Another great video Sep. I like your tent. I use a tent, because of the venomous snakes we have in Arkansas. We have rattle snakes, copper heads, coral snakes and the cotton mouth snake. The tent keeps them out. Many people here who sleep in the open air have woken up with a snake in there sleeping bags. Snakes like to crawl in for the warmth. And when you move in the bag you get bitten. So I use a tent.Stay well my friend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

I think that tent is perfect for the reasons you say. Keep the bugs out and let the children feel comfortable. Good coffee, good company and a good fire. That's a great time in the woods Sepp. Wow, that tent folds up fast.

Wonderful video, really enjoyed the demonstration of your new tent, and the ease of putting up and taking it down! How soon before the technology will have a drone you'll attach to it and follow you out of the woods? Thanks Sepp and Susanne for the fun times, and I''ll pass on the insect goodies!

Another really enjoyable and informative video. I really like that tent, and Susanne's knife! Never heard of potatoes being made that way - sorta like using a dutch oven, having the heat on top. Thanks for showing the Tinder-Keep, but also always enjoy watching use of the bow-drill.

Hi Sepp and Suzanne! It's nice that you were able to have a longer video this time around! The tent was a smash hit on account of it's design and yes the ventilation is very good in deed! I have looked at that type of tent about three years ago and I was a little apprehensive about the use of so much plastic hardware that is used. That particular design has some great bow type tensioning mechanism that seems quite adequate but again, I would have a concern of the durability of the plastic itself. Quite often, it would be the type of plastic that is being used. If the components were made out of nylon for instance, I would not have a worry in the world! Those bushcraft style potatoes sure did turn out good and that is a plus too in the finale! Thank-You for the invite!

That's a nice little tent. Nothing like having a mosquito-proof place to sleep with they are out and biting. I like to sleep "cowboy-style" under the stars, but not at the expense of donating blood to mosquitoes and biting flies.

Yes, I 4got to mention the knife 😲. But it is a beast!!! And I love it b cuz it looks well used ?!! I'm sure it will b 🤗 !!! Just ONCE I'd love to have a knife that was truly made just for me. I'd want some of the hammering mark's to still show !!!! And a form-fitted knife sheath.
And a place to hold a half inch round ferro rod !!!! A " dangler " with a drain hole and a hole for a small Kevlar paracord strap too tight to my leg.
So it always moves with me 👅🤩🤗👍🏽👍🏽

    Hi Sepp (and Susanne) ..
Now that was a great share 👍 .. thanks 😊.
Sepp, every time I watch one of your Videos, I pick up something new for my Toolbox and to getting the Little Grey Cells reactivated 😊.
Quite a nifty little tent that is .. credit to the Design Team for some innovative Lateral Thinking.
Comfort 'Out There' .. back in the days of yore, the Mountain Men .. what they used to survive in the Wilds, was often for them the latest in 'High Tech'.
Within reason, use what you need / can get .. 'standing on Romanticism' can make for a more than uncomfortable outdoor experience. With their, for the day, High Tech Equipment, a lot of those Mountain Men 'didn't make it'. Sad .. but a Fact of Life.
In earlier years, my time in the military and, inter alia, the Angling / Outdoor / Whatever Clubs that I belonged to .. even at Work, I had a bit of a reputation for 'being organised'. Somewhat undeserved in my opinion .. all relative I suppose 😏. That said, my viewpoint was that "If you want to be uncomfortable out in the Bush, then that is your choice". Actually, it took very little extra effort in order to make one's experience far more rewarding. The Secret was 'what' that extra effort entailed .. and it varied according to the Situation 😊.
Ok .. enough 'useless information' from me 🙄😊. Once again .. a great share and until next time .. take care .. Tommy.

    Lieber Sepp, Liebe Susanne,

If you ate nothing but potatoes you would have all the protein you need.

    • @susannewilliams
      @susannewilliams 4 года назад +1

Potatoe has about 2g protein per 100gr. You need 2g protein per kg of body weight. So for me this would be 130g of protein. To get this much I would need to eat 6,5kg of potatoe per day. That is a bit too much I think.
