Thanks for making the videos. The diameter tape is a forestry regular item, I used one every day early in my career. Forestry Suppliers is one source of the diameter tapes as well as other forestry specialty stores.

You Idaho guys are tough. After cleaning up the Teton Dam disaster. And , what is so cool, still got that WABCO Rock Truck.
Good morning Jeff it’s sure a long road. Thank you for the video and take care,😎👍🇬🇧.
Jeff. You do some marvelous work. not only from the standpoint of knowing your dirt, but also from the fact that you do some fantastic video word I know you put a lot of work into both, The dirt work pays the bill, and while the videos put some change in your pocket, it is still your method of attacking every job you undertake. I've been in dirt since '73,(wish I was even 10 years younger). I've seen few excavator that match your complete understanding of all things excavating. WAY TO GO - - You da Man!! I'm a new subscriber.
Brake clean works great to clean up electrical parts.. You are one of my favorite channels, I appreciate your humor, keep the vids coming.
i think with all those rattle snakes you would have an awesome pair of new boots lol
When you can run it in your sleep is when you qualify to be an "OPERATOR". :-)
Yep where i work as a fitter an operator is a term used very loosley nowdays !!! some of them reckon they can operate 657 scrapers - pigs ass !! , they break em i fix em .

chris creech
Or See to can't see 6 days a week ?
In Wyoming they call a Blade (aka Grader) a "Motor Patrol". And yes, sometimes you wonder if you will ever make it back to the barn!!
After the guys put it on the money the bouncing was over
One thing about it ...you finish this job your blade on the grader will be slick shined for sure
Love your channel. You don't need to apologize about working and not getting out videos. We understand work makes your living and pays your bills youtube is a hobby buddy So no problem. I love watching all your videos rather its moving dirt or working on big equipment I'M sure you like the making the moving dirt videos better because you are making money when your moving dirt and spending money when your doing repairs. Hope you had a great 4th. God Bless America!!! From one of your awesome subscribers Bob Kernodle Nashville,TN.
Thanks bob! it's comments like yours that keep me motivated

You never disappoint with some good info and entertainment both! Thanks! Happy 4th of July!🇺🇸
there's almost nothing that looks, sounds and smokes better than an old CAT
Spilled my coffee when you put us in the rim of the grader Lol
Made me woosy to
Really good drone work here!
Hello Jeff!
I totaly missed this episode!
I had a laugh when You had a at my surname!
Swedish aint easy!
But alittle tip is that You take away them dots over the ö and pronounce as a o . Sjogren..
And You can do the same with å and ä then You have an a.
It work’s fine.
Keep on moving that dirt and keep them videos comming!

My brother is one of the best blade hands around these parts, he works for Logan county. It is something not everyone is cut out to do, takes lots of skill and time to master a grader. You are going to get that hat dirty if ya keep wearing it, maybe solid black next round. Thanks for the video, another hit! Happy Independence Day Jeff!!!
Super video as usual dude. Love the camera angles of the grader blade. Hope the end of that job goes quick 👍
Kill me now☻ just finished 18 miles and now we have to move 15 miles and do another stretch
Jpaydirt The consequence of doing the job too good i suppose 😉👍
Grader looks good with the new tires. Your wife will probably want to ride with you now. ☺
I ride her Dave☻
Cool video, reminds me of my dad when he ran heavy equipment. Keep em coming please, thank you. David Asquith.
Ginger St James and Merle in the same vid, can't ask for much better
Hilarious Jeff, sleeping on the job love it!🤣
Love the video's from Haslet, TX!
Thank you so much for answering my question, I really appreciate it!
running hot and burning oil? sounds like a normal day for me :(
Hi jay Tomappleyard here just subscribed, love ur Chanel man.like how u use vintage cats,if its not broke dont fix it.iam from scotland,by the way.
I’ve put dielectric grease on them and it seems to have working great on the welder.
what does dielectric grease do?
Digging the pit for loading Brilliant. But with so
many repetitive loads , and 3 or less team?
Love the ole 988. Hauled a lot of strip-mine coal in pa in the 80'S.They were king of the coal pit loaders back then.
Is the bucket ram cylinder the same as 31 or 7 to me they look like ejector cylinder on a scraper

Whenever you have the time to post a new video is fine with me.You just do what you gotta do to make a living us RUclipsrs will survive. The anticipation is worth it.Your always great entertainment for me.
Thanks!
Thanks for another awesome video I try to keep up and watch everyone enjoy watching you all enjoy watching you work it reminds me of when I was working in North Carolina with heavy equipment and my brother also runs heavy equipment for BP on Prudhoe Bay Alaska so you can say it's a family thing
I knew a rural road grader that carried a makarov pistol in his infinite possibilities bag...macgyver bag of crap. The pistol was for putting down injured animals on the side of the roads. Sometimes he would come across a few treasures found in the ditches and culverts, being high up in a grader, he would spot it easily, if the items looked too good, ie stolen, he would leave it alone for a week or two, before claiming salvage rights.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to make a great video!
Love the old cat equipment that you run.
Glad to see another stellar video Jeff! Happy 4th of July my friend!!
Did you say hard on ? Great job man thanks Jim
That’s a badass intro graphic there Jpay
I loved this job, and love Ginger Grrr.
@@Jpaydirt Ginger Reminds me of an o' gal by the name or Rusty Warren album "Knockers up!"
Good compleckion I bet
I’ve hauled coal off of a few strip mines that we sure could’ve used a smooth grader man I’ve watched a few videos of yours and you’re pretty smooth on that grader. I’m tellin ya the road was in better shape before it was graded.
Your videos are great! Get them out when you can. Lawrence Popp from Showlow Az
You do a great job making theses videos. I like seeing how you do things out west there, very different terrain and conditions. I'm curious what's the plan with ol Kenny? You going to try and get him going this winter? Thanks for sharing
I enjoy reading the comments as much as watching your videos. Keep em coming. Happy 4th.
Oh I almost forgot happy Fourth of July
I started getting halfway decent on 12 GS and 120s guy I was working for would use me on subgrade or pre grade for curbing I never made it to finish pre grade for curbing wasn't bad the curb guy would set up the string that the curb machine follows and you can run along under the string right at about 5 in above the moldboard you leave it a little high for the curb machine so that way it clears its own level path
Contact cleaner in a can will clean that switch. Check contacts are not running hot under load would indicate contacts have too much resistance.
you're a hoot!😜
Time for a new miller welder ,
Jeff another great video i like how you explain your equipment and how it works also it's interesting your explanations on how you plan your jobs you should teach a course in the winter if you have time lol
Very nice
A good contact cleaner, LPS or CRC if you can get either of those easy. I use a contactor lube, or a light silicone spray used sparingly if you can't easily get a contactor lube. That old Lincoln with the hand crank is pretty cool, nice to see that old stuff still out working when you need it!
Great video, love that opening song. No buzzers??? Take care.
Your welcome Jeff. If you need any kind of sticker or graphic just give me a call. I will be in your neighborhood on Fri and on Mon. Have a happy fourth.
I’m about to Blow A Head Gasket!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬 Damn internet isn’t letting me down load this vid!!! Sombitch this cant be just cant be!!!!
Ya think the welder will still work painted cat colors? Ha ha thanks Jeff.
the parts will cost more☻
Looks like that place ain't doing nothing but holding the world together!
Happy 4th of July to you and your family my friend. Great video.
Damn I’m in Tehachapi Ca hold that phone # up again looking good Mr Bonner

I spray my Lincoln contacts off once in awhile with electrical contact cleaner and then give them a light blowing off
lots of innuendos in there carson, "spray your Lincoln?" Blow off" hmmm☻
Jpaydirt you got it she will take of you for years to come....
Jeff I run a champion 730B here in North Central Ohio. We got almost 30 lane Miles of gravel roads. The only thing I have to watch out for is Amish buggies.
why? do they do much damage when you hit them☻
Man I had to laugh.
I was just thinking to myself how much I hate running a grader, most boring job (to me) in the world.
And then you get out and explain how tedious it is and give a hats off to the guys that run them all the time. Perfect.
Good thing I am a mechanic and only have to run one once every few years.
The good old 14G, my favorite grader.
The outfit that I just retired from just picked up a new(er) 14M.
Gahhhhhhh!!!!!
Glad that I retired. To many computers and sensors and goodies on that thing.
I will say, the fellow running it is in his 60's, took him a bit to get the hang of the controls but he really likes it now.
The no steering wheel thing, I don't know.
That would freak me out roading it!
they make an elecronics cleaning spray its great for cleaning tuners an such (used to have to clean tv selectors with it) the fan thats ABS plastic it gets horribly brittle as it ages anything can make it explode once their over a few years old
Wish I was closer
I d love to come work for you. I used to run machines you have. thanks Jeff
YEAH MERELE HAGGARD, AND I KEEP ON WORKIN, AS LONG AS MY TWO HANDS ARE FIT TO USE, AND I GO DOWN TO THE TAVERN, SING A LITTLE BIT OF THESE WORKING MAN BLUEEEES
Hello Sir,I've watched several Vlogs from your channel it's always had interesting stories information about equipment that works for your servicing, moving and working with the earth moving equipment which I've always found extremely interesting both when I was a younger man and now that I'm about to hit 65 any way some else I just noticed that you could show a thing or Two or Three things about your Video Camera placement Steven Sieburg could be so lucky...Txs. Keep up the Great work you do...P.S.Keep The Shiny Side up and the Greasy parts Down...
I know your busier than a 2 peckered goat but wanted to tell you that you have your sound MASTERED. Keep up the awsome vids Jeff. Thanks man.
In my case I'm busier than a one eyed judge at a wet T shirt contest☻
I have a brand new 14hp kohler n fan did exact same thing 2nd time i used it!
I think Kohler is pronounced KornHoler
I have the same welder I had to change the flywheel and coils but my plastic fan is still good for now. Mine also lives on a service truck and comes in real handy.
" AWESOME" update ... 😍😊
That plastic fan is just like those (plastic tywraps) junk ties...... AGE FRACTURE I believe that sudden acceleration from striking the arc and revving up /down and finally outdoors environment took its toll ..... seen it happen to plastics over the last fifty years of wrenching.... Especially those roof vents on trailers. KEEP THEM CINDERS FLYING !!!!🙂🤗😍😍
Damn didn't make the white board again LOL Great vid again Jeff that sure is a weird project out there in the middle of nowhere. My first Cat equipment was in he National Guard in 1970, was an old (then) D-8 Cable dozer I was never a very good operator on that thing but I sure was an expert at putting that cable back together LOL, moved on to the D-7 series I became pretty good on those but I was a much better loader guy, did a big parking lot for the State Police for their impound storage site, roughed it all in with the D-7 and learned what grade stakes were and how to read them and finished that job with a brand new Cat 12G grader ( I mean I had to take the plastic bags off all the levers and the steering wheel ) what a joy that was the run, compared to my first Grader was a mechanical drives to all the gear boxes
Take care Jeff I've almost caught up on all your vid I think
Alf Anderson II Putnam, Ct Went to Sweden 5/7 years ago and found some great relatives over there and the little farm town my Grand Father left to come over here to America, my oldest daughter wants to go back in 2020 have to see how my old legs are doin but I would like to go back again
Where in sweden are you a product of brother
Near Yastad or Horby in Southern Sweden
Really good stuff.
Really enjoy the grader work. I was wondering how long you could let those new shoes sit at the shop before the 14G took a little break to be reshod.
It was about a week
Somehow, someway, the new tires and the grader would have gotten together pretty damn quick... Not quite meet in the middle, but close.
you should straight pipe the D9 with that new turbo

Blading rocks can be very frustrating. We maintain 3 townships year around which equals around 80 miles of road. Time goes pretty quick when 2 blades go out at the same time and follow each other.

I use electric spray cleaner on electric contact points, and it really does a fantastic job, there is no mess or residue, it also dries in 40 seconds or less.
nick beam years ago I worked in a shop and we used Freon it was R8 or something like that and sometimes dry cleaning fluid if what we were working on was real scummy but that sh*t all illegal now because it gives lab rats a complex or something, now I use contact cleaner like you do and feel like I am getting violated when I look at the price a can of that stuff coast.
I thought Western Kansas was desolate I can't believe people actually live out there. LOL😬
Hey Jeff, do you still need an 18 speed transmission for the Kenny, there is a truck scrap yard down the road from me that has all kinds of semi trucks. I would be glad to check with them to see if they have one if you would like.
Thanks John! but just between you and me LOL I have secured one
I run a blade for my local county we have 770g deere machines with the antler rack and they are pretty luxurious but it does get old. I respect the old timers before radio and AC !
770 was preferred by finish operators 40 years ago Deere must've had something right
Michaelangelo probably got tired of what he was doing
hello there Sir.i don't think you have ever put my name on the white board.could you? thank you very much Sir.much love from West Virginia.✌️🚛🇺🇸🙏
I take master card and Visa ROFLMAO
sure I can, thanks for watching
Jeff, in the electronics world we often use a rattle can of DeOxit, which is a contact cleaner which you can get at Home Depot and such. The switches and pots of electronics get dirty and gummed up, and this stuff flushes out the goo.
I've had that cleaner mentioned a lot before, must be good stuff
To get a couple of fans of contact cleaner for your welder switches buddy
