbian pure white coffee.
Wien = Vienna, so Austria 🇦🇹 =)
and Freud was Austrian :)
XD
4:11 you are not curing Patients, you are treating clients. Please be aware of the language changes since the 1900s.
@@ButOneThingIsNeedful I was just stating that they are using different terminology in the video than the game does.
Instaback for me.
It's so great.
Wien = Vienna!!! And this is the capital of Austria, not some location in Germany.
Ah well, that would make sense. Quack
Ffs, dont talk at the same time. It is really annoying.
Vienna in Germany ? Serios? Sorry but thats show me a lot of youre expertise or better it show me the sad truth.
Go and take an Education !!!
